Tucked away on a quiet 25-acre block, our private campground is the perfect base to explore the Top End. Set up your fully self-contained vehicle on a powered or unpowered site, enjoy fresh pump-driven water (with plenty of pressure), a washing machine, dump point, and plenty of space to relax. We’re "friendly dog" friendly—and family friendly too (no extra charge for kids!). Take a stroll around the block, visit the veggie patch, feed the chickens, wander through native bushland to spot magnetic termite mounds and local flora and fauna, or just kick back under the stars. With land-based fishing and crabbing spots a short walk across the road or boat ramp 2 mins away, try your hand at some fishing! Within 10 minutes, you’ll find everything you need: local IGA, hardware store, cafe, tavern, post office, pharmacy, medical centre and hair dresser. Cool off with a swim or picnic at Berry Springs (6 mins), spot wildlife at The Territory Wildlife Park (5 mins), day trip to Litchfield (30 mins) or Kakadu (90 mins). Darwin city is just a 40-minute drive. The hosts are happy to share local tips to help you make the most of your NT adventure.

Conveniently located, we're a 30 minute drive from Darwin CBD , 15 minutes from two major shopping centres, 1 hour from Litchfield National Park , 1.5 hours from Kakadu National Park, 20 minutes from the public dump point, and only 5 minutes from the local IGA and post office, the family friendly Howard Springs Nature Reserve, and excellent pine forest mountain bike trails.
We have only two sites, to give you excellent privacy and space. The sites are level and grassed, with dedicated water and power access. You are welcome to share our refreshing plunge pool.
Wander the yard to enjoy the gardens or spot small lizards and frogs. We have fantastic recycling and compost facilities, in a small effort to reduce our collective impact on the environment.
Kids will love having plenty of space to run, ride and explore. There is a kids cubby and mud kitchen, sandpit, swings and a climbing frame (all to be used at your own risk).
You will need to be fully self-contained with your own camping toilet/shower.
We are in a rural residential area, located at the end of a very quiet court, and while it's rare, you may hear normal neighbourhood noises from time to time.
Pets may be accepted (please enquire before booking), and pet minding may be available so that you can get away to enjoy the Territory's beautiful national parks and swimming holes.

Hillier Hideaway is a beautiful 5-acre property located 2 minutes from Coolalinga Central.
With 4 well shaded, spacious sites this is the perfect place to pull up and explore Darwin and its surrounds. Sites are not visible from the road and there are no dirt bike tracks or open land adjoining the property, making this a very secluded and safe site.
We can accommodate vans up to 24 feet and have 1 dedicated site for either a camper trailer or tent.
All sites have no power or water, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. There is however a single shower and toilet for use if needed. There is a dump point at the Caravan Park across from Coolalinga Central that can be used for a small fee.
All sites are well maintained with plenty of shade, please note during the dry season the grassed area will die off.
There will be areas allocated for small campfires and guests must follow fire bans as the restrictions come up.
There are wild peacocks that come in at dawn and dusk to get their daily feed, guests are welcome to come watch, Burdekin ducks and possums at night.
Pets are allowed however dogs must remain on a lead as there is allot of wildlife that call the property home.

You'll spot native birds flitting through the trees, a resident frill-necked lizard basking in the sun (although he is a bit shy), and be greeted by three friendly dogs who’ll likely claim you as their own. We also share our space with two gentle horses (always keen for a pat and a carrot or two), and a ginger cat who rules the indoors.
We’re a young couple who’ve called the NT home since 2009, living a laid-back lifestyle and always happy to swap stories over a cold drink as the sun goes down.
During your stay, you’ll have full access to power, water, our refreshing pool with spa jets, and laundry facilities. Mobile reception is excellent, and if you need WiFi, just ask—we’ve got you covered.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Fiona and Rodney are genuinely lovely people who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They’re incredibly accommodating and full of helpful local knowledge.
Their beautiful pets quickly became part of the experience, and it didn’t take long for us to become best mates with them! Fiona also went out of her way to make the stay special for the kids, taking them to feed the horses and helping them walk them—something they absolutely loved.
It’s a beautiful, welcoming Hipcamp run by wonderful people, and we’d happily stay here again. Thanks so much, Fiona and Rodney, for making our stay such a memorable one!

We LOVED our stay at the Coconut Grove site. Easy drive into Darwin. Very private, large grassed site, power and water available right at site. Booked for one night but ended up staying five. Debbie a fabulous host. Couldn't recommend this Hipcamp highly enough.

We booked at short notice. Debbie was so accommodating. Instructions were great. Our 16ft van was no problem. A lovely grassed site, partly shaded. Plenty of space and very private. Power is included which meant we could park the van in shade and not worry about having enough solar. Starlink works perfectly. Debbie didn't even mind us washing our car and van - a huge bonus after travelling 16,000 km with only one wash in between.
Would HIGHLY recommend The Flower Farm.

The Flower Farm is a lovely site in Humpty Doo. We stayed in Breezeway East with a 21ft van and had plenty of room and shade all day. Good water pressure and no issues with power supply.
Debbie is a lovely and obliging host, ever willing to assist but not intrusive in your serenity. The site is close to shops in Humpty Doo and Coolalinga, and a short ride to Palmerston and Darwin CBD.
The only small drawback is that the site has no dump point, and neither does Humpty Doo township. You are reliant on the goodwill of Coolalinga Caravan Park about 5kms away for a dump point that cost $7 per cassette at review date (August 26). That is fine, but if that service is removed you would need to travel approx 20km to Winnellie for the nearest other public DP.
I would recommend Hipcamp sites in this region put pressure on Litchfield Council to provide a site in Humpty Doo, or do a deal with CMCA to use their DPs in their camp at Humpty Doo for a fee to get longer term security.
All in all a lovely spot and would rate 4.75/5.00

Great spot - felt very tranquil and no safety concerns. Debbie is a wonderful host - nothing is too much bother! Ideal spot for exploring nearby Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks as well as exploring the Darwin region. No problems leaving our caravan there overnight when we went on an overnight trip to Kakadu. Highly recommend!

We had a ripper 4 nights here, only planned 2 but added another couple nights once we got there. Great sites with plenty of space, but a cosy campsite with a great community vibe. Dan and Mel gave us heaps of tips and places to check out, and they went well over and above to make sure we got the most out of Bitter Springs!
