Hillier Hideaway is a beautiful 5-acre property located 2 minutes from Coolalinga Central. With 4 well shaded, spacious sites this is the perfect place to pull up and explore Darwin and its surrounds. Sites are not visible from the road and there are no dirt bike tracks or open land adjoining the property, making this a very secluded and safe site. We can accommodate vans up to 24 feet and have 1 dedicated site for either a camper trailer or tent. All sites have no power or water, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. There is however a single shower and toilet for use if needed. There is a dump point at the Caravan Park across from Coolalinga Central that can be used for a small fee. All sites are well maintained with plenty of shade, please note during the dry season the grassed area will die off. There will be areas allocated for small campfires and guests must follow fire bans as the restrictions come up. There are wild peacocks that come in at dawn and dusk to get their daily feed, guests are welcome to come watch, Burdekin ducks and possums at night. Pets are allowed however dogs must remain on a lead as there is allot of wildlife that call the property home.

We are a small boutique site and only have 5 powered sites and 8 non powered sites on the 5 acres. Your site is private and you will be able to enjoy your stay without interference from others. The property has a secured gate that requires fob access and a security entrance camera. IMPORTANT: Each site can accommodate 2 adults MAX. If you have 3 or 4 adults, you will need to book two sites. Please note The Bounganvillea site is open all year round and has a concrete base. Other sites are dependant on weather and access.

This was a great stay..it was by chance we found it advertising for a space to fix our car.. Jennifer could not have done enough for us arranging our stay..we ran into some trouble needing a lift to get parts and Lochy was a great help driving us around to where we needed to go… things you need to know - it is peaceful and away from traffic noise.. there are chooks that say hello each day… the pool was loverly and refreshing and the bathroom was clean and good.. it is a bush setting and although I get eaten by midges and mossies.. I lite the coils early and never had an issue… please clean up after yourselves after you use the bathroom… it is not the hosts job to clean up after every use … thank you Jennifer and Lochy we loved staying at Strangys 🌻

We had a great time at Two Rivers! Dan was very accommodating, and full of tips on what to do in the area. Berry Springs is <10 minutes away. The site itself was well tended to, and the kids enjoyed interacting with the chicken. A dump point, book swap and washing machine were added bonuses!

Highly recommend the Flower Farm! We stayed for 3 nights in our 22.6ft off-grid caravan (9.2m total length). We are a family with 3 young kids and the Flower Farm was GREAT! There is plenty of shade to escape the Darwin heat, located in beautiful quiet area with local shops only 5mins away, amazing amounts of space and grass PLUS water and power hook up 🙌 We went on the Spectacular Jumping Crocodile Adelaide River Cruise (highly recommend too) and the Flower Farm was centrally located between that and the city which made exploring Darwin a breeze. Debbie was a great host! Thank you for having us, will definitely rebook when we are in Darwin again!

This is an excellent Hipcamp to make home while you explore the surrounding areas. Having both potable water and power available means you still have some of the luxury and essentials normally only found in a Caravan Park. As the name implies, this Hipcamp is set in a location with an abundance of various fruit trees. We spent a glorious week here and a bonus, as the name implies, a fruity treat was left at our door on 4 occasions. Bananas, Pawpaw, Star Apple and other fruit with a name I can't recall. David's father who also lives onsite is a delight to chat with and always happy to share his knowledge. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to other travellers seeking an affordable, and quiet camp site.

We thought Jets Stable was a great spot, being undercover, having a concrete pad and power and water suited our needs. The pool was lovely, and the property was nice and quiet. We did however have an issue with sandflies while we were there. Obviously this can't be helped and is unfortunate.

We loved our stay here and we will definitely be back if we are in the area again! Owners are lovely and accomodating. We have two kids who also enjoyed themselves with the smaller camp ground feel which meant they could run around without the dangers of a busy park. 10/10

4 nights at The Flower Farm

The flower farm with Debbie was perfect for a few nights for us to be away from the dirt and have some serenity. Our 2 dogs loved the grass and the space. On the hot days, a beautiful breeze came through into our campsite. Debbie was very hospitable and couldn't help us enough! Thankyou so much!
