Oakleigh Farm Stay is situated in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Getting here is an adventure in itself!
As you drive down a winding track through native bushland, it opens up into a hidden escape cocooned by nature.
We have a variety of wildlife including wallabies, lyrebirds, kangaroo, deer, wombats, and echidna to name a few.
Our little farm includes chicken, rabbit, sheep, an alpaca a horse and our dog. You can be introduced to the animals at feeding time.
If you enjoy a challenge you can take hike down to our creek which is always changing with the weather.
We are closely located to Exeter General Store, Dawning Day Winery and Farm Club if you're after a bite to eat.
We are a 15 minute drive to the picturesque towns of Bundanoon and Moss Vale.

Welcome to Lyrebirds Nest, a quiet bush escape.
Lyrebirds Nest cottage is situated in the bush with forest views from the balcony and rooms. The tent we had was brilliant (great sleep) and tucked enough away If there were other campers, but we had the place to ourselves. Easy to find and excellent friendly hosts. The outdoor hot shower was a luxury, highly recommend

Lyrebird was the perfect retreat for us to recover from a stressful year. A quiet and tranquil space where we could relax with our dogs and watch the birdlife on the deck, wander through the olive grove and say hello to the horses and goats, or potter down to the lily pond where the sauna was located.
The hosts were so welcoming and helpful; creating the perfect the first Hipcamp experience for us all, including some treats for us to feed the horses who were so friendly.
The cottage contains all you need, and is full of light and birdsong. We appreciated having a hot shower and absolutely loved the deck. Did not want to leave and wished we had booked a third night. I have not slept so soundly in a long time.
We used a portable dog fence to secure our dogs on the deck while we transported items to and from the cottage, and had long leads for walks so they could have some space without bothering livestock or wildlife. There were a lot of kangaroos when we went for a walk up the road, plus birdlife and cattle.

We had an amazing two-night stay at Oakleigh Farm! Our host, Lauren, was absolutely wonderful—warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. She even took us along during feeding time so we could meet and help feed the animals, which was such a highlight. The property itself is beautifully quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind and soak up nature. I’d recommend Oakleigh Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway—you won’t be disappointed!

I stayed with my partner and 2 dogs. The log cabin was wonderful, has all the amenities you need surrounded by nature. Loved waking up and sitting outside on the deck with a coffee with the view of the trees. It was so peaceful! Ash and Ellie were the perfect hosts and made sure we were comfortable!
