KUR-Cow Farm was once known as Barnwell Farm. Coffee was extensively grown throughout the Kuranda/Myola region in the early 1890's until frosts wiped out large numbers crops in the early 1900's. Robert William Warren purchased portions of the land at Barnwell in the 1890s and established a coffee plantation on the property which was named "Downtown Farm." Dairy cattle were bought to Barnwell by William Henry Barnwell in 1936 and by 1939 he had managed to successfully establish for a dairy farmer and was advertising for a dairy hand with remuneration of 25 shillings per week and keep. Dairy cattle remained on the property until some point following World War II. It has been said that William Henry Barnwell was one of the earliest cattle farmers in the Myola and Kuranda areas to carry Droughtmaster cattle. He was well regarded as a 'cattle man' in the Myola area. Opening to public in August 2018, Barnwell Farm now welcome visitors daily from all over the world. Offering its guests an interactive, Australia cattle experience with a little adventure thrown in also and exquisite cuisine. Our accommodation consist of 2 cabins sleep 2 adult and 2 children, the room is not interconnect but fence with our private court yard for dinning. Price include Petting Zoo entry for 2 adult and 2 children. Guided Horse riding and ATV tour is available daily and minimum age is 4 years old for horse riding and 6 years old for ATV. Lunch is available on Saturday and Sunday. Sunset Wagyu BBQ offer daily.

We had a lovely time at Andre and Kims. Such an easy trip with the fully stocked camp kitchen, hot shower and cosy cabin. Lots of little thoughtful touches from the hosts including candles, towels, fresh herbs and a pumpkin which we roasted in the fire. To top it off, we were treated to an epic display of fireflies in the evening! And a beautiful waterful just a few minutes down the road. Highly recommend for a restful weekend trip, we will be back 😊

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible camping spot nestled by a crystal-clear creek, surrounded by lush rainforest. This place is nothing short of magical. The gentle sound of the creek flowing provided the perfect natural soundtrack, creating an atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The campsite itself was well-maintained, with enough flat, shaded areas to pitch a tent comfortably. Jodie really is living her best life ! Words can't describe how beautiful and calming her land is , we stayed at FNQ Blooms and never wanted to leave ! You can see how proud she is of the land by the way she maintains & preserves it. If you're travelling with dogs, Jodie does have two beautiful dogs but they're very friendly and your dogs will be welcomed. She has her very own private waterfall and the hike to it isn't that strenuous. We will definitely be saving this location for next time. Thank you Jodie 😊.

Cannot recommend enough! Absolutely breathtaking views, friendly horses and cows free roaming, conveniently close to Kuranda Village and close to waterfalls and creeks for swims. They also had horse riding and Quad Biking/ ATV tours available to book. Will have to come back to do both!

We absolutely loved our beautiful camp amongst the heleconia & ginger flowers alongside the refreshingly cool crystal clear mountain stream. Our host Jodie was extremely welcoming & friendly and invited us to watch her pollinating the vanilla flowers, as well as giving us great info on the production of vanilla. Luckily for us, we were even able to purchase some pure organic vanilla essence whilst we were there...such an immersive & relaxing experience ❤️. The property is a tropical fruit farm, zoned 'rural' and is nestled amongst other banana farms and small acreages. The property has mountain, rainforest and farm views. We live on a country road. It is very peaceful and quiet at night. Great for star gazing, as there is low light pollution. You can walk to the beach in around 10-15 minutes. Shops are a little further and include post office, tourist information, restaurants and cafes, clothing, massage, Lennie's fruit shop and a small supermarket. You can purchase take away alcohol from The Tavern in the main shopping area. Woolworth supermarket, chemist, banks and bottles-shops are in Wongaling, about 10 a minute drive.
