This cute off grid original pop-top retro caravan is available on the bank of the Colo River @ DeView Colo River Campground with shared private river access only metres away. This little beauty is simple, with character. For singles or couples. Kayaks can be hired and paddling the Colo River a must! An amazing place to watch and listen to the wildlife and take in the stars with so much more to discover. Caravan is equipped with: * a small solar setup to power some lights and USB chargers. * Kitchenette * Double bed (and optional fold down single bed) * Gas Fridge * 2 Burner gas stove * Fire pit A short walk away there are flushing toilets and an awesome hot water shower. No power available on site. No generators or loud music/behavior so you can fully appreciate nature. There is no mobile reception or internet access therefore provides the true off-grid retreat. Telstra towers are 5km up and down the road with all mobile reception approx 10km back towards town. There is a fire pit available for use subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day. Firewood is available to purchase at $30 per BIG bag!! ALL WASTE is to leave with you as we do not have a rubbish pick up. A double kayak is available for hire at $70 or stand-up paddle boards at $40 each both for 4 hours. We are happy to help transport you if you wish for an extra $20 to have a paddle or float down the river providing the river is high enough to do so. Guided Kayak Tour available with drinks and nibblies for $120/person with Lovie There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although I'd be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads. Guided spotlight walk $20 per person, talk to Lovie. The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week just 10kms up the road providing last minute supplies, ice, bottle shop and café. Please note: Due to our location bookings may be cancelled at short notice in times of bad weather due to flooding, limited access, fire or flood warnings. We trust you will understand we are only looking out for your safety and of course Hipcamp credits will be arranged.

An excellent campsite, especially for a large group, with your own dedicated space to enjoy and relax. The owners are so generous with the farm, allowing you to explore and enjoy. The host is also lovely and accommodating. Clean and excellent amenities for those who are not self sufficient. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time away with our extended family in the pines area. Was such a great time. Fire's all day, kids picking fruit, riding bikes and seeing the animals is always a hit. The waterfall is incredible and a nice little walk. Amenities had nice hot water.

It was my pleasure to camp at Fern Valley Ranch. I was alone, however I had warm welcome and hand on guidance upon my arrival. So I felt safe to enjoy camping. Only an hour drive from northern beaches of Sydney, celestial Australian environment is there. Highly recommended to anyone including foreigners.

Loved the place and camping amongst the orchards!! Plenty of grounds for kids to roam free and neighbouring sites were far away enough to keep noise to a minimum. A short 10 min walk to the waterfall with bush walks nearby. Toilets and shower available on site however two toilets were out of order which was challenging for our site. Shops are only a 10 min drive away for any forgotten supplies.

The ground is amazing! Lots of space, with different farm animals and citrus plants that you can pick to eat. Went with friends this time, will definitely come back with my boy next time. Only downside is the limited toilet. There’s only 1 toilet with combined shower for a big camp ground. There’re 2 toilets near my allocated campsite, but they were out of order. Lucky it wasn’t too busy. Else it would be a disaster.

Absolutely beautiful property with wonderful and accommodating owners and caretakers. Our children had soooo much fun playing in the wide open spaces. The waterfall was super impressive after a big amount of rain. The sites were beautiful and open and the fire pits were a special touch to the camping experience. Fantastic spot. Location was easy to find and a great weekend getaway not far from home. Jiji was lovely and responsive, caretaker was a top bloke. Property well maintained and great for little kids. Waterfall was beautiful .. can’t fault this spot for a relaxing trip and beautiful surrounds. Will be back !

We really enjoyed our stay, it wasn’t much of a crowd so it was peaceful at night and even during the day we got to hear all kinds of bird calls. The host was very gracious and welcoming as well. Despite the rain we still managed a bush walk and the paths were well maintained. The waterfalls was amazing, and there was a really good contrast between the forestry, the way to The Rock had more native flowers and foliage as compared to the waterfalls which was densely tropical. The host was very gracious and accomodating, will definitely be back again.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Bring your pets . Enjoy bushwalks on our 110 acre property. Enjoy a stroll to the creek. Enjoy a swim in the dam. Enjoy the peace amongst the protected bushland. Access: The driveway to the property is long and steep. A 4WD/AWD is required. The Site: The campsite has its own access and is surrounded by garden and bush with abundant wildlife. There are two dams nearby one of which has two kayaks for you to use and you can go for beautiful walks to explore the surrounding conservation bush land. A camping toilet with a small tent around is provided by us. The host’s house is a 5 minute walk away from the tent on the same property but cannot be seen or heard. While we are always available for questions and anything you need, we also value our privacy and will respect yours. Kids: Babies and kids are more than welcome! We can provide a portacot, a baby bath, high chair and baby or kids toys upon request and if there is anything else you need to make your stay easier or more comfortable just let us know. Animal companions: - Dogs and other small animal companions are more than welcome but please let us know about your dogs size, age, breed and behaviour when booking.
