Weekend Trip to The Bower Farm

Loved my stay at the Bower Farm Collective. Matthew and Rachel have really paid attention to the little details and aesthetic to make this glamping experience enjoyable. If you've camped before you will love having everything there plus a kind size bed! If you haven't, it's a great Into to camping with a little extra comfort and luxury thrown in. Perfect friendly hosts! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our time at Graham and Chris’s property. It’s a lovely place and the log cabin was very cozy and a lovely place to stay. Graham and Chris were very welcoming and checked in on us every day to make sure we had everything we needed ; even bringing us beautiful mandarins from their garden and worms to fish with! The river was a nice place to have a swim and skim some rocks. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Weekend Trip to Camping@2445

Chrissie has thought of absolutely everything in this luxurious campsite. The amenities were beyond beautiful, we loved the Bali shower and the toilet was immaculately clean with everything provided. Every detail has been thought of in the kitchen space, from spare lanterns to bug repellant. The campsites are large and spacious allowing for flexibility in the type of set up and is surrounded by private fences and beautiful scenery. This place is private, beautiful and luxurious. Chrissie is beyond thoughtful, helpful and kind, even reaching out to see if we were okay with the rain. You can see the effort and passion put into every part of the place which I’m very grateful for. We would have stayed another night if there wasn’t a storm (which no one can control). Thank you again Chrissie for this incredible stay we hope to back again in the future!

Lovely spot, it was great having a Toilet and shower and kitchen area. Very peaceful. It rained nearly non stop whilst we were there but we still had a lovely spot to camp. Hosts were very nice. Forster/Tuncurry and Myall Lakes were an easy short drive.

2 nights at Altamira Along Bakers Creek

Great place to camp. Will definitely be one for us to return to. For the kids: lots of room to run around and they loved all the animals running around and able to pat. The weather was a bit rainy when we were there but the hot spa still aloud us to get in the water. Adult: great beer garnden and pool table over looking the kids toy room that allows you to relax and unwind while the kids play and still able to see them. The owners are lovely and made the stay very enjoyable. Recommend this camp site.

We had the most amazing stay at Mountain View! From the moment we arrived, Meredith made us feel incredibly welcome — friendly, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience. The site was exactly as described (if not better): clean, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning natural beauty.

Everything you have read in the previous reviews are exactly as described, A1 cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and facility’s, all the little things have been well thought of and attended to, top quality products throughout, the view from the front deck is prime, you will go far and wide to get it this good at such a secluded campground, so quiet in the evenings and night. Do yourself a favour and stop a few nights, you will be impressed with the whole facility and Matt is a great host , helpful and up for a chat if you feel the need or keep to yourself and have the privacy if you like it like that👌

We had a great time staying at Pete and Margot’s place. It had everything we needed for our stay, and was very cozy. Pete was kind enough to prepare the fire for us every day so we could enjoy stargazing in the evenings by the fire! Would recommend to all :)

Very well kept site, showers and toilets were also very clean. A great spot too - 8 minute walk to the beach and right on the lake.

2 nights at The Bower Farm

The Bower Farm Glamping Experience was outstanding! The setting is remarkable; there is a nice flat outlay where the Tent is located, and a beautiful creek that runs through their property which you can walk along and explore. The amenities are beyond what you would expect for an off-grid escape. Matt & Rachel were personable, friendly and very accommodating. They both went to great lengths to ensure that our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable. Some highlights from the Trip were the Hot Tub, the amazing view of the Stars at Night, the cozy King Size Bed and we even got to see a Platypus in the wild thanks to their suggestions on where to look. Stroud is a humble town with plenty to see and do. There are Cafes, Wineries and a Distillery only a short drive away. Can't recommend enough! Will definitely be back.

Such an beautiful campsite. You get the whole place to yourself, right on the banks of the river. Listening to the river running during the night in bed and sitting in front of the fire with the river running in the background - just bliss. A proper escape - no phone reception which made us appreciate it all that much more. The campsite was well prepared and a drop toilet is available. Sophie was a great host and accommodated us arriving a day late, her directions were easy to follow and we were met on arrival and escorted to the site. We loved when the horses came to visit and our sunrise / sunset walks to try and spot the Platypus. We highly recommend a visit to Riverside Campsite.

We had an absolutely wonderful Hipcamp stay at the Manning River Retreat! From the moment we booked, the host was fantastic – communication was prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful. We booked Middle and South camp for our group. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and were always available for any questions we had. The property itself is beautiful, and the walk down to the river was a highlight. It's an easy and picturesque stroll, and the river itself is perfect for swimming. Our family had such a relaxing and enjoyable time splashing around and soaking up the natural beauty. We truly appreciated the host's support and warm hospitality. It made our family getaway even more special. We highly recommend this Hipcamp for anyone looking for a peaceful and refreshing escape with easy access to the stunning Manning River. We can't wait to come back!

