Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

The tent is the only one, with a private home, a unit and a tiny home on the property. The tent has an outdoor fire and fire pit area and outdoor lounge area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing peaceful stay This campsite is beautifully maintained and feels very secure. It’s completely private and incredibly quiet — the perfect place to relax and switch off. I was curious about the wood-fire heated outdoor bath, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Heating the water with fire and bathing under the stars after a hot day was absolutely incredible. Such a special off-grid moment. The nearby river and creek are also stunning — perfect for cooling down and enjoying nature. Overall, my stay was so relaxing and peaceful. I also want to apologise — when I was leaving, my car bumped into one of the wooden benches near the fire pit. The timber was heavier than I expected, and I wasn’t able to put it back perfectly. I’m very sorry for that. Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful place. I’d love to come back again.

Had a brilliant time at the property! The grounds are so well manicured, lush green grass for the kids and our dog to play on, we loved our adventures on the property, swimming in both the dams to cool off, then making use of the very well-appointed facilities, the hot showers were awesome. Brian is a fantastic host checking in to make sure all good, and then giving us privacy to enjoy our time, will be coming back soon for sure! Great Camp!

Thoroughly enjoyed 5 nights camping at The Gums with my dogs. I am a repeat customer and love the serenity there. The almost 4 hour return trip is always worth it. Received a nice supply of wood which I pre-ordered and got to meet more of the host family who are lovely people and really take care of their property and their campers. It was great to see the Monarch butterfly (plus other butterfly’s) thriving on the milkweed plant. Monarch butterfly numbers are dwindling in Australia so this was such a blessing to see. Had fun searching for their caterpillars also! Enjoyed watching the resident Willy wagtails with their two offspring, the resident kingfisher and magpies plus all the other birds and reptiles spotted during our walks.

Weekend Trip to Nine Mountains Glamping

This is such a lovely and thoughtful hip camp. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming. The came is private, and serene with outdoor bath tubs and shaded spots. We've stayed at many different "glamping" accomodations and this certainly can hang with the best of them. It's close to Brisbane, good value and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

4 nights at Larapinta

Our stay at Larapinta was absolutely beautiful. The view from the campsite was beautiful. We got to watch the sunset every evening, and it was breathtaking. We even had some friendly visitors during our stay. Cows would wander by from time to time, and every morning a little bird would stop by to sing us a song to wake us up. It was such a lovely touch of nature. The road getting there is definitely rough, so make sure to take Cameron’s warnings seriously, especially if it’s been raining. Once we arrived, we really appreciated the privacy we had in the penthouse. Even when a storm rolled in, we still had an amazing time and made great memories. Thank you, Cameron, for sharing your beautiful land with us. We’ll definitely be back again in the future!
