There is also a great spot to watch the kangaroos coming for a drink and to lay under the trees. The most exciting part is, you could get lucky and see a Koala sitting in a gumtree beside your vehicle. Set on 35 acres on the banks of Charley Creek, it has a beautiful bush land setting adjacent to the creek. A truly tranquil experience.
Recently rebranded the name to Charleys Creek Campgrounds as it is more fitting, as there is no clover, not much of a hill, and not in America (Ranch). This will also tie in with our other entities - Charleys Creek Beef and Charleys Creek Brewing.
We have a number of projects on the go and planned for the Charleys Creek entities to make every stay a unique and authentic experience. "Not just a campgrounds, its the experience". You are welcome to visit us, get to know us, and be part of our journey.
This campground offers toilets, showers, access to potable water, and power hook ups. Open fire pits, and fire wood available. It is a dog friendly property.
The story of Clover Hill Ranch-
In 2019 our livestock enterprise was struggling with the ongoing drought. Water was getting very low and we were buying hay from Victoria.
One day while checking stock on our grazing property Bradys (adjacent to Clover Hill Ranch) we looked across the near dry creek and said to each other - if we are going to endure this drought we need to do something different.
So we were able to acquire Clover Hill Ranch which was then being run by the CMCA under a lease agreement to the then owners. Then Covid struck and the CMCA left Clover Hill Ranch.
So we took it on ourselves and it has been a journey managing our four farming blocks Riverleigh; Coleridge; The Shanti and Bradys as well as Clover Hill Ranch.
Fast forward and it is now April 2021 we absolutely love it;
enjoy chatting with Campers about our story and we have even organised a Farm Tour route through all of our properties. The feedback has been amazing.
We are continuously doing improvements to Clover Hill Ranch with many new Powered Sites with town water and new campsites right on the creek. And everyone loves it when we bring out our trailer mounted meat smoker to put on a smoked Wagyu feast!
Campers can purchase our Wagyu and Grassfed Angus beef to try while camping and can even buy some to take home.
Activities available at Charleys Creek Campgrounds, Chinchilla:

and bush walking.

Bare Camp is a Clothing Optional (nudist preferred) 346 acre property. It is a bush land block of Brigalow, Cypress, Wattle and other natives. There are small waterholes throughout one section of the property during the wetter months, a creek up the back and a dam near the house area.
There is a wide variety of bird life on the property. There are often kangaroos and wallabies to be seen, and be on the look out for the elusive emus.
There are many kilometres of tracks through the property and more to be made. We are a work in progress.
Room for RVs, trailers and tent camping.
We are a totally off-grid property here. There is tank water available, you will need to filter or boil, and an outdoor shower to use. We just ask for quick showers to save water. We have a composting toilet to use if you aren't self sufficient.
We are a small hobby farm. We have pigs, goats, sheep, chicken, ducks turkeys and guinea fowl. You are welcome to help feed them at feeding time.
We have a couple of pet dogs that love to be patted and to be played with. We also have 3 Maremma working dogs. They here to guard and protect us and our livestock. Warning they do bark a lot at strangers. They also bark bit during the early evening. They do this to keep away wild dogs and other predators. We are in the bush and they do exist. We insist that you never pat or try to play with the Maremmas. We keep them pretty close to us when people are here.
We invite all people who love to be naked and want to be reconnect with nature in a natural way. This paradise is our home, any disrespectful behavior and you will be asked to leave.

Set up camp anywhere you wish on our 211 acre property either with the cattle or away from them. For swimming, we have 3 dams to choose from; and a creek which meanders through the back corner of the property; some very heavy wooded areas or more grassy areas.
Come to the main house for a coffee, sit down and share a yarn or two around a camp fire. Fishing and yabbying permitted on a catch and release basis. Outdoor movies, or have a game of darts. Bushwalking and birdwatching.

A lovely spot to stay, spacious, drive through sites. The amenities were very well kept, nice and clean. I enjoyed the morning birdsong, and a walk through the treed area full of birds. The groundsmen do a fabulous job watering keeping the place green.

What a great spot! The powered sites are very big and just what I was looking for, and Caitlin was more than hospitable for us during our stay. They are currently installing a small toilet/shower block which will enhance this place even more. Definitely recommend staying here if you can, the friendly dogs were also an added bonus!

251109 - Being fully self-contained we chose a 'non-powered site' adjacent to the creek located away from all the powered sites to which there appeared to be plenty. Privacy is guaranteed with very easy level access for large rigs (we have a 24foot van plus a LC200) and we still had heaps of room to spare. Whilst we could only 'just' see our neighbours through all the trees of this well maintained property, in the far distance, we could not hear a thing.
There are some amazing and very clean amenities. Great showers, toilets and laundry with a great family owned and operated private distillery on the property up at big shed that also accommodates saturday night entertainment and a cookout, worth the visit.
Located not far from the centre of the Chinchilla township that is fully serviced with all the essential 'go to's for grocery, hardware, pubs etc etc you would not be short of finding what you are looking for.
Don't forget to visit the Large Watermellon' slice so you can take your photo. It's a must do.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Rubern Lagoons. The facilities were great and it had a nice vibe. The NRL grand final was on that night so many of the other campers enjoyed watching it in the communal kitchen/dining area. Check-in was easy and it was simple to hook into the power and water.
