Embrace the rustic essence of camping without the frills Situated on 29 acres of untouched bushland with excellent mobile coverage, only a 10minute drive from Tea Gardens beaches, our newly established outback retreat is a perfect farm-stay for campers to escape the crowds and reconnect with nature. We welcome self-sufficient campers who have their own toilet/shower facilities. All campers must provide portable toilets used by all their guests and leave no trace. As we are new to Hip camp we still do not offer water or electricity. We will be upgrading with time as nothing happens in a hurry here which you will feel :) Pets are more than welcome, however they must be well behaved and controlled. We do have a very friendly farm dog named Annie who everyone falls in love with (refer reviews fro reference and pics) Campfires are depending on fire restrictions. Access to the property is easy via a grated dirt road 500m off the highway which is very handy for a quick stop or stay as long as you want. Please NOTE! Adress in Google maps is accurate. For some strange reason Apple maps is not as accurate (sorry folks, I have reported it to Apple so watch this space) Please follow instructions in pics to access either Maestros or Pops paddock. ALSO: If it has been raining or is forecast to rain, the ground can get quite wet underfoot so please check conditions and plan accordingly with appropriate recovery gear. Noonameena is a beautiful retreat that feels secluded from the world, yet is just a stones throw from shops, beach, good food and parklands. We offer a number of grassy, level sites, some with shade, others with sun, all with bushland to the rear. There is also a pond/dam area, and lots of wildlife. We have a fire pit for communal use (subject to fire bans and weather conditions). The kangaroos will come and visit you early in the morning, and in the evening. You will also see lots of different parrots and birds. We even have goannas and echidnas about and the black cockatoos will come in for a visit. You will need to bring your own camp toilet, as we don't have facilities here. Pets are welcome but please keep them on a lead at all times as we have lots of wildlife around! Please note, when we have heavy rain, the ground can get boggy. We are very mindful to keep tabs on the weather for our guests, and will be in good communication with you in the lead up to your stay should we suspect there to be any issues. Whilst camping by the beautiful dam is lovely in fine weather, when it's raining, it’s best to camp towards the front of the property on higher ground. We'll advise the best solution in these circumstances. LET US KNOW about your preferred booking even if it appears booked out, as we can probably make it work or have ALTERNATIVE solutions for you! Some things to keep in mind: * please convey your setup to the host at time of booking - to ensure most suitable site * watch out for communications from the host and respond promptly * arrival and set up SHOULD be before dark, out of respect for the wildlife, other campers, neighbouring properties and the host * communicate ETA to host * read the property RULES and specific details on each INDIVIDUAL site link to ensure understanding and a respectful stay (this is a LINK at the end) * dogs need to be on a lead AT ALL TIMES * dog poo MUST be removed and cleaned up * PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY at all times - respecting wildlife, pets, other campers and host property * NO INDIVIDUAL FIRES - this is a bushfire area and requires fire permits * Respect your allocated site and instructions, use your own camping toilet (not the grounds or bush - due to ground water) and clean up after yourself on the site

Mandalong Manor is set in a small valley partly cleared with lots of trees , creek and dam , peaceful setting , wildlife , wallabies , kangaroos , kookaburras cockatoos , occasional koala and wombat , goanna , deer can also be seen . There are a few nice spots for camping . The property is just near Jimbo’s Industrial Art Emporium . You may notice a collection of interesting vehicles , machinery and building materials on your way to the gate . Please come in the main gate and contact me when you arrive , I will meet you there . The camp sites are on the other side of the paddock .

Very quiet, peaceful and pretty. The composting toilets are clean and well maintained. There are lots of kangaroos & wallabies about, and an abundance of bird life. It was lovely waking up to birdsong!

My favourite Hipcamp site that we’ve stayed at!! Jim is a legend and very accommodating :) camping spot was great, it drizzled most of the time we were there but the site seems to drain well and it didn’t get boggy/soggy. Composting toilet was very clean and worked well, and Jim topped up our drinking water when we needed. Good distance from other campers and it was lovely to wake up to all the bird sounds. Can’t wait to come back again, thanks Jim!

Large flat sites, each campsite is a decent gap away from the other. Host provided toilets on some sites. Lots of wonderful bird life. Easy to find and easy to setup camp due to flat mowed campsites. Host very nice and great to deal with. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here with our pets for 3 nights. Sibby's communication was excellent, the place was easy to find and we were guided into our spot. Everything was very green, there was plenty of Birdlife, roos and possums and peace at nighttime. We based ourselves here and went to Newcastle and Nelson Bay easily over the few days, easy drives in both directions.

Stayed at Creeky Heights for one night. Jim was great, met us at the gate and led us to our site. Very quiet and peaceful. Dozens of bird species, wallabies, and kangaroos. Would recommend.

We loved camping at this beautiful tranquil spot for 3 nights! Perfect location, close to everything if needed but far enough away that you truly felt you were alone in the bush. Barry was a wonderful easygoing host and the property is perfect for some off grid quality family time!

Beautiful well kept paddocks with lots of space, flat areas. Friendly Cows next door. A big thanks to Barry for helping me change my caravan tyre that I blew on the way in - missed the rock ;) but found a replacement nearby & thoroughly enjoyed my stay .
