Not all sites have toilets we ve now 3 toilets 1 bottom space 1 mid and 1 at top . Some campsites are more secluded than others, some have toilets some dont and of course great views. The kids will love toasting marshmallows around the campfire in the evenings. Sit back, relax and gaze at the stars. Pets welcome. The property is hilly and may be unsuitable for camper homes. No harming the wildlife, our wildlife is harmless if you do not provoke it or threaten it, Please use water wisely . A great stopover spot off the New England Hwy, near Glenaven, QLD! Open area of approximately 5 acres with paved access to property boundary. Fronts New England Highway just 15kms north of Crows Nest, Queensland on main road to Yarraman. Generally open area with some trees at rear of paddock. Natural open grass based paddock with natural surface. Wonderful open sky for viewing stars away from lights. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires welcome in the fire pit provided and pets are welcome too, just please ensure they stay in the paddock and don't disturb the cattle.

Weekend Trip to Lowood Nature Camp

We had a fantastic 2-night, 3-day stay at this peaceful property in Lowood, hosted by the wonderful Lynette and Lauren. This is the ideal spot for true off-grid camping. Important Note on Facilities: This is a primitive camp, meaning there are no shower or toilet facilities. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, but if you're prepared, the reward is pure quiet and space. What it lacks in amenities, it makes up for in space and charm. There is plenty of open land and the entire experience was incredibly relaxing. The check-in and check-out process was easy and seamless. The absolute highlight was the friendly resident horses! We highly recommend you pack carrots and apples to make some new friends. For restocking supplies like wood and ice, the town of Lowood is only a quick 5-minute drive away. Michaela's place is delighted with creativities. There are art installations, studios, and even karaoke bar with lots of custumes to choose. We enjoyed our camping time with doggos and horses. Besides, each camp ground is huge and far from eachother. We even had a dam view in the front of our camp ground! Michaela always responds messages instantly and helped us a lot. :)) Would definitely recommend to come!

Michaela’s land is peaceful, scenic, and full of charm—perfect for a relaxing getaway. What really stood out were the friendly farm animals, especially the pony, pigs, dogs and horses, which added a unique and fun experience. The property is well cared for, with plenty of open space. Michaela was a welcoming and thoughtful host, making sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. If you enjoy nature, animals, and a quiet escape, this spot is definitely worth visiting!

Great spot, just out of Lowood. A gate from the property on to the rail trail was excellent for a bike ride. Great communication. Track in was a little rough but this was communicated well and ok with our set up.

We booked with another family and we had a blast. It was quiet, the water was perfect for the kids to play in and there was a kayak for a bit of fun. The kids loved the different animals visiting, or going to different parts of the property to visit for feeding times. We enjoyed having a short time away close to home.

Geoffrey’s hospitality is truly unmatched — he went out of his way to help us with everything we needed (and even things we didn’t realise we needed, but absolutely did). The campsites are well maintained, secluded from others, and easily accessible. There’s heaps of timber available, plus plenty of space for big groups or families with kids. Sadly, they’ll be moving on soon, so we’ll definitely try to come back before you go! :D

We had such a wonderful stay at Rob’s place! From the moment we arrived, Rob made us feel welcome and at ease. He’s an amazing human being, very kind and easy-going. One of the highlights was definitely feeding the animals with Rob, which I highly recommend. It was such a unique and memorable experience. The facilities are excellent as well. The toilets were spotless, and the hot shower were perfect after a day outdoors. Everything was clean, well maintained, and clearly looked after with care. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and grateful for the experience. Thank you Rob for your hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful quiet spot best for self-contained camping. The trees are a little higher now so part of the view is covered, but you can still experience a gorgeous sunset and sunrise amongst the birds. Recommend bringing mosquito spray since there were one or two around. Thank you Francine & team for the lovely night!
