Serenity beside paradise. This wonderful location could not be better. Surrounded by trees and birdsong, the serenity is inescapable, and this is before you indulge in the gorgeous outdoor bath! And only eight minutes from paradise! Magali was a wonderful, attentive host who was there when you needed her, but otherwise left you to do your own thing. Amenities were plenty, and very clean. Very impressed with everything, thanks for a great getaway!

We loved our stay at Horses for healing at Sussex Inlet and would highly recommend this spot for anyone who is looking to stay at quiet and secluded spot. The property was easy to find and host met us at arrival. Campground is located near the paddock with alpacas and a donkey (host told that we could pet them, but they were shy and kept their distance, so we decided not to disturb them). We saw many kangaroos during our stay as well. Overall nice spot and would try to come again during warmer months.

We enjoyed our experience at Cudmirrah Beach, the concrete slabs were great, nicely spaced, new and in great condition. The amenities were spotless and clean. The location to the beach is mint! We went in winter and had the beach to ourselves. Kangaroos coming through the area at dusk and morning were nice . The only downside is there isn’t any shops close - so bring supplies in with you. Although this also makes the spot nice and quiet. Would love to go back in the summer.

I loved teardrop camping at Surfside Cudmirrah Beach. The facility was very well maintained. The showers had strong water pressure and hot water. The toilets were clean. The powered site P5 was nice and spacious. The beach is stunning and pretty much secluded this time if year. I do wish I could bring my own firepit and not pay $10 a night, that said, not a deal-breaker. Would easily return annually.

Kids stay free and are not included in the site capacity. Sites are easy access with a clear track. All sites are dispersed so you can choose where you stay. We live on property and are happy to share and let people enjoy our beautiful location. The morning birdsong and evening are restorative. The sunrises and sunsets amazing. Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed! Coming into summer camp fires are subject to weather conditions and fire warnings. Campers must be self-contained. Off grid campers, 4wd vehicles with pop ups or tents on ground and RVs can be accommodated. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property. Extremely well behaved dogs are welcome. Our birds are free range so dogs need to be feathered friend friendly. Old Forty Pumpkin Farm is located in Colo Vale which is 1 hour out of Sydney, 10 mins from Mittagong and 15 mins from Bowral. The owner, Bruce, grows giant pumpkins as well as other fruit and vegetables. The property is the last property in McCallums road so there is absolutely no passing traffic making for the most serene, peaceful stay. The property has various campsites to select from, each with its own fire pit, perfect for a quiet drink while the sun goes down and toasted marshmallows under the stars. Firewood is not provided so please bring your own. There’s plenty of room for mountain bike riding, and bushwalking with many beautiful walking trails. You will need to bring your own toilet, and all rubbish must be removed when you leave.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider. We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available. Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers.
