Want to save! Book direct via our website. Charleys Creek Campgrounds, Chinchilla (previously known as Clover Hill Camping) is a unique campground right on Chinchilla’s doorstep. Set on 35 acres on the banks of Charley Creek, it has a beautiful bush land setting adjacent to the creek. A truly tranquil experience. Recently rebranded the name to Charleys Creek Campgrounds as it is more fitting, as there is no clover, not much of a hill, and not in America (Ranch). This will also tie in with our other entities - Charleys Creek Beef and Charleys Creek Brewing. We have a number of projects on the go and planned for the Charleys Creek entities to make every stay a unique and authentic experience. "Not just a campgrounds, its the experience". You are welcome to visit us, get to know us, and be part of our journey. This campground offers toilets, showers, access to potable water, and power hook ups. Open fire pits, and fire wood available. It is a dog friendly property. The story of Clover Hill Ranch- In 2019 our livestock enterprise was struggling with the ongoing drought. Water was getting very low and we were buying hay from Victoria. One day while checking stock on our grazing property Bradys (adjacent to Clover Hill Ranch) we looked across the near dry creek and said to each other - if we are going to endure this drought we need to do something different. So we were able to acquire Clover Hill Ranch which was then being run by the CMCA under a lease agreement to the then owners. Then Covid struck and the CMCA left Clover Hill Ranch. So we took it on ourselves and it has been a journey managing our four farming blocks Riverleigh; Coleridge; The Shanti and Bradys as well as Clover Hill Ranch. Fast forward and it is now April 2021 we absolutely love it; enjoy chatting with Campers about our story and we have even organised a Farm Tour route through all of our properties. The feedback has been amazing. We are continuously doing improvements to Clover Hill Ranch with many new Powered Sites with town water and new campsites right on the creek. And everyone loves it when we bring out our trailer mounted meat smoker to put on a smoked Wagyu feast! Campers can purchase our Wagyu and Grassfed Angus beef to try while camping and can even buy some to take home. Activities available at Charleys Creek Campgrounds, Chinchilla: include camping; fishing; kayaking; motorbike riding; bird watching and bush walking. There is accessibility for RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. Pull through bays available. Camping in tents is allowed. It is walking distance to Chinchilla town centre and Lions playground. Farm tours available upon request. Bookings preferable in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you like bush camping you'll love this spot. Creek frontage. Bush camping. Bring everything you need and leave no trace. Ideal place for bird watching or fishing. Very close to town, but you wouldn't know it. Buy wood in advance as an extra when making your camp booking. Rubbish to be taken with you. Leave site clean and tidy. Guests must be full self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed on leash.

Craving your very own exclusive get-away? Riverbank Camping is set on a truly tranquil and private 1,000 acre working beef property 15km East of Chinchilla, just off the Warrego Highway. A hidden gem that you'll want to keep to yourself, Riverbank Camping is nestled amongst the bushland of leafy River Gums with idyllic views of the Condamine River and wildlife right at your doorstep. Unlike many other campsites, Riverbank Camping offers just one site with direct river frontage, meaning you won’t encounter any other guests during your stay. This campground offers stand-up paddle boards to hire (BYO life jackets if needed), an open fire pit and firewood for collecting. Experiences on offer include scenic bush walking, water activities such as fishing and stand-up paddle boarding, bird watching and star gazing. The Condamine River harbours some of the best Murray cod and Yellowbelly fishing in Queensland. This site has plenty of shade for tents and space for caravans and camper trailers to turn around in. There is accessibility for RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. Camping in tents is allowed. - No chainsaws to be used on the property. - Generators permitted. - Pets allowed but need to be on a lead at all times. - We do not have amenities or drinking water, therefore you need to be self-sufficient and bring everything you need with you remembering to remove all waste on your departure. - Once you have turned off the Warrego Highway, the final 5.4km to the campsite is approximately 3.4km gravel and 2km of unsealed dirt road. The site is easily accessible with 2WD vehicles during dry weather ONLY. See road photos of final 2km. - The Condamine River water level is determined on rainfall. Tincurra, once a lambing paddock for the old Wieambilla Homestead continues to be a working farm set on 211 acres. Located in the middle of Kogan, Chinchilla, Tara and Condamine. Set up camp anywhere you wish on our 211 acre property either with the cattle or away from them. For swimming, we have 3 dams to choose from; and a creek which meanders through the back corner of the property; some very heavy wooded areas or more grassy areas. Come to the main house for a coffee, sit down and share a yarn or two around a camp fire. Fishing and yabbying permitted on a catch and release basis. Outdoor movies, or have a game of darts. Bushwalking and birdwatching. Fires are accepted as long as there are no fire bans in our area.
