We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well-suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking. (Saturday night 2-night minimum) There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. There are fire drums available on each site, most with grill plates - subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day. There are three communal flushing toilets and two awesome hot water showers! Perfect spot to camp after a day of exploring and tackling the 4WD tracks around Lithgow. The location is peaceful and well set up, and the pizza just a short walk across the paddock was a great bonus, absolutely delicious. Would definitely stay again.

A fantastic campsite. About 20 metres from the river. Plenty of trees which brought so many beautiful birds to visit us not to mention the 3 horses that paid us a visit to drink from the driver each morning. The host was kind and flexible allowing us to move our booking a day back to avoid bad weather. We’ll be back for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay at De View. Yarra was very on the ball with directions. Came to greet us when we arrived. The amenities were clean and nicely presented. The camping areas were thoughtfully landscaped and well spread out. The river was perfect for my 7yo and 11yo. And (it was early summer) there was a total lack of mosquitoes! 😁.

We had a very lovely stay at Turon Gates. The place was very clean and well taken cared off. The toilets and showers are very convenient and clean. There’s a couple of sink that can be used to clean utensils with potable water. Wildlife’s great! The horses came around to greet everyone. We spotted kangaroos, sheep, kookaburras and goats. The river’s clean and a great place to have a swim. We surely will be back

Review is a lovely campsite with spacious sites and functional amenities. The Colo River is a treasure. Yarra is exceptionally efficient with great communication and really gives that personal touch. Great spot! Lovely owners, awesome location variety of camping spots with shade of sun clean amenities. There were many families with kids and pets. Kids could play on swings or in water. Entry to the river was easy and water was beautiful warm over super clean and safe for kids in any ages. Hardly recommend ;)

We booked the entire beach site for our family gathering. It was a brilliant weekend. Vanessa was very accommodating and wonderful to deal with. The campsite was beautiful and clean. The kids (big and little) had so much fun exploring the river. Loved sitting with a coffee in the morning enjoying the rich bird life. Saw a big old wombat and enjoyed watching the horses playing in the river on their daily visit. Very peaceful and relaxing. Looking forward to our next visit.
