Noonameena is a beautiful retreat that feels secluded from the world, yet is just a stones throw from shops, beach, good food and parklands. We offer a number of grassy, level sites, some with shade, others with sun, all with bushland to the rear. There is also a pond/dam area, and lots of wildlife. We have a fire pit for communal use (subject to fire bans and weather conditions). The kangaroos will come and visit you early in the morning, and in the evening. You will also see lots of different parrots and birds. We even have goannas and echidnas about and the black cockatoos will come in for a visit. You will need to bring your own camp toilet, as we don't have facilities here. Pets are welcome but please keep them on a lead at all times as we have lots of wildlife around! Please note, when we have heavy rain, the ground can get boggy. We are very mindful to keep tabs on the weather for our guests, and will be in good communication with you in the lead up to your stay should we suspect there to be any issues. Whilst camping by the beautiful dam is lovely in fine weather, when it's raining, it’s best to camp towards the front of the property on higher ground. We'll advise the best solution in these circumstances. LET US KNOW about your preferred booking even if it appears booked out, as we can probably make it work or have ALTERNATIVE solutions for you! Enjoy a hike in nature or take the bike around the tracks nearby. Plenty of space for campers to find their own private nook, and for larger groups to spread out comfortably. The property is just 15 minutes from Singleton main street, and also just 15 minutes from Lake St Clair! A great spot for boating! Campfires are welcome, and we can provide a firepit if you require. We also have a camp kitchen you are welcome to use. Access to the property is good, larger caravans and rigs shouldn't have any issues finding a great spot to set up.

We welcome self-sufficient campers who have their own toilet/shower facilities. All campers must provide portable toilets used by all their guests and leave no trace. As we are new to Hip camp we still do not offer water or electricity. We will be upgrading with time as nothing happens in a hurry here which you will feel :) Pets are more than welcome, however they must be well behaved and controlled. We do have a very friendly farm dog named Annie who everyone falls in love with (refer reviews fro reference and pics) Campfires are depending on fire restrictions. Access to the property is easy via a grated dirt road 500m off the highway which is very handy for a quick stop or stay as long as you want. Please NOTE! Adress in Google maps is accurate. For some strange reason Apple maps is not as accurate (sorry folks, I have reported it to Apple so watch this space) Please follow instructions in pics to access either Maestros or Pops paddock. ALSO: If it has been raining or is forecast to rain, the ground can get quite wet underfoot so please check conditions and plan accordingly with appropriate recovery gear. We stayed two nights and were lucky to have place to ourselves. The second day was a scorcher after our drive up to gosford tops (we seen a spotted quoll! and a lyrebird) we come back and sat in river all afternoon which was lovely. Heaps of wrens weebills mistletoebirds, kookaburras and a bright blue kingfisher, and a wallaby stunning. The river was beautiful i wore crocs in as rocks on bed of waterway Waterhole is waist deep but water was low when we were there.

We really enjoyed our stay here with our pets for 3 nights. Sibby's communication was excellent, the place was easy to find and we were guided into our spot. Everything was very green, there was plenty of Birdlife, roos and possums and peace at nighttime. We based ourselves here and went to Newcastle and Nelson Bay easily over the few days, easy drives in both directions.

Site 4 Such a well maintained campground right next to the river, the sites are spread out well apart from each other. Nice shady trees along the rivers edge and the water was deep enough to get in and cool off. Hosts are awesome and they even had our load of pre ordered firewood delivered to our site before we got there. Will stay again

Loved our stay. Very tranquil. The Ponies were super friendly. Would have loved to rid the Dam of some Carp but wasn’t sure if we were allowed to fish. Will definitely be back.

The quietness was lovely, just us and the wildlife. Brilliant place to stay if you want to really get away from it all. Kangaroos and horses in the same area as us, was a real Australian experience. Highly recommend it.

This was a great spot for a chill. I was after somewhere away from noise and people and this was just the ticket. Spots are roughly 100m apart. There was no-one in the next one so I could only see the roof of a van 200m away. Nice. It is close-ish to the road so you do get a few cars coming past, but wasn't a big deal. Water was lovely for a refreshing dip. One of my favourite Hipcamps so far.

We loved our 2 night stay at Elsewhere. With the whole camp to ourselves on the first night and plenty of space away from our 2nd night neighbours we enjoyed the peace and quiet, swimming in the river and playing with our dog. Unfortunately, no fish were caught but that’s nothing new.

Absolutely Loved it!!! My dog even more. Very cool. Great crystal clear swimming holes, private and heaps of space with fire pit. Heaps of birds and even King parrots. And no leeches so close to water was amazing. Hosts were very friendly and even came and delivered wood for fire. 100% will be going back.

An absolute dream of a place. Limited camps so you're not within earshot of the next campers. We had a few nights with the place to ourselves and it was soo quiet, but didnt change when others arrived. Right on the banks of the Gloucester River, the water was pristine. The hosts were delightful, helpful and have a great deal on firewood if you need it. We'll definitely be back. Thanks 👌

We had an amazing weekend. Yolanda and Garth were great hosts, and koko the gorgeous chocolate lab was a bonus friend for our fur babies, very well maintained camping spots right near the river. Was so good to be cut off from the world with no mobile reception, no radio or TV.. just our downloaded music on Spotify beside the river and a fire at night.
