Great property. Tim was a good host with good communication.
We camped at camp spot #5 which didn't have easy or close river access, which was dissapointing as it wasnt what was pictured in photos.
Id suggested to speak with Tim specifically about what water access the specific sites have if you were too book.
Would stay again though, in a spot with river access.

Spacious campsite very secluded and away from other campers. Plenty of shade for the warmer days and the river is a short walk away down the banks.

Private site with direct river access for fishing/kayaking. Best suited to tents or rooftops but we were able to get our 13 foot off road caravan in and out with no problems.

We had a very relaxing time at Goulburn downs. Campsites are well spread out so you feel like you are the only ones there. Easy access to the river.

Great camp was huge for the two of us and our dog Leo, we arrived in 38 degree heat, having the river was a life saver.
We went to the swimming section lots of times and Leo our dog loved it. We drove over purely because it was so hot. Otherwise a nice 8/10 min walk from camp.
Added bonus of having fire wood already at the pit and a trash can and bin bag for rubbish.
Very secluded didn’t hear or see any other campers. Would definitely stay again. ⭐️

We had a great stay on River camp 3. It was a nice flat site and very private. A short stroll to the river to cool off on hot days was a welcome relief too! Tim was very welcoming and helpful and we hope to return soon!

Beautiful camping spot with nice maintained grounds, not to mention the Koalas & Kangaroos. Small creek for fishing or kayaking, to swim you need to drive to Ulupna Island which can be very busy during busy periods.

We stayed at River Sanbar 2 for 1 night on Boxing Day and were impressed with the quality of the campsite. The river access was perfect for fishing with two young kids and they caught half a dozen fish between them. Tim was very helpful and generous with his time. Highly recommended.

My kids and I enjoyed a short one night stay on Tim’s property. Tim guided us to the site over the phone, and his directions were clear and easy to follow. Although there were other groups camping on the property, the sites are a long way from each other, and it felt very private. Our site was on a delightful pocket of the Goulburn River. The access tracks to our site were sound but rutted in places, so 4x4 was definitely an advantage, especially in wet conditions like we had. In all we had a lovely time on Tim’s property, and we look forward to coming back for a longer stay sometime in the near future.

The property is the perfect getaway if you want to get away from it all. So idylic and quiet. Our host Tim met us when we arrived, which made finding the camp easy. We booked right at the last minute, not realising it was a Victorian long weekend. We stayed for 4 nights in the Horse Camp, with our schnauzer and cavoodle, who
had the best time ever, as this was, super dog friendly.
Literally, you have the complete area to yourself, so you can choose to be protected, by the huge sand embankment or park yourself, under a magnificent gum.
Tim owns 700 acres of land that has the magnificent Murray river weaving its way through the landscape. We would have loved, to have been right by the river but it was literally a 1 min drive or approximately 10 min walk. We left our paddleboard, boogie boards & noodles for the time we stayed, on the shoreline so our “new” friends, staying right on the river, could make use of them, with their grandkids. We were very mindful to not be annoying but they were so lovely to chat with.
If you need anything from the shops, Nathalia is only 18 min away & Echuca 40min. we took a drive one day just to get a delicious gelato in Echuca ( Augustus Gelatery). So so worth it!
Can’t wait to return and we definitely will have Camp 1 or 2 (camp 1 probably better for solar, as camp 2 you are very shaded). Fantastic place to take your friends or family, to enjoy everything this special location offers. Thanks for sharing Tim. Highly recommend!!

Goulburn downs was a great find. We had 5 night s camping at the river crossing. Caught plenty of fish and had nice warm fires every night. The weather was mixed but didn't ruin our experience one bit.
It was an easy to find property and Tim is a great host. Will be back for sure

Goulburn Downs was such a great place to be. Tim was so easy to communicate with & so very kind. We had a great time over cup weekend with our extended family. The grandchildren had a ball. We will certainly be back. Such a beautiful part of Victoria & a beautiful property on the Goulburn river.
