Lance's place was a great site for a few days in Dubbo. Close to town, easy to find and well looked after, the sites are well spread out and feel private..
While the weather wasn't great during our stay, we were able to have a great fire in the firepit provided.
The site itself (#6) was mown in a huge circle, providing heaps of room to setup however you like. We used one ramp to level up in our chosen spot.
The dogs loved the open space. Heaps of roos around, but there is so much space at Kangaroo Creek they didn't come into our site.
Would love to stay on a clear night!

Had a nice one night camp with family. Grand kids like exploring the river. Definitely wear protective boots and watch out for Tiger pears. Enjoyed the farm fresh eggs.

What an incredible view, it changes with the light and cloud cover and you could watch it all day - if there wasn’t so many great walks and birdwatching to do! Thanks James and Stuart for your hospitality and sharing a very special and peaceful part of your amazing home. I can’t wait to visit again.

Stayed 3 nights on Site 6. We were the only campers there, apart from the friendly kangaroos. Very peaceful with great sunsets and star shows. We picked the hill site for best solar and even though it wasn't flat, one ramp fixed that, it was perfect.

What a fantastic campsite! We stayed at One Night and the views were spectacular. We were so grateful to be able to see the Warrumbungle while travelling with our dog.
The campsite was well maintained with stunning sunset views of the mountain! We had kangaroos visit from a distance.
Stu (James Dad) was a fantastic host - showing us where to camp and a big supply of firewood - and some limes for my G&Ts!
Highly recommend and would love to come back!

What a great tranquil spot provided by Peter & Sally. Plenty of flat open space with the best shelter with a gorgeous redwood & resin picnic table, with facilities only to be added to in the future were told. Excellent value, hope to return someday

We stayed at Monkey Rock the first night. This site has a shelter and a toilet, which helped a lot because we arrived very late in the dark that night. We switched to Black wattle the next day. It is slightly bigger and the view of landscape is more open than Monkey Rock. We enjoyed both campsites and saw many wildlife throughout the stay. Kangaroos hoping around, Giant Wood Moth (the heaviest moth in the world) visiting us every night, many birds, goats and cattle on the farm. James and his family are super friendly and helpful too!

We had a lovely two night stay at Lance‘s property. Instructions were clear and easy, even when we arrived in the dark. The six sites are nicely spaced out, so everything felt private. The longer grasses between sites were lovely as that’s where the kangaroos were hanging out each day and then the sites were mowed down and well-maintained. Distance to the zoo and into town was less than 10 minutes, which was ideal for our stay. We were able to enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful stars! The site had a dedicated fire pit area, which was helpful. The cows are in the neighboring paddock, but they were never a bother, occasionally could hear them gently mooing but they were at a comfortable distance. If we get the chance to return, I would stay in site 4 again, 5 or 6. 4&5 are further down the field and very private, 6 is up on the hill with a beautiful view. Site 1, 2 and 3 look like they work well for slightly larger groups and easier to access with a camper van.
