Located on 250 acres, Empty Pockets farm is a cattle and crop farm on mixed country from rolling hills to tree lined creek banks. Privacy is guaranteed with a number of spacious sites available along two seasonal creeks and one site overlooking rolling hills and distant mountains. As a working cattle farm there are often inquisitive calves around. There are tracks right around the property for walking and exploring. You may see some of the local wildlife which include Rat Kangaroos and possums (both nocturnal), tree goanna, wallabies, echidna and many bird species. Located only 30 minutes from the beautiful Bunya Mountains and Coomba Falls. Motocross Mountain is 8km away and we are 5km from the Yarraman Rail Trail which is popular for mountain bike riding. Plenty of options for exploring or just stay, relax and unwind. We are pet friendly however we ask that dogs are kept on a leash. Season produce from the farm may be available for purchase depending on the season. Firewood is free from designated locations. We request that guests leave a zero footprint which means you need be self sufficient with your own toilet/shower facilities and all waste and rubbish is taken with you on departure.

Bunya Red Farm is a 160 acre mixed farm in the South Burnett, with awesome 360 degree views looking out to the beautiful Bunya Mountains and over farmland. We have cattle; alpacas; grow capers, peanuts and other seasonal crops. The farm also enjoys a sky full of stars at night with the lights of Kingaroy and wind farm sparkling in the distance. Bunya Red Farm is 8 kms off the Bunya Highway, with the last few kilometres of gravel road accessible by 2WD, motorhomes or buses. TV and mobile reception is excellent. Pet friendly (see rules). Campers must have own amenities for their chosen site and leave no trace. LeJackz has a quiet forest feeling and is secluded. LeJackz runs stud Bazadais cattle on the property. There is a natural spring and rock pools in Elva's creek, but is not running at the moment. At Le Jackz you come to relax and unwind and allow nature to be your therapist.The property is located near Maclagan, a small town situated at the foothills of Bunya Mountains National Park. The majestic Bunya Mountains were formed 30 million years ago and thought to be the remains of an old volcano. The national park features both wet and dry rainforests, grasslands and open bush supporting a diverse range of plant and animal species. From December to March, Bunya pine trees drop cones containing edible seeds known as Bunya nuts. Walk down to seasonal Jones Creek, explore the rock pools or sit and admire the wonderful view and enjoy the peace & quiet. A great spot for birdwatching with 31 species located on the property. Nearby to Maidenwell’s Coomba Falls and a short drive to the Bunya Mountains with many kilometres of rainforest walks. Stone Fire pits are available on all sites. Firewood can be pre-ordered with notice as an extra add-on. Local pub and cafe are a short drive away in Maidenwell. Maidenwell pub does an amazing Pig on the Spit if you are there the last Saturday of the month and great Pizzas! 370m Airstrip available for fly in visitors with appropriate prior notice. We absolutely loved our stay at Tinara "The Glenn Creek Side" it was peaceful, quiet, tidy and a very relaxed and secluded area and atmosphere. You feel like you are the only people on the farm because the campsites are so private. We got to enjoy beautiful scenery while also watching their beautiful cattle grazing not far from our camp site. We had the pleasure of meeting Tamara and she was very welcoming and a great host. We also ordered firewood as there is a great fire pit at the camp site, we were impressed with the amount of fire wood in the bags for $15 each. We took our Maremma with and she really enjoyed being walked around the beautiful farm. We will definitely be staying at Tinara again! Thank you Quentin and Tamara for having us. See you next time!

1 night at Waverley Historical Homestead

Fab stay @ Waverley Homestead, would highly recommend. We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves, which made it very special - so quiet, and with stunning views over the paddocks, looking towards the distant mountains. Great for individual campers who like company, but would also be perfect for a small group of friends, as the campfire in the middle makes it great for socializing. Really enjoyed the company of Mikey - resident dog - who is such a sweetheart and hung with us until Gav came home to reclaim him. Gav is lovely - popped down to make sure we had all we needed, and we had a good chat, then he left us to enjoy the solitude. Awesome sunset, and although it was a super hot day, it gradually cooled down and we were able to have a wee campfire, which was magical. Stars were spectacular throughout the night and birdlife lovely to watch in the trees. Plenty of shade for us in our van and flat ground to park up on. Weekend Trip to Bunya Red Farm

Mandy and Alan were very welcoming. They greeted us on arrival, gave us the lay of the land and the rundown on the amenities. About 4ish, Alan came dosn and rounded up the 4 kids and whisked them off into the next yard to feed the alpacas. Unfortunately we got rained out and couldn't stay the planned two nights, but the kids had a ball mucking about in the rain and chasing the frogs about. The amenities are fantastic - best campground shower I've ever had. The kitchen area is well-configured and we found anything we hsd forgotten to pack was probably in there. I'm definitely keen to stay again, hopefully during some cooler and more predictable weather.

Bunya Red Farm was really fantastic! The caper farm tour was very interesting (and delicious) and feeding the alpacas was a highlight. The grounds were so picturesque with farmland views in all directions. We loved the star-filled night sky and serenity of the place. Mandy and Allen were incredible hosts. Would recommend a stay in a heartbeat.

The beauty of Tinara is that you have totally private camping remote from any neighbouring campers.There are only three sites and they are large. There are nice walks around the property and you will have a peaceful stay with the cows and friendly horses for company. The Bunya Mountains with the lovely NP trails and coffee shop etc are only 45 minute drive away. Quentin and Tamara are most friendly and although a little tricky to find the property and campsites at first, Quentin’s directions are excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You do need to be self sufficient though and 4X4 is essential to access The Hill ( although easy enough). Communication with the owners was good and Telstra coverage is OK.

The hosted walks Allan did each day were perfect and then getting to feed the alpaca’s was a highlight. We will be back for sure!!

We had the most wonderful experience at Bunya Red Farm! From the moment we arrived, Mandy and Alan made us feel completely at home. They’re warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about creating a peaceful, family-friendly space — truly excellent hosts. Our 6-year-old was in heaven climbing the big tree near the campsite — it quickly became the highlight of the trip! Alan’s farm tours were a great — informative, engaging, and an absolute laugh! His stories made the whole experience unforgettable! The amenities were fantastic: clean, thoughtfully maintained, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Absolutely stunning sunset views and nice and secluded. Took the advantage of the total fire ban and went to the bun pub for dinner. Awesome old pub with $25 steak night on Thursday nights. Very relaxing atmosphere with the sound of cows all around. Also a great show of stars at night. Would be great for small groups 4-5 camps/ vans wanting to camp together with large communal fire out in the centre of the camp area. Look out for the resident magpie as he liked to swoop even sitting having your morning coffee. Friendly attentive host with delicious fresh eggs!

Our hosts were welcoming and guided us to campsite and gave advice for where to eat in town. Behind us were a couple of beautiful horses, to the left some curious cows and in front an amazing sunset. Simple and relaxing camping and bonus to have a rustic and clean flushing toilet on site.

Great open space with plenty of room for a drive thru site or large group with a big fire pit and amazing sunsets. Plenty to see around the area with the Bunya mountains up the road 20 minutes and the The Bun hotel five minutes away for a good feed and a cold beer with great service. Gav and Andria were very helpful on arrival and left us to enjoy our stay.
