Toms Creek runs through the entire property with many secluded areas to camp along side the creek.
We have a working cattle property and breed Hereford cattle, they will be roaming around freely on the property.
Beautiful views from the top of the hills.
No through road so only local traffic.
Quiet and tranquil.
Entrance to campsite is just past our residential driveway on the left, turn right at the top of the hill onto a mowed track to the creek.

Cameron's Falls is a historic site, the 'falls', really just gentle rapids, are the original river crossing site for horse drawn vehicles to travel from Port Macquarie/Wauchope inland to Beechwood and beyond. Today we are a hobby farm with cows, horses - we invite you to say hello, but please don't feed any of the animals. If we are here to greet you on arrival you can fill up with potable rain water at our cottage.
The Hastings is still tidal at our place so the access and flow varies throughout the day - we generally take our littlest kids down at low tide. Swim, fish or explore our hiking trails though the old growth riparian vegetation along winding creeks. If you are into birds you will see plenty here - in the last 12 months we have counted nearly 100 different species on our property!

Some may decide to visit because of the Famous Ellenborough Falls being on our door step. While others are seeking space, nature, a river side camping spot, a mountain bike focused holiday with the fam, or a cheap group stay right on the river. THE HISTORY OF OUR PLACE as we know it:
The Biripi people were the original and will always be the landowners of this area. They spent their summers on the mountain, while their winters were beside the coast. We are told, this area was once a women's only area, where they would bath and give birth. We respect those past and present who took care of this land and lived amongst it. This is Biripi country. Sometime after this, some people took over the land, and then offered it to others. Then cut trees down to build with, and put cows on it for over 80 years.. then we were offered it! And here we are today....
US: We LOVE hosting people, as we literally LOVE sharing this place with others. It’s part of who we are, but also a huge part of our bigger picture, in getting people re connected with Nature, so much so, that they want to protect it. Plus it’s so damn pretty here, all year around!
You Camp/Hipcamp has been a driving force as to why we have had so many guests find us, and ultimately stay with us (along with some help from our insta #teretulemastelands blogs & workaway/helpx). But if you are wondering why people would visit, I'll do my best to summarise:
• 400 metre walk from our RIVER flat to the famous Ellenborough Falls (famous for being the longest consistent drop in the southern hemisphere - hows that for on the map?)
• All sites have access to the river with a short walk, or a tiny walk. Most are sitting on the famous Ellenborough River.
• The Penthouse spot of sites is our River Flat. With it's hot shower, 2 composting toilets (still fully off grid), outdoor bbq/kitchen, gas & combustion stove & bar in shed (with solar lighting & fridge). PLUS A MTB PUMP TRACK! ALL PART of what you get when you book it!
• The Ellenborough river is gorgeous & fresh, so paddling, floating, swimming, drinking and generally lounging around in it, is welcomed! And the locals often hang out together at the falls (where there are even deeper water holes) and the local made famous The Rapids (8 min drive away). *we will show you once you get here! bYO drinks and floaties!
• ALL sites can accommodate reasonably large groups, SERENITY and RIVER FLAT can cater to around 100 OR more if you wanted them to. 2 composting toilets on these sites. (so toilets will be the main limiting factor for a super large group).
• We book out each site ‘exclusively’, so only you, your mates and family will be sleeping next to each other. Which is why we have a min rate, versus a per person rate. And why most sites include from 8 people up to 15 people within their min rate. Pretty awesome deal when you divide by that!
• Many sites are 4x4 caravan friendly (need good approach and departure angles), and yes, you don’t need to reverse them in, you drive them through making them easy to stop, enjoy your space and get out again!
• Local sites are a plenty, whether that is go for a walk to see the falls, OR it’s a rainy day and you take a 45 min trek deeper into the Gondwana belt, where the big trees live, the turquoise water begins, and the Koalas, and Greater Gliders still live (so long as we can keep those pesky loggers away).
• Most of our sites have had their roads upgraded, but some like Between the Trees can be a little more ‘4x4’ only. So always ask us if unsure.
• YES we allow you to bring your furry friends! 😊. (aka dog friendly stay)
• YES we are perfect for the newbie Mountain Biker or those who like a speedy downhill (blue rated), as we also have a Flow Trail AND a pump track available (great for groms and codjers). NOTE: the pump track is only for those who book the River flat at this stage. Unless you're good at making friends with those staying there, bring a beer maybe.. and you can ask them if you can ride it?
• Fire pits on most sites
• FARM mornings are FREE – just ask us when you arrive! 😊. (cows, sometimes we are milking, goats, baby animals, chickens, a mini mule (Olaf), pigs & we have 4 can be noisy dogs upon arrival). Love some kids to help or just to pat a baby goat!
• Need fire wood, or eggs, we sell so just ask. 😊.
• Don’t have camping gear, well lucky you! We hire it already setup, so all you have to do is turn up and move in! Ask us for more information if this interests you. We want everyone to experience nature, and for most sites, you will go to sleep with the noise of the river passing you... most serene way to fall asleep EVA.

