Mount Morgan is situated on the Dee River, 38 km south of Rockhampton, and is an old gold mining town with lots of history and two museums, a railway and a town history museum. There are plenty of lookouts to see out over the town and the mine site. The Number 7 Dam, has walking and mountain bike tracks for beginners and the more advanced. We have 6 listings available at Meyenburg B&B Glamping, 2 tent sites for campers and 6 Tents which have linen included and creature comforts. All our listings have access to toilet and amenities. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Mount Morgan was a mining town. Mining of clay in a nearby hill for the production of furnace bricks continuing until the early 1900s, the resulting man-made caves came to be known as the Fireclay Caverns, which contained large openings that measure between 4–12 metres in height from the cave floor. Dinosaur footprints (preserved as infills) were later found in nine different sections of the Caverns, lining the ceiling dated to the Early Jurassic. There is also a community swimming pool, skate park and general playground near the Dee River on Butler St. The town has three pubs, an IGA, and a small general store directly across the street from the camp site. The Grand Hotel is the oldest pub, and is still trading in town.

Fabulous site would highly recommend it. Stayed on ensuite powered site. Staff super helpful with helping book future sites. Superb clean facilities. Close to beautiful beach and lot of information about what to see and do in the area.

Great place with lots of space , friendly owners and beautiful location not too far from civilisation . The amenities were shared ie both men and women use the same bathroom so if your shy about pooping in a cubicle next door to someone else of the opposite sex it might be an issue . This plus the fact that the only shower cubicle ( which was lockable ) was 5m long and 1.5 wide with two shower heads left me with a few questions lol . Great pressure and loads of hot water gave a good shower . Good rec room pool table and board games etc . Oven for the Sunday roast if you fancy it and you can buy fresh farm eggs . The pool looked very inviting but being winter I chickened out being 5 degrees at night . I would recommend this place , just be a little open minded about the bathroom situation.

Lovely Camp with lovely people. I am very glad I chose this camp and got to enjoy the best company I had in a while. BBQ Sunday is great! It`s a cute little Town with lots to do. I recommend going up to the lookout close to the camp early in the morning to see some wallabys.

We Arrived at 6:30 being greeted by the property manager, he was cool and helped us plug in our power, the place is absolutely divine with a hall that includes a pool table, dart board and kitchen area with a table that you can enjoy a meal at with your family, there wasn’t much light so the property manager bought us a down a big torch to help us be able to see. In the morning he came down and greeted us with a puppy who got the good morning scratches from me and my family. This is an absolutely gorgeous place to stay I will definitely back to visit again.

The grounds and gardens of the camp were beautifully kept and as I was the only camper there it had a nice sense of privacy. The absolute best part about this spot was the hosts, Terry and Yvonne. Terry warmly greeted me as I arrived and he offered to give me a tour of Yeppoon as I said I was headed out to look around by myself. We had a great afternoon and I felt he really went above and beyond what would be expected at any camp. Later in the evening we met up for a beer and a chat, along with Yvonne, and they were great company. The downside of the place was the wifi, which only stretched to just outside the rec room and not to the campsite at all. Also, if other people were camping, the showers would’ve been awkward as there were two showers, both in the same cubicle, only 2 flush toilets (2 more eco toilets elsewhere) and it all was unisex. The price was also a little high for what I’ve been paying but Terrys tour made that worth the price alone.

This camp site was the best one we stayed at our whole trip down the coast. The site has a cool old school vibe along with beautiful greenery and great amenities. All of that to be said, Yvonne and Terry were the best part of our stay. They came and greeted us, helped us with our camper and had us over for dinner. Lovely people who made us feel at home. We would 100% stay here again.
