We are conveniently close to town. Lithgow tourism centre has plenty of information and activities to do. Note: You will need to completely extinguish your fire before you depart. You may collect water from the creek. It is ok to collect fallen kindling, no chain sawing of trees. We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. Wonderful location with a stunning view. My friends and I loved it! Instructions were easy to follow and both the sofa bed and main bed were comfortable to sleep on. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed. There were also many other small bits and pieces provided that made our stay extra comfortable (camping chairs, books, etc). The unsealed road may be a little tricky to navigate but we managed to get there in our Hyundai i30.

Weekend Trip to Nos Astra

This is our second trip to Nos Astra it is perfect getaway for my birthday. I love being off grid and being able to “camp” in comfort and not need to bring everything. Clean comfortable tidy place. Has most things you need, John’s instructions were very detailed and helpful. We drive a Mazda 3 and take the dirt roads with caution but road is accessible. I love the view, the quietness and this year missed out on the star gazing thanks to the overcast clouds.

Beautiful location and plenty of space to find a space of your own without being on top of each other. Friendly owners that take the time to talk and tell us a story or two about their property. Amazing that we are able to make fires too. There was a big group next to us that was a little too noisy too late and Gary went to speak to them in the day. They care about keeping this place about nature and peace. Would go again!

We had a great time at The Nile! Great amenities, I especially loved the outdoor showers. Lots of taps available, and so much space you didn't have to be knocking elbows with neighbours.

This was a fantastic camping experience for anyone looking to truly disconnect. There is no mobile network, which made it a perfect digital detox and helped us relax and enjoy nature fully. The campsite was clean, peaceful, and well looked after. The host was friendly and supportive, and everything was clearly communicated before arrival. If you’re looking for a quiet, off-grid camping experience away from city noise and distractions, this place is ideal. Highly recommended!

Great spot for camping with kids and in a big group. Plenty of space, the river is nice and shallow in places for little people to splash about, plus lots of things for the kids to play with at the site. Toilets well maintained. Road into and out is quite steep and bumpy, fine in our 2WD campervan when dry but suspect it would be a bit sketchy in the wet.

I had a great time in Jacob's land. He is a amazing host. The camping site is very clean and with a gorgeous view. The facility is quite helpful and easy access. Night time the sky is beautiful. 10 out of 10 no doubt. Strongly recommend

We had a great experience camping at DeView. Yara was fantastic. She was very accommodating and lovely person. Campsite was awesome. Kids enjoyed playing with water in the Colo River. I would definitely recommend going there.

9 nights at "DeView" Colo River Valley Camping

We spent one and a half weeks at Yara's place and it has become our favourite camp ground. Beautiful spot, close to the pristine Colo River, spacious but secluded and private. Toilets are well maintained and clean, hot water showers. As for Yara, she was fun, engaging and inspiring to talk with. She meets each newcomer with a smile and advice how to camp and farewells them with a wave of her hand. We highly recommend this place and we'll visit again.

We camped with a tent and kids. The location was amazing and peaceful. The cows, sheep and goats were super cute to have around. Toilets were super clean, could wash off under the hoses around. There were sprinklers there too which the kids loved to play in. The river was perfect temp for swimming we all had a fab time. You could also use their kayaks and paddle boards. Would definitely go back again The entrance of the location had a rough road with dirty and rocks but we saw all types of cars go up and down without any issues.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay with friends and the kiddies. It is rather expensive, that's the only downfall. But the river is superb, the amentites clean and tidy and the free ranging cows and sheep were a hit with everyone ! Would return

Loved camping at De View. Spacious and quiet. Very good facilities. The combination of plenty of shade and river access was a winner amidst very hot weather during our visit. Yara is a helpful, flexible and responsive host. Would definitely visit again.

Spacious sites with access to Colo river. The kids had a blast in the water and enjoyed floating gently downstream. Amenities are available and Yara is friendly and accommodating. Will be booking again!