We loved the two nights we spent here. What a beautiful spot and such warm and friendly hosts! The site is located the perfect distance for you to take a stroll down to the river for a swim, nearby toilet and hot shower (what a luxury!) and rolling hills full of cows and stunning views. "The Riverbank" is only 7.5 kilometres and an easy 8 minute drive off the M1. The rich green land supports a small beef raising enterprise and the cattle graze in surrounding paddocks. We are pet friendly however only for those pets that live in harmony with our farm animals. We offer 2 powered sites with water hookup and 2 unpowered drive through sites without water connection; our brand new magnificently appointed camp kitchen and bathroom ammenities are available to all who stay. We are caravan, campervan and motorhome friendly but do not offer swag only or tent sites. Campfires can be enjoyed through the cooler months and when permitted by the Rural Fire Service Unfortunately our 3 metre cliff face river frontage prevents access to the river for activities such as boating or kayaking; nor do we offer farm style adventures. "The Riverbank" as a destination for a relaxing time to unwind or a base from which to explore the beautiful Hastings area. The Abundance Nursery and Cafe with it's splendid lily pond view is a great spot to enjoy a meal or a coffee and only 3 kms back along Rawdon Island road. The pretty country town of Wauchope is only a 12 minute drive and is home to Timbertown, a theme park boasting steam train rides and a glimpse of the timber getting industry of a bygone era. Drop into the Vibe Coffee House, pick up "the best" coffee and a sensational meal before perusing the many treasures of Wauchope's specialty shops. A day trip to the Comboyne plateu is a rewarding experience and enhanced by enjoying a meal at the magnificant Byabarra Cafe on your way through. Whilst the meals equall those of any capital city restaurant, the view of the valley will take your breath away. A large sheltered area, our camp kitchen, includes fridge, barbeque, electricity, kettle, table, chairs and more. Enjoy bird watching, visiting wallabies in the late afternoon, or looking for fossils in the seasonal creek just a few metres away. The historical town of Stroud is only 10 or so minutes away if you need supplies. Karuah River is close by for swimming and fishing, and the Barrington Tops National Park is approximately 50 minutes away. Ride Dungog is located at The Common in Dungog, for mountain bike enthusiasts. The area includes 650 acres offering trails for all different levels. While visiting Dungog, there are boutique cafes and shops, a historic cinema, and a lot more to see as you wander through the streets. Unfortunately we no longer have parties, including 18ths, 21sts etc.

LOCATION: The property lies at the foot of the sheer and majestic Lansdowne Escarpment, bordering Coorabakh National Park. Stunning valley views are to be had from the Flat Rock viewing platform located on the rim of the escarpment above the property. This is a popular spot for local bushwalkers, hikers, and visitors to the area. The cottage is 27 km or a 25-minute drive north of Taree Airport, 45 minutes south of Port Macquarie, and 5 minutes from Upper Lansdowne village. There is a distance of 3kms of unsealed road which is regularly maintained to a good standard by our local council. The nearest x street is Muddy Lane. GUEST BOOK Please familiarise yourself with the guest book and observe our house rules contained therein. Information on our house and safety rules, as well as local attractions and tips for getting the most from your rural holiday experience. EXCLUSIONS: No conventional oven. No gourmet kitchen experience. No laundry or clothes washing machine. (we are in a rural location so there is no town water. BYO FOOD, TOILETRIES, and FIREWOOD Blue Hills Cottage is a self-catered holiday experience and guests are required to bring their own supplies including food, toiletries, firewood, starters, and matches. We recommend that you plan your trip in advance to include the acquisition of supplies before setting out. The nearest shopping centre is in Taree which is 35 minute drive from the property. HOLIDAYING WITH PETS Pets are welcome on the proviso that they do not pose a danger to the wildlife and other animals that reside on and around the property. Blue Hills Property is a reserve for wildlife, all wildlife at Blue Hills is protected. Please read the guest book upon arrival for rules to keep the wildlife safe, keep your pet safe, keep you safe, and make holidaying with your pet trouble-free and enjoyable for everyone. In the Kitchenette you will find: Crockpot/slow cooker, large stainless steel frying pan, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, fridge, microwave oven, jaffle maker, various cooking pots, kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Tea, coffee, salt, pepper, oil, and paper towels for cleaning the barbeque will be located in the pantry. A Kettle oven gas Barbecue and a butane gas dual burner stove top are located on the internal verandah. Bedrooms: There are 2 bedrooms in the cottage which will comfortably sleep 4 adults ( ie 1 couple per room) or a small family. Bedroom One has a queen-size four-poster bed, wardrobes, a dresser, 2 bedside chests and bedside lamps, and a long mirror. Bedroom two has a Queen Anne double four-poster bed, wardrobe, dresser, and bedside lamps. Beds are fitted with electric blankets during the cooler months. Both bedrooms are fitted with a cool cycle air unit and ceiling fans for your Summer comfort. There is a spare room containing a single bed located outside the cottage on the verandah. There is no ceiling fan or air-con available in this room. The cottage will comfortably accommodate two couples or a small family or up to four single adults (who prefer not to share) All bed linen, blankets, doonas, pillows, and towels are provided by your Host. Bathroom: Basic bathroom equipped with shower, toilet, wash basin and cupboard. No bathtub. Due to our limited supply of tank water, there is no washing machine in the cottage. (see exclusions above for more detail) Reservation and cancellation policy: A nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance payable in full one month prior to the booking date. Please refer to the booking platform for further information. Payments less the deposit and transaction fees are refundable for cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the booking date. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the booking date are not refundable. Guests agree to pay the owner for any damages incurred by the guest or visitors of the guest to the building, furnishing, and equipment with the exception of accidental breakage to glassware and crockery. The television is via VAST satellite and provides all free-to-air digital channels. Mobile phone reception is reasonably good so long as your carrier is Telstra. The property is accessed via a 3km unsealed council road 5 minutes' drive from the village of Upper Lansdowne. Pets are permitted, please let management know before booking that you are traveling with your pets Bring your horse! We can provide a safe fully fenced paddock right beside the cottage with fresh water on tap. The surrounding area is excellent for horse riding.
