The property is a safe haven for an abundance of wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, bandicoots, possums, squirrel gliders, snakes, leaf-tailed geckoes, 12 species of frogs and a multitude of birds.
Communal facilities include a covered outdoor camp kitchen, an amenities block with composting toilet and hot showers, and a fire circle/ seating area.
Activities on the property include:
- birdwatching (see if you can add to our list of 50+ species so far!)
- spotlighting for nocturnal wildlife
- find a quiet spot to sit and soak up the peace of nature... perhaps by the tranquil wetland overflow wall
- bushwalking around the perimeter of the endangered Swamp Sclerophyll Forest
- private orienteering course (bring your compass! Takes 1-2 hours)
-Light a fire under the cast-iron outdoor bath and soak away any stress
Attractions close to the property include:
- beautiful beaches only 2 km away, great for swimming, surfing or whale watching from the headland
- State Forest 2km away, great for hiking and mountain biking
- Woolgoolga 5km away, with great cafes and shops

Welcome to the Blue Lagoon, our very own piece of paradise, we cannot wait to share with you. Situated on over 100 acres in Upper Orara, just 20 minutes west of Coffs Harbour. The beauty of this place is that it's a private campsite, this stunning waterhole is all yours to enjoy, with only one booking taken at a time.
(Note: The booking is for 2 people for the entire site- then a small extra charge for additional guests)
This magical waterhole has crystal clear spring-fed water, where you’ll be able to enjoy spotting fish, turtles, and a platypus along with stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, bushwalking, and simply relaxing.
IMPORTANT: The camp is for self-contained campers only. You MUST have your own toilet, water and take all waste with you when you go. This is non-negotiable. The nearest dump point is in Coffs Harbour.
PLEASE NOTE: The property lies on river frontage and is subject to flooding in heavy rain. Please check in with us 3 days prior to arrival to confirm conditions. In the case of flooding, a full refund will be issued, or an alternate campsite on higher ground may be available.
The photos display pristine blue waters, which is what is so magical about this place. However after heavy rain, the water colour can change in appearance.
Campfires are permitted in the designated fire ring, when local restrictions are not in place.
FIREWOOD is available to purchase.
BBQ LAMB packages are also available to purchase.

We really enjoyed how welcoming and clear Tranquil Tents was, with beautiful grounds, fluffy chickens, and the Sacred Tree. One of the best nights sleep ever looking up at the stars. Highly recommend for easy tranquil camping ❤️

We finally returned to "Heaven on Earth" this weekend just gone and once again it did not disappoint! The Blue Lagoon is simply "Magical" and it was a great place to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary in style. Having the place to ourselves and indulging in a beautiful night-time hot bath in the new stone tub overlooking the magical lagoon is something to remember. Laura & Dougie are fabulous hosts and also very accommodating. We can't thank them enough for sharing this wonderful piece of heaven with us once again. Can't wait for our next trip back to The Blue Lagoon!!