Little Plain Hall grounds - a small rural hall and grounds celebrating their 100th year in 2023 and adjacent to the Ellenborough River with a number of bush campsites available. (If you are after more than a nice piece of grass and a flushing toilet then this property maybe isn't for you!) All sites are reached via dirt tracks that can be rough and slippery. Sites 1 and 2 are adjacent to each other behind the hall and closest to the toilet and the most accessible-more suited to caravans and those without 4 wheel drives. Sites 3, 4 and 5 are adjacent to each other on the banks of the river. Site 6 is separate from the others on the bank of Little Plain Creek but furthest from the toilet. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the river at sites 3, 4 and 5 - the banks are steep and though we have a narrow track down it is slippery. There is access to the river at other spots on the property. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.)
We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall.

From the Pacific Highway either from Port Macquarie or Taree:
Following the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls turn off/ continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). You will cross over 2 bridges. After the second bridge we are the next property on the right.
Larger rigs are not advised. because of the winding dirt roads to get to our village.
One toilet available and limited tank water - please BYO water and be water wise with the tank water at the hall. Well behaved pets are welcome.

Your ideal getaway - limited, private camp sites just a few K's off the Oxley Highway for a quiet overnight stop-over? ...or maybe you'd like to spend a few days chillaxing in a quiet and secure location (we have a locked gate and provide access code). Here you can set up your base camp to safely leave and do day trips to get out and explore the beautiful surrounding area.
Only 45 min from Port Macquarie, 30 min to Wauchope and just 10 min to Long Flat where there's a Pub for a social drink as well as food and sometimes live music on weekends. The General Store has general supplies, takeaway, PO and fuel.
Retaining the peace and tranquillity of our property is important to us and why the number of sites and campers is limited. Although there are designated camping spots we're happy to be flexible if you arrive and would like to relocate within our extensive 'camping area' ...depending on weather conditions and respecting the personal space of other campers.
We have livestock (currently cattle) running throughout the property.
Dogs are welcome if they remain well controlled, tethered or on a leash - this is for the safety of your pet as well as the livestock and wildlife.
You will see and hear all kinds of wildlife, particularly morning and evening when they are most active.
There are no amenities, rubbish or water facilities so come prepared, take what you brought and leave it as you found it. There is one only port-a-loo with pop-up-tent available for hire if required.
You are welcome to take a walk or pushbike and enjoy the peace and nature but please no driving of vehicles or use of motorcycles or quads.
PLEASE NOTE: Fire restrictions from September 1st and usually continue during Summer. Fire Permits are not required for fires for the purpose of cooking food, provided that:
1. the fire is in a permanently constructed fireplace. (or fire pit)
2. at a site surrounded by ground that is cleared of all combustible materials for a distance of at least two metres all around.
3. the fire is completely extinguished before leaving.

