For most of the year it is open for swimming. There are also several other smaller water holes nearby. Most water attractions are accessible by car. While sightseeing, make sure you visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, The War Museum and Aviation Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are some good fishing and biking trails. We are located on a 5-acre block in the Northern Suburbs. The top 2 acres are laid out in a tropical garden setting, with the other 3 acres set out with native Darwin plants visited by lots of native animals and birds. We have a variety of native birds on the property and are close by to local bird watch areas. You'll feel like you're a whole world away yet you will only be 2 minutes from the supermarket, 5 minutes from a large shopping centre, and 15 minutes from Darwin's CBD. We are a small boutique site and only have 5 powered sites and 8 non powered sites on the 5 acres. Your site is private and you will be able to enjoy your stay without interference from others. The property has a secured gate that requires fob access and a security entrance camera. IMPORTANT: Each site can accommodate 2 adults MAX. If you have 3 or 4 adults, you will need to book two sites. Please note The Bounganvillea site is open all year round and has a concrete base. Other sites are dependant on weather and access.

Perfect location to view all the sites within the park, easy check in and massive sites so definitely not on top of each other, we stayed for 3 days and would stay again if we were to visit Litchfield

Great spot, very spacious and really close to the best spots of Litchfield National Park. It has very clean and maintained toilets, but no power, water or rubbish bins, so you just need to be aware of that.

Greeted by Jordan who was warm and hospitable. Large sights with heaps of space. One toilet is available and you can expect some generator noise when the sun goes down. Best value for money in Litchfield

Excellent spot to stop a few days. Only 30 mins or so to Darwin. Quiet spot to rest a few days. Host Debbie is extremely friendly and accommodating. would recommend to any fully self contained caravaners!!!

Wonderful hip camp located literally across the road from Litchfield National Park. Close to all of Litchfield's attractions including Wangi for an afternoon swim. Excellent hosts, lots of space, true drive through sites. Hosts attitudes are Excellent in their philosophy and if the national parks are booked out, this is a wonderful alternative.

We had a ripper 4 nights here, only planned 2 but added another couple nights once we got there. Great sites with plenty of space, but a cosy campsite with a great community vibe. Dan and Mel gave us heaps of tips and places to check out, and they went well over and above to make sure we got the most out of Bitter Springs! River just down the road, with plenty of Barra swimming around. We will be back again to jag a Barra!
