Welcome to our wonderful property, where you can bask in the beauty of a Mango tree that offers delicious fruit to be picked and savored when it ripens around October.
Our location is perfectly situated, only 5 kilometers away from the Darwin River Tavern and a supermarket, making it convenient for your needs. Within a 5 to 10-minute drive, you'll find the enchanting Berry Springs, along with shops and a tavern. Immerse yourself in the refreshing swimming holes, visit the wildlife park, go on exciting barramundi adventures, and enjoy fishing at the nearby park—all easily accessible from our property.
If you wish to explore further, it's just a 45-minute drive to Darwin city or a 25-minute drive to Palmerston. For those seeking natural wonders, you can venture to the stunning waterfalls of Litchfield National Park or the popular Dundee beach, each just under an hour's drive away.
At our campsite, you can enjoy the warmth and coziness of campfires in the designated area, though only permitted outside fire danger periods to ensure everyone's safety. And yes, your furry friends are more than welcome to join you on your outdoor adventure. Just remember to bring your own toilet paper for added comfort during your stay.

Hillier Hideaway is a beautiful 5-acre property located 2 minutes from Coolalinga Central.
With 4 well shaded, spacious sites this is the perfect place to pull up and explore Darwin and its surrounds. Sites are not visible from the road and there are no dirt bike tracks or open land adjoining the property, making this a very secluded and safe site.
We can accommodate vans up to 24 feet and have 1 dedicated site for either a camper trailer or tent.
All sites have no power or water, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. There is however a single shower and toilet for use if needed. There is a dump point at the Caravan Park across from Coolalinga Central that can be used for a small fee.
All sites are well maintained with plenty of shade, please note during the dry season the grassed area will die off.
There will be areas allocated for small campfires and guests must follow fire bans as the restrictions come up.
There are wild peacocks that come in at dawn and dusk to get their daily feed, guests are welcome to come watch, Burdekin ducks and possums at night.
Pets are allowed however dogs must remain on a lead as there is allot of wildlife that call the property home.

We had a warm welcome on arrival. The sites are well shaded from the NT sun, plenty of space and very tranquil setting. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. They have good knowledge of the area and gave us great ideas and places to see to fill in our days. We received clear instructions and prompt responses. They are the best we have come across in our travels around Australia.

The best place we have stayed at on this trip around Northern Territory. The hosts were brilliant they couldn’t do enough for us. They made us feel like Family. Great facilities and they had plenty of knowledge about what to see in Darwin. Highly recommend this place to stay if you are travelling to Darwin.

We were 3 families from 3 states, a place to meet up. Camping between the mango trees was shady with toilet facilities as well.

We stayed 2 months in total at Mambo Top End and honestly we couldn’t have wished for nicer hosts.
Gerhard and Hannalie are such kind, friendly people who willingly shared their place with us.
We were very sad to leave and could easily have just stayed on.

We had an excellent time staying here. It’s so lovely camping under the mango trees and with only 4 spots for fellow campers it feels very secluded.
The hosts were really nice and made sure our trip to Darwin was as nice as could be.
As we were in a rooftop tent there were some early morning bird sounds that could make you stir if sleeping lightly but that’s roof top tent life and no blame to the hosts.

we loved our one night stay amongst the Mango Trees, it meant for a shady morning and afternoon which was fantastic. both Gerhard and Hanlie were welcoming and friendly (as were their 3 little dogs!), even let us have a swim in their pool. soft green grass, water available and clean toilets all close to town, would definitely recommend this stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mambo Top End! Such a beautiful, peaceful spot amongst the mango trees. Lovely green grass, spacious and private sites with power and water. Great location and the perfect base to explore Litchfield NP, Berry Springs with 2 shopping centres just 15 minutes away and the city just a 30 minute drive. Gerhard and Hanlie were the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. This was our favourite stay in the top end. Thank you for having us!

This camping spot is an absolute gem! Very private and quiet, a lovely place amongst vegetation. The outdoor shower and toilet are simple but totally adequate. Electricity and shade provided. Jeff is a friendly guy with lots of local knowledge. This was our favourite camping during our two week NT travel. Highly recommend!

This was a beautiful spot to stay. A little oasis of greenery, with a lovely shade campsite and grass to pitch our tent on. There was a great bathroom set up with toilet and shower which was very clean and well kept.
Andrew and Michelle were amazing hosts. They checked in on us daily and were more than happy to help or answer questions. They even provided our 2yo with toys to entertain her at camp!
The peacocks were a real hit with our little one, she is still talking about them 2 weeks later!
I highly recommend this stay.

Fantastic private getaway close to boat ramp and tavern. Owners are local and did everything to make you feel welcome. Huge Tv on side of shed under patio along with table and chair with fans. Would definitely come back if up this way again.

We had a great stay in between the Mango trees at Gerhard's farm! Some of the most lush grass we have camped on all over Australia, let alone up here in the NT. Gerhard was super accommodating and communicated very clearly before and throughout our stay. The facilities were clean and we were grateful to have access to water and power at such a reasonable price. We would come back here in a heartbeat!