Great location to visit the nearby falls. Toilet was outside the hall. Sites 1&2 are open but far enough away from each other for privacy. Sites 3,4 and 5 are down a grassy slope hidden in the trees. Site 6 was very overgrown and would take great care to access over a very old bridge. Bellbirds are very vocal in the backdrop of tall trees. Would recommend if visiting the area

What a beautiful spot to relax on a full time trip of Oz. The morning visitors, cows and horses, were an absolute delight. Great spot for dogs too. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for sharing a slice of your property with us.

We can 100% say this is a truly beautiful place to camp, waist deep water in some spots, perfect for younger children to swim in. Very peaceful, and Louise the host meet us at the entry point and took us down to camping area. We will definitely return.

Lovely place, very peaceful. Upon arrival I was greeted by Astro (a very adorable dog), who followed me to camp, hung around and kept me company whenever I'd arrive back onto site. Would definitely recommend staying here, it was very convenient when it came to visiting Wauchope and Port Macquarie.

We really enjoyed our 5 days at the RV camp, we'd definitely come back. We had fun excursions, driving out to Rowley Rock lookout, Blue knob lookout and of course Ellenborough Falls. The dirt roads were well graded. We had some really hot days and it was lovely to cool down in the creek. The outdoor shower with hot and cold water was basic but it was really good and my wife is asking me to install one at home. The composting toilets where totally fine. We camped in tents and it was a little exposed but we were lucky with weather. The scenery was beautiful and the cows in the field next to us kept the kids entered when they weren't playing in the stock yard. Having the site to ourselves was really nice. Thanks to Lucas and his family for having us.

The River Flat is such a great spot for large groups. We had six families with dogs spread across the site, and couldn't have asked for more. Toilets, shower, and the hut is perfect for storing supplies, cooking, and a quiet retreat for kids in the mornings. The fridge/freezer was an unexpected bonus, too, with enough space for the basics (definitely supported by eskies though). Creek was cool and perfect for exploring on the hot days, and we were lucky to have zero leeches and mozzies, and only a few small bush ticks across the whole group. Plenty to do within ~10 mins drive, too, with the Ellenborough Falls and Rhythm Rapids. Or just play cricket on site while the sun goes down, before watching a blanket of stars and satellites beside the fire at night. Lucas was a super helpful host, too, and gave us a great tip for a local chef - Effie - who prepared and delivered an awesome vegan spread for a special birthday celebration. Honestly couldn't fault the spot, and would love to come back with the family.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The site is very private, spacious, and well maintained, with clean and tidy camp areas that are easy to set up in. It was also easy to find and conveniently located close to Wauchope, which made access simple while still feeling peaceful and secluded.
We stayed with an 11-foot caravan and had no issues with space or access. The grounds are clearly cared for and overall the property is set up well for campers wanting a quiet and comfortable stay.
One small improvement would be signage for the different camp areas, as there are multiple sites available and clearer area names would make navigation a bit easier on arrival.
River access was more limited than advertised, likely due to flooding in 2025, so this is something future campers should be aware of. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
A great spot and one we’d happily stay at again.

We spent 7 nights staying on the Fruit Tree Gully site in our motorhome. We found the site great for us. It is towards the end of the property and is very private. It is reasonably level (level enough for our levelers to work). Each morning there were kangaroos about which was nice to wake up to. We only went down to the river once as there were campers down there and it felt intrusive going through their camp to get to the river. This wasn't a problem for us as we didn't camp there to use the river but it is worth noting for others. Overall, the spot was great for us and we had a nice relaxing week at the camp and definitely recommend it.

After 9hrs on the road and a last minute change of plans (beyond our control) Stephen accepted our booking for the Xmas Period. Lovely quiet spot away from the world but still close enough to explore the region. Well worth the visit and as hosts go, Stephen is up as one of the best we've encountered 🙏

A beautiful, private site on a flowing creek and all the amenities.
We were a gathering of 63 people and had the most amazing 5 day get away. Highly recommended.
Lucas even came out and greeted us in the pouring rain.

We absolutely loved staying here, so close to Port Macquarie and plenty to do in the area 😊 Hosts were very accommodating and we loved having Astro and Buddy visit our site each day. We will definitely be back.
