Situated on the beautiful Wandandian Creek with 15km creek frontage, 2.5 hours south of Sydney, Babbling Brook offers ten grassed areas with an easy 3km 4WD drive to campsites. 15 mins drive to Huskisson and Sussex Inlet. We do not accommodate large groups as our focus is peace, relaxation and family friendly. The property is home to an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, native birds and reptiles. There are also a lot of wombats so stay on the track and look for burrows. There are many activities to enjoy including kayaking, fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird watching and 15kms of mountain bike trails. We are pet friendly, please remember to have your pets protected against ticks. You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please DO NOT dig toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up and leave a real mess!! Campfires permitted in designated areas. There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. No trail bikes. Do not damage trees, there is plenty of firewood on the ground. Don't forget your mozzie repellent. Located half way between Canberra and Sydney, and 15 minutes walk from Penrose station with easy access to all the Southern Highlands has to offer.

This was just perfect for us on our last stop on our journey up to Sydney. The site has nice views of the lake and plenty of space for our camper. Very peaceful and comfortable with water access and toilets just a short walk away. A perfect little beach just opposite for morning swims.

This camping spot is exactly what it says on the tin! Lake Conjola is very charming, it's a great spot if you want a campsite with no official 'rules' and want to just do your own thing for a couple of days. Also there are toilet facilties about 5 mins walk away by the boat ramp so really not bad. We had a great time & was a great escape from the city. Also lots to do in the surrounding areas.

My family loved our camping spot in nature, it was private and centred around the fireplace and river, surrounded by beautiful trees and grassed. Our dog loved it so much she chased the Kangaroos a little too far! We will certainly return.

2 nights at Lyrebirds Nest

Lyrebird was the perfect retreat for us to recover from a stressful year. A quiet and tranquil space where we could relax with our dogs and watch the birdlife on the deck, wander through the olive grove and say hello to the horses and goats, or potter down to the lily pond where the sauna was located. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful; creating the perfect the first Hipcamp experience for us all, including some treats for us to feed the horses who were so friendly. The cottage contains all you need, and is full of light and birdsong. We appreciated having a hot shower and absolutely loved the deck. Did not want to leave and wished we had booked a third night. I have not slept so soundly in a long time. We used a portable dog fence to secure our dogs on the deck while we transported items to and from the cottage, and had long leads for walks so they could have some space without bothering livestock or wildlife. There were a lot of kangaroos when we went for a walk up the road, plus birdlife and cattle.

Large cleared area with direct water access. Awesome paddleboarding and fishing. Very level ground so really easy to set up camp comfortably. Fire-pits already built (will try them out next time when there is no total fire ban active) Very peaceful, camp sites are very spread out, can't hear or see your neighbours. Great tree cover. All round fantastic getaway, will definitely be back and try a couple other camp spots on the property!

Thanks so much Billy and Michele, our family of 4 and our border collie had the best stay! Everything was organised very well, we arranged for fire wood on arrival. Our camp site number 2 was perfect. We had an amazing spot on the river front, the use of the kayaks which was a bonus. The boys loved it so much plenty of fish in the river We can’t wait to stay next time!!

I loved the pink retro caravan and the facilities that were provided. Host- David was very helpful and informed us all the required details. The vibe and the surrounding was very amazing. Highly recommend for girls night out in such a cozy vibe.
