An amazing amount of wildlife - Birds, wombats, kangaroos of all kinds (wallaby, wallaroo, eastern greys etc), goannas, echidnas, turtles, ducks just to name a few. There are also plenty of roads to ride and explore via mountain bike or foot. The road in is a little rough, and there is only a small amount of levelled land. But it is still an amazing spot, where nature does all the hard work, and I would love to share it with people. This is the perfect place for those who want to be in total peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Each campsite is private, where by you're the only camper able to book the site. Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Our property is a mixture of pasture & bush, with various campsites situated either on the Fish River or secluded bush sites. There are numerous secluded sites and ample room for exploring the scrub, rocks and river. We move the campsites around depending on water levels and the size of the group booking. ******Access to all sites is 4WD only (not AWD),including your van and may require a river crossing. **** Access to the sites is at your own risk- Please assess the track prior to heading down if you are at all concerned camp up the top. It can be slippery if wet and it is quite steep. - This is bush camping and campers need to be fully self-contained (own toilet please) - NO DOGS or pets please, as this is a working farm and we have fox baits out - Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place - Campers may gather their own firewood onsite from fallen timber, It is sometimes handy to carry your own to get a fire going quickly when you arrive. - Please bring all your own drinking water (the river is available for back-up) - No Mobile phone service at the sites. Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks. - we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. Leave it better than as you found it. Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

Had a private and enjoyable time camping at Wildwoods (Paddock Camp). Very quiet, except for the occasional Jet. Lovely Crimson Rosellas, Kookaburras, and other birds. Lovely spots to camp, and plenty of wood for a campfire (Just need to cut it). Close to the Megalong Valley Tearoom and not too far from Blackheath, Katoomba, Leura and other Blue Mountains Villages. So much to see, need a longer stay. Highly recommend to any nature lovers.

Ange and Tony were the perfect hosts, a clever mix of helping with where to find the right parking spot, advice on the local wildlife ( with two dogs) and keeping a low profile so we could have total privacy. Listening to and watching birds by the river, frog sounds at night, wallabies at dusk, the stars at night were all fabulous. The added bonus was a pizza delivered to my van. It was honestly the best pizza I have ever eaten, with locally sourced produce. I also enjoyed limited internet and phone coverage( if needed I could have walked up the hill). Highly recommended.

We had a great stay. Robert is a very friendly and welcoming host with lots of information about the area and he gave us fishing line to catch yabbies! The property is beautiful, tidy and quiet. Having a toilet and shower available is amazing. The animals, especially the 3 dogs Rusty, Zoe and Max, were so nice to have around. We miss them already! 100% recommend this Hipcamp.

Great site- greeted with a sign with our name on it, a nice fire pit and lovely peaceful vibe only 15 mins-ish from Campbelltown- couldn’t believe how quiet it was! Robert is a very friendly host, with three super lovely dogs who would love nothing more than to hang around your camp quietly all day accepting pats. Shower and toilet is in good condition, Robert has lit up the path so you can easily find your way at night. We didn’t use our fire pit but were offered firewood, and Robert took a lot of care to make sure we had a great stay. Genuinely will seek this spot out anytime we want to travel to Sydney- we felt very comfortable leaving our set up and attending an event in Sydney CBD, only about 55 minutes away - for a great price, a really peaceful vibe and great location this is probably the best place you could camp if you want to be close to Sydney
