Located on a sealed road, on 220 acres of land, approximately 5-6 minutes to Sutton or Gundaroo, 10 minutes to Gunghalin and 20 minutes into Canberra. The site is very quiet and private. Sutton village (5 kms away) has a toilet block and shower amenities available. A beautiful quiet location to stay. Close to a lot of amenities, such as Bakery, Wineries, Gundaroo, Mulligan's Flat Reserve and Gunghalin shops. Sutton has a world class bakery, we recommend chicken and leek or pepper steak pies. Gundaroo has an old world pub with local wines and food. The old police station at Gundaroo has been converted to a gourmet pizza restaurant, there is also an excellent restaurant named Grazing. There is also Eagle Hawke pub, which is very popular. There are numerous wineries nearby including Gundog at Gundaroo and all of the many Murrumbateman wineries. Water refill and waste disposal is available at Queanbeyan showground. The Mulligans Flat Reserve, about 10 minutes away, is a real first in Australia, given that a very large area has been set aside near Canberra to foster wildlife. Very nice, open, private campsite. Sheltered area available to hang out down by the creek. Easy to get to following the directions provided. It was very windy on day two, so Martina allowed us to move to the larger campsite, which is more sheltered. It is a great site, with plenty of room for multiple campers. The shelter/kitchen area is fantastic, and it has a beautiful view down over the property. Martina is a great host, who went the extra mile for us to make our stay great. Would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend this property for your next camping adventure.

Was good stop over for a few nights, decided to leave early to make it to Melbourne quicker. Really private, fairly flat and peaceful. There was a white car that flew down the driveway a few times, so we had to make sure our children stayed away from that area.

This camp was a nice surprise. Countless spots to choose from among a naturally pretty scattered woodland and bush block with two inviting dams and lots of kangaroos, wallabies and birdlife. Easy to find and close to the lovely little town of Tarago (great pub and Cafe).

This is our second stay at Peppermint Gum campground. We loved having such a large area all to ourselves, on such a beautiful property. The set-up makes for very easy camping with kids and groups; the shelter and picnic table, the established campfire and composting toilet. We enjoyed going for walks through the bush and to the creek; looking for wombat burrows, seeing blue-tongue lizards, spotting lots of birds and hearing lots of frogs!

We recently stayed at a truly special spot, after a last minute decision to stop on our way home from a long holiday. one of those rare places that feels like a secret worth sharing. Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, we camped in our done up ute on a quiet farm surrounded by rolling paddocks, grazing cows, curious sheep, and gentle horses. It was the kind of peaceful setting that instantly makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. With abit of a mix up on my end, the owners were warm, friendly, and communicated everything clearly, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable. You can tell they genuinely care about the land and the people who come to enjoy it. As the sun began to set, we watched the sky light up in soft oranges and pinks, casting a golden glow over the animals and the hills. It was quiet. just the sounds of nature and the occasional rustle of the breeze. under the stars, we felt completely at peace. It was the perfect farewell as we headed home from our holiday. This place is ideal for anyone who loves the outdoors, wants to disconnect from the noise, and reconnect with the simple beauty of the natural world. Whether you're a seasoned camper or just looking for a unique overnight stop, I can’t recommend it enough. We’ll definitely be back in the future and next time, we’ll stay a little longer.

We booked both sites last minute for the long weekend, so we had the place totally to ourselves. We were tent camping with dogs. There were heaps of sites to choose from, but we ended up setting up on some flat ground by the larger dam so the dogs could swim. It was great to have a site where we could let them off the leash to run around, they had an absolute blast! The site was super peaceful and had wonderful views, and there was a great mix of open, grassy sites, shady spots and more "bush" camping sites. The dam was also a great location for our new hobby of bird watching! The place was really easy to find and the instructions were clear and well communicated. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

Just spent 6 days in paradise. There was a small problem when we arrived but Brooke went above and beyond what was expected which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Beautiful scenery and some amazing hiking through the hills. Lots of sheep, cows, horses, kangaroos and even a tortoise and platypus in the creek. Can’t wait to go back and would recommend it highly.

Lovely spot. It was a bit different for us not being able to camp "at the camp". We usually all huddle together in a circle with fire and kitchen in the middle, but here the fire and camp kitchen are blocked off and we were all spread out and everyone had to walk back and forth from our campers to the fire / kitchen. It would be ideal if we could camp right near the camp kitchen. It was peaceful and we got snow! The abundance of fire wood was excellent too. Lovely spot.

Great place to stay. Had the place to myself. So many perfect camping spots on the property. The trees and landscape was very pretty with lots of birds and wildlife. Great place for dogs as long as they don’t chase after Kangaroos. Close to pubs, cafes and shops too.

The Snow Gums campsite is surrounded by amazing scenery. The host, Marty, provided plenty of firewood to help keep warm during the cool evenings. It was great to chat to her and hear of the efforts to regenerate the land to its natural state. There was plenty of wildlife to be seen, with kangaroos, wallabies and deer to name a few. The weather was not the best during my stay, so it would be great to visit this site again on a sunny weekend.
