My partner and I had a fantastic time at Glens property. It was very hot but the creek had the perfect temperature for a cooldown. The best about our stay: No phone reception!! (At least not with Optus haha) Glen was incredibly kind and came down a couple of times as storms approached to let us know. We will be back, for sure!!

To be honest nothing stood out at 'Aloomba Homestead' Hipcamp, because it was simply amazingly magical all 'round, our type of Hipcamp. Mother Nature at her best, the birdlife was incredible, a very peaceful and calming location on the Mulgrave River within close proximity to Deeral boat ramp, where we launched our tinny and also topped up with water for our van. As for the hosts Margie & Richard, what a terrific down to earth couple, our kinda people, very genuine and open to a good old chin-wag. We hope they travel down our way to Cape Bridgewater in Victoria one day, so we can return their kindness. Top spot for our 10 day stay. 👌

Would definitely be coming back! With plenty of area space and privacy, even if you go with friends you won’t feel crowded. Plenty of activities to do throughout the days such as waterfalls, creeks and the hot springs only minutes away. Not to mention, the beautiful sunset you witness each afternoon. The hosts were very hospitable and willing to help when needed. Sink at site to make washing dishes easier, and lovely little shack with plenty of space if needed.

We especially liked the cows wandering past our site in the late afternoon – they made for very welcome company. The campsites are well spaced apart, so it felt private and peaceful (we really saw or heard other campers). Everything was very well maintained and the host was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this fantastic spot! The site was clear, well maintained and exactly as described. Beautiful tall trees, mountain views in the distance and a great fire pit with loads of quality wood (easily found around and even some prepared ready to go when we arrived). The running water/sink setup was handy, the shady table area was perfect for sunsets and puzzle time, and there was plenty of space for the kids to ride their bikes. The creek just 5 minutes drive away was perfect for swimming, and Ravenshoe is a charming little town to visit. Couldn’t ask for more — highly recommend!

Plenty of fantastic swimming holes nearby including Josephine falls and Babinda boulders very popular spots for tourist and the locals. The creek runs around the outside so there are a number of viewing points to see the wildlife mentioned above. A set of solar lights hang over the firepit area allowing for more light while cooking on our wonderful swinging hotplate BBQ. Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night. Swimming in the creek is not recommended. 20 acres secluded in the rolling hills of the Atherton Tablelands on the top of the Gillies. A farm stay awaits with access to shower and toilet facilities this newly opened powered camping property is the perfect place to base yourself while you enjoy the local tourist attractions. We require 24 hours notice for camping- but send a message I’m sure we can fit you in Tours of the farm are available on request including hand feeding cows and collecting coloured eggs from our chickens. While pets are welcome we ask they are restrained at all times. We allow pets at the site for $10 per pet/per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add the Pet Fee which is listed as an Extra during the booking process. Note on entrance road a few campers with vans have asked- I am not a caravanner so I’m not sure what’s important to you - It is public road to our gate - the last 400m or so is gravel. - eastern connection road is single lane bitumen. - The large school bus terminates at the intersection of Adams and eastern connection. - we have had several large vans stay with us and they have not had any issues with access

Thank you who camped this year. We have « closed » our area from mid January to April. If you wish to camp during that time message us on Hipcamp, and we will endeavour to see if it is possible. Please note, our rates are per vehicle per night ( if you have an additional vehicle, just book an additional site or additional nights. This assists in avoiding overcrowding) There is NO access to our property from Kuranda end! Visitors need to go through Mareeba A beautiful 160 acre paddock that you can enjoy. Cleared slashed areas beside the river. Enjoy a river swim to cool you down during summer and go for a cold dip during winter. River is also good for fishing during the right season. Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track. Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is very limited mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude} Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway. Sites are private separated from each other, some sites suit clothing optional guests Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough. There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs. Water can be supplied upon request. Power generators are permitted . There may be minimal mobile service with Telstra. Campfire will only be permitted within fire pit. All campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace behind. Checkout is generally when you feel like it. Dog friendly. Site may be closed in the wet season from December to April, once monsoonal events occur

Site 2 Our newer spot work in progress not so ideal for camper trailers. your situated under our tree line away from the main creek. A smaller paver firepit, plenty fine for sitting around an open fire while watching the stars at night. Swimming in the creek is not recommended. So please check by internal message before confirming your booking that way we can confirm a spot while discussing your needs to ensure you have a clear view of your camping area. Onsite we have our shared outhouse porta toilet which is positioned in the middle of both camping areas for everyone's convenience.
