You'll feel like you're a whole world away yet you will only be 2 minutes from the supermarket, 5 minutes from a large shopping centre, and 15 minutes from Darwin's CBD. We are a small boutique site and only have currently 3 sites on the 5 acres. Your site is private and you will be able to enjoy your stay without interference from others. IMPORTANT: Each site can accommodate 2 adults MAX. If you have 3 or 4 adults, you will need to book both sites. Please note Pool site is open all year round and has permanent cover. I wish we could have stayed longer. Pete was an amazing host and the property was really nice and not too far from Darwin. The bathroom and shower were beyond all expectations and I don't have a single complaint. If I'm ever in Darwin again, I know where I'll be staying!

Beautiful campsite and Peter was a great host. A lot of time, love and effort has gone into creating a small nature haven in the suburbs of Darwin, with lots of native trees and the wildlife that they attract. Peter was very friendly and gave us lots of advice on what to do, where to eat and drink etc. I'd highly recommend staying here if looking to camp in the Darwin area

Yes I would recommend Middle Camp. Lovely spot with great Amenity and water pressure. Especially loved the outdoor private shower. Perhaps our timing could have been earlier in the season as it was very hot and a lot of March flies. But all said it’s a lovely area.

Excellent host and a beautiful place. Highly recommend. Nice little pool clean bathrooms great location. We were very happy with our stay definitely recommend if you want to feel like you’re in a remote place but still close to all the local amenities. 10 mins to the beach.

Great large grassed spot to park up for few days! We based ourselves here for our Darwin adventure for 5 days and was great. Power, water, bins, and gated. Kids loved having access to the pool and cubby and playing with the hosts kids. Hosts very friendly and happy to help us with all our questions about attractions & things to do.

When to go

For the most comfortable conditions, visit during the dry season, which runs from May to October and promises relatively cooler temperatures. This is peak season for the Top End, however, so opt for the shoulder month of April to avoid the crowds. If you visit during the wet season from November through April, you’ll see the waterfalls of Litchfield at their best but roads and entire areas may be closed due to flooding.

Know before you go

When traveling in the Top End pay close attention to crocodile warning signs.
Be sure to wear protective clothing and bring insect repellent and plenty of water.
Campers should take note of fire bans and be sure to use the pits provided for campfires.
Pets are not permitted in national parks.
Don’t worry if you forgot something, Darwin is home to a number of camping and outdoor supply stores.
