2 nights at The Branch River Retreat

We had such a nice stay. We were the only campers there for our two nights which made it feel more private. The location is just stunning right on the river! Deborah was an amazing host and was so accomodating and friendly for our whole stay. She even dropped off a bag of homegrown mandarins and avocados to us from her friends property! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a little relaxing getaway.

I loved camping here with my family. My partner & I camp a lot, it was the first time taking the family, they enjoyed it so much. We had so much privacy, we had a beautiful quiet peaceful time with waking up to the cows every morning, the river, horses it was beautiful. Bathroom was clean, showers were big and great. Overall, such a beautiful long weekend. Thanks to the host helping us as well, and waiting up for us to arrive late the Friday night.

Recommend!! Spent 3 nights at Fame Mountain and had an amazing time. I expected a big spot, but I was impressed with the size of it. Amenities were great, and our hosts were super attentive to our needs. We had the best sunset view on arrival, and got beautiful skies at night. If camping on tents, I recommend keeping an eye on the forecast for strong winds. There was plenty of wood to chop too. Mei and Jon, thank you for sharing a bit of your beautiful place with us!

Lovely little site down by the river! We loved the dock, especially our dog who enjoyed a dip both days we were there. Toilets are clean with plenty of toilet paper. Deb was an awesome host - so very kind and more importantly, funny 😋 Had camp neighbours a bit down the road and below us but was far away enough that we couldn’t hear them or be disturbed. Will definitely be back in summer when it’s a bit drier and warmer!

We had a fantastic weekend camping at *Cranky Rock*! The campsites are spacious and thoughtfully laid out, giving you plenty of room and privacy from other campers. The toilets were clean and conveniently located throughout the property. While the shower wasn’t accessible during our stay, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the grounds. We loved the friendly cows and their calves, and even spotted a sleepy wombat. Another big plus is the location — only 10 minutes from Wollombi Tavern, which is perfect for an arvo beer or a meal out. A special thank you to Pam and Lindsay, who were both incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greeted us on arrival and kindly guided us to our site, making everything easy and stress-free. Would absolutely recommend Cranky Rock to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-kept camping spot. Thanks again for a lovely weekend!

Nestled within the picturesque Karuah River catchment area, Fernbrook is a working poultry and cattle farm, set over eight peaceful acres, and just five km away from the historic Stroud township. Middle Creek Camp

The property is located in Westbrook just 15km out of Singleton. We have large grassy sites available with a nearby creek, the camp sites are located across the creek opposite the house and there is plenty of shade near the creek. We are not too far from Lake St Clair, a popular waterway for fishing, kayaking, sailing and waterskiing. We are also fairly close to a number of different wineries in the Singleton region that offer great food and wine. We are a one hour drive from the Mount Royal National Park which has a number of stunning hikes available and views out over Lake St Clair. Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided, BYO firewood or firewood can be purchased from us (please message if purchasing firewood so we can have it ready for you). Pets allowed but must be leashed due to livestock on the property. We have plenty of wildlife from native birds, fish, eels, turtles, frogs and lizards that live on our creek. We also have cattle, friendly water buffalo and horses on the property that may come for a sticky beak and a pat while you are camping. We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. 2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach, 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome, but please pick up after them. Free firewood - Help yourself to what you need. The logs will need to be split as required. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied and are stored in the firewood storage shed. Every site has a fire pit. Hot showers and clean, decent toilets. Good mobile signal for Telstra and Optus networks. Two Communal Fridges and a cold communal spa. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. Good fishing. Pretty much everywhere you can wet a line. Prawns are best bait. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or on the dangerous dog list please leave at home We have a gentle, well trained old German Shepherd who adores kids but after being bitten by another dog, now prefers to stay inside the house and not visit the camp sites. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. The reason being if you are a large group turning up late, you will ruin the camping experience of other campers who got there earlier to watch the sunset and just chill. Furthermore, the sunsets are one of the reasons people come here. Every single day it is totally different. If you arrive late you have missed it.... 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a slope. We do have several flat areas for tents , hybrids, camper vans and small caravans. And we have 6 levelling blocks scattered across the sites. Dead flat is a concrete slab at any caravan park anywhere but not here.

