The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. Just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. At Logan Park Farm we have camping grounds and Murphy's Country Accommodation - a three bedroom cottage. Scenic Rim Regional Council Camp Ground Licence Acc21/0010 and Acc21/0012 There are no facilities here, if you do not have toilet facilities please do not book any of our sties. Firewood is available please message if you require it. Please arrive to camp prior to dark. Message host if you need to arrive later. The camp sites are spacious with plenty of distance between each site - no crowds. Each site is for your group only. Open for bookings for Christmas and New Year - numbers are limited. No large parties. We prefer to promote a quieter area. Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings. Enjoy the stars on a clear night. Explore the beautiful Scenic Rim area from here. Visit the historic Tamrookum All Saints Memorial Church. A large natural lagoon and the Logan River provide opportunities to relax, swim, fish or kayak. An abundance of Carp and Tilapia provide great fishing opportunities at the Lagoon or the Logan River. Children aged 12 years and under no charge (please do not include them in your numbers when making a booking) Pet friendly off-grid camping. All sites are unpowered. No motorboats or motor bikes. No parties - this is a quiet camping area please keep noise including music to a minimum level. Please respect our wildlife, our neighbours and your camping neighbours at all times. Enjoy our large camp sites with family and friends. Noise travels easily in the evening please reduce noise by 9pm. Larger groups welcome on some sites please message hosts. Tamrookum Store is 2 kilometres away for general goods, fuel and take away food.

Please don't park in the street if you have a confirmed booking open the gate drive in and find a camp site . Please park near a fire ring don't park underneath the tree otherwise it may well fall on your head. We are just 140 meters down Chestnut Rd on the left , look for the the little house letterbox at the front gate. See pic We now have onsite toilet for your convenience. We are a Quiet camp site so sorry so........ NO generators and No loud music please... We are located on six flat acres adjacent to Mt Tamborine in the picturesque Scenic Rim area. Chestnut Farm is only a short drive to the local wineries, alpaca farm and only minutes from the cute little town of Canungra with its famous pies and coffee shops. For a bit of mountain air take the short drive up to Mt Tamborine to the artistic hub of Gallery Walk. Chestnut Farm is a peaceful, serene place to camp. Enjoy native wildlife and an array of birdlife as you relax and unwind by a cosy fire. Take advantage of the local area activities such as hiking and horse riding trails, mountain bike tracks and climbing escarpments. You are going to love this gorgeous spot!

Silky oak flat is absolutely the best Hipcamp I’ve been to. It’s a large flat site with shade and right bedside the running creek where you can just sit on the rocks and let the water splash over you or swim in the deeper swimming holes the water is crystal clear and very refreshing, I loved to sit and watch the turtles swimming. Bryce is very friendly and accommodating with the firewood. Can’t wait to get back there in the near future

We had a lovely time! Great spot with easy access to a swimming hole which was a great depth for the kids to take floats in and have a proper swim with shallow sections for paddling too. Private with easy access to the main. 100% recommend! We will be back!

What an amazing place, the site is massive, so secluded, private and peaceful. Two beautiful swimming holes to cool off in. Access to the creek is easy and there is a rope to assist getting in and out for the deeper swimming hole. The wildlife is amazing to sit and watch and the cows come right up to the roped off site too. Would highly recommend this site to anyone. The hosts are brilliant, so friendly and great communication and to be able to buy firewood from them makes the stay so much better. We will be back again for sure!

Craig was very kind and helpful with getting me into the musings of Brisbane by Ferry. Water is there. Power for those who need it. It is a safe place and the highway can be heard at night, but not felt. So, when I need a place within Brisbane again, I believe this is an affordable Option for some days.
