We camped at Sunset site for 3 nights. Terrific hosts and a beautiful getaway in the bush. The extras you can purchase were good value and delicious. We will definitely be back

Weekend Trip to Joadja Gorge Retreat & Camping

Sunset camp was an amazing spot with great views in the evening and night time. Misty mornings made for relaxing sleep ins and there was very little disturbances from neighbours (occasional dog or chicken 😁 ) Jordja historic town and distillery is just down the road for those interested in a tour or a tasting. Would recommend to anyone.

This was a stunning spot! Very pretty bush land and great star gazing. We had a lovely relaxing visit. Victoria was a warm and friendly host. It’s definitely for the experienced and well prepared camper, but we had no problem with that.

Our stay here was excellent, brief though it was. We will definitely return as soon as we are able. The property was beautiful and Victoria was an excellent host.

Beautiful campsite, nice and private. Our families had a lot of fun just relaxing and playing here. Danny was a great host, helpful and looked after us well. We'll be back!

2 nights at Monastery of 11 Strings

I stayed at Rainbow Tree and loved the space, privacy and amount of available firewood. This felt like proper camping rather than setting up a tent in someone’s paddock. The walk to the creek is well worth the effort- I’d suggest a moderate level of fitness is required. Importantly as a solo camper I felt safe.

A beautiful stream all to yourself with a deep swimming hole within walking distance. Private camp site at Wallaby Flat. Danny the host also considerate of our needs and comfort.

What a stunning place to camp! It was a great place to enjoy nature and wildlife. The road in is a little rough, which worried some in our group, but even after 2 days of rain, they were fine getting out. It felt lovely and remote, but was not too far from Oberon when we wanted to go out. Danny was an awesome host, very thoughtful and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Camp sites were great, with enough space to spread out. even with a few groups camping over easter the nights were quiet and tranquil.

This is a great spot. The fact you’re allowed a small camp fire was the highlight for the kids. A short drive to a range of nice beaches. The river was a little further away than expected

4 nights at Joadja Gorge Retreat & Camping

What a great peaceful spot to camp. Tommy greeted us on arrival he was well mannered and very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here. Flush toilet was very clean and well maintained. Loads of firewood around the place. Stargazing don’t get much better and the canyon is amazing wish I had my drone to get some good footage.

Another wonderful stay at Victoria’s Monastery of 11 Strings. Such an incredibly relaxing place, beautiful forest and wildlife, starry skies, Wombeyan caves, beautiful creeks and gorges for swimming, bush walking and all the little extras on site to make camping easy - BBQ, plenty of water, eco-loo, compost bin. We loved every moment, highly recommend, we will be back! Thank you Victoria! 💚

3 nights at Woodenhead Experiences

Scott was an outstanding host . He promptly replied to emails .& was there to meet us on arrival and guide us to our campsite . Our site was large and accommodated us well . Even though there were other campers we were spaced apart for privacy . Bonus was he kids loved the horses , turkeys & chickens .

Victoria was an amazing host. From the moment we arrived, we felt her warm hospitality. The place was wonderful, very private, with a beautiful view, clean, and surrounded by lovely walking paths. She was always willing to help with anything we needed. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you so much!

Couldn’t recommend Wallaby flat enough. Very secluded, felt like the last people left on earth. Large, flat grassy area right on the bank of Hollanders River complete with resident wombat and so many native birds. Kanangra Boyd NP is just across the river. Drop toilets, showers and fire pit, this place has it all. Danny was super friendly and helpful, we’ll be back to this pace for sure.

Incredibly beautiful and wild property - felt like we were camping in a national park all by ourselves. There is water and composting toilet amenities which was a bonus. And walking distance down to a pristine river for swimming. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some peace and quiet !

Weekend Trip to Joadja Gorge Retreat & Camping

What a beautiful little part of the world! The Sunset camp site at the Joadja Gorge Camping Retreat is situated out of the way in private with such a good little lookout into the wilderness below. Beautiful big campfire site which is great for relaxing around or cooking up a storm and plenty of firewood too. A nice amount of room for a small family or plenty of room for a couple to relax. Dog friendly and the pups that are on the property are so lovely! A short walk through nature to the area toilet and outdoor shower, which a so clean and well maintained. Access to pre-prepared platters or grazing plates and beautiful wine that’s all supplied by local businesses from the area. The seafood platter in particular is so yummy and paired with a white wine from Artemis winery. Awesome bush walks around the property and into an incredible gorge with running water well below. Cannot wait to come back and relax in such a beautiful place away from all the hustle and bustle.

Another great camping trip to the 11 strings. I am still exploring the area, then chilling away the evenings next to a warming camp fire with a bottle of red because why not.. The hike down to the river is always my favourite part of the camp. Victoria, as usual was a great host, and very knowledgable about all things earthy..

Weekend Trip to Rhapsody

Perfect place in nature. We loved it. The river was beautiful and Danny was there all the time to give us a hand. One of the best camping spots I've been in this area. 100% recommended, and Danny is an absolute legend. The only thing I'd flag is don't go there on a 2wd car, unless you are a skilled driver. The last bit of the road is full of holes. People got flat tires and had difficulties to access to the property. I personally drived my 2wd car and I didn't have many issues to go down, but I struggle a lot to get out of there as my car was packed with a lot of weight. Still, I'd repeat the experience 100%, it was an incredible spot. Thanks Danny for having us.