La Cascina is a small property on a hill surrounded by trees and bushland. There are two main camping areas which would suite tent and small to medium van/car camping. There is access to neighbouring bushland with nice short walks available in the area. Only 20 minutes by car to Newcastle CBD, 10 minutes by car to Redhead Beach and 5 minutes by car to Lake Macquarie. La Cascina is a great spot to stop overnight on a road trip or to get away for the weekend to relax. We have no toilets so please bring your own. The access to the property is a steep sealed driveway. Site 1 is an open site with plenty of shade. The area is flat. More suited to larger camping setups. This site is less private. There is vision of the neighbouring property and an overflow campsite 50 meters away. Site 2 is a more uneven surface area which is better for smaller vans and tents. Redhead Beach is the closest dog beach 10 minutes by car. Croudace Bay is a dog park on the lake which is 5 minutes by car. This is a family owned acreage that brings the best parts of environmental living with the benefits of being close to the coast and a city. A very long time ago it was the site of a quarry. The nature has returned and we are left with a beautiful forested acreage.

At Neverland, you'll find 100 acres of beautiful flat land, perfect for a camping getaway. There is a large dam for swimming and kayaking, with kayaks provided free of charge. Enjoy a hike in nature or take the bike around the tracks nearby. Plenty of space for campers to find their own private nook, and for larger groups to spread out comfortably. The property is just 15 minutes from Singleton main street, and also just 15 minutes from Lake St Clair! A great spot for boating! Campfires are welcome, and we can provide a firepit if you require. We also have a camp kitchen you are welcome to use. Access to the property is good, larger caravans and rigs shouldn't have any issues finding a great spot to set up.

Peaceful farm setting on a working horse property. Offering limited, laser levelled fully turfed sites, to allow space. The large lake is a feature of the property and abounds with bird life of many species. This campsite suits fully self sufficient campers with own drinking water and toilet/shower amenities. Pets are welcome by arrangement, especially your horses (please contact us to arrange holidaying with your dog or horse before booking). In summer you may see mumma swan and her baby cygnets, as well as lots of ducklings. Drop in your paddle board or kayak for a leisurely paddle. Take a relaxed stroll around the property and depending on the season you might spy a wylie fox or a turtle laying eggs. Deer occasionally visit and echidnas and wombats, although nocturnal animals sometimes are a precious sight. There are platypus in the creek and fish in the lake.k Pre-booked riding lessons available. We have a state forest over the road suited to bush walking or mountain bikes. Ammo the horse who galloped out in the Sydney 2000 Olympics opening ceremony is buried here at Lakestead Farm. We love to speak about our Olympic experience. Please note these campsite are for 2 people with one car only (children welcome to visit with adults). NOTE: There aror showers - campers need to BRING their own. We love our pristine environment so no bush poos allowed. We are located minutes from the M1, easy to break your journey, 40 minutes from Wahroonga and Newcastle exit. Just 5 minutes drive to Wyong Centre with shopping centre and good restaurants, and 20 minutes drive to beaches. Off the ground fires are allowed outside bushfire season. Wood to be supplied by campers. Our property is designed to welcome small groups of people who want a quiet getaway. Because we like to keep it more intimate, The property is not designed for large groups of 10 or more wanting a social gathering or party. We are an easy 40 minute drive to the Hunter Valley wineries and concerts in the vines The Lake can be fun to swim or paddle around but all visitors must wear life vests whilst in the water. Locally we have some great festivals to visit the Glenworth Food and Wine festival, Yarramalong valley Spring fair with Scarecrow comp, Wyong Love Lanes festival, Harvest festival, Ratmines Catalina Festival, Brisbane water Oyster Festival to name a few. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ. Camping toilet At Lakestead Farm we pride ourselves on our beautiful environment. We have lots of wildlife around. We are very upset when visitors to the Farm dig holes and poo in them. Leaving toilet paper on top. This is so unfair to us and future campers on our sites. Because this has occurred we will only allow campers with camping toilets. In order for us to accept your request you need to confirm you have a toilet. Don’t say yes if you don’t have one, Checks will be done, if you don’t have a portable toilet you will be asked to leave and your fees won’t be refunded. We are sorry if this offends anyone, we love to share our property but only with people who will love and respect it.
