This Homestead is set on 22 acres, just a short drive from the home of the Black Stump at Weetaliba, NSW. Camping under the stars is a must here as you are able to star-gaze at Australia's first Dark Sky Park. The homestead has 3 separate paddocks each with their own dam where you can have total privacy during your camp. Although you may have a visit from the resident sheep who graze the pastures (don't worry - they are friendly). A perfect place for bird watching an array of native birds including rosellas, cockatoos, and currawongs and you will hear the kookaburras every morning and evening. There are also kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas who roam the area. It's a beautiful place to snap a pic especially if you catch the morning sunrises and spectacular sunsets which are guaranteed to wow you. Do as little or as much as you want to on your stay. A perfect place to just unwind and take in the fresh country air and beautiful views. Stroll around the property and visit the old barn and some of the sheds and farming equipment that are scattered among the paddocks. You will have access to composting toilets or feel free to BYO facilities. Campfires are welcome in the pits provided, permitting there are no restrictions at the time of your visit. Dogs are welcomed as long as they are supervised and kept indoors at night. Being within 20 minutes to the local town of Coolah, it's a perfect stop over for an overnight stay or for a long weekend. Dunollie Ridge is located in the picturesque Erudgere Valley just a stone's throw from the thriving Mudgee town centre. Situated in a quiet elevated location, Dunollie Ridge is perfect for those seeking a tranquil escape in the lovely wine region of Mudgee. For those who love a water view, the camp ground overlooks a large spring fed dam that is home to an array of birdlife . Dunollie Ridge is situated on a 100 acre cattle and sheep property 10mins South West of Mudgee. With one of Mudgee's most popular wineries only minutes away, you can walk, ride or drive and be amongst the action in minutes. Our camp site suits self-contained guests who have everything they need and leave no footprint on departure. You may need to share the camp ground with our friendly sheep (and cute baby lambs), therefore dogs are not ideal, however may be considered on a case by case basis. Some firewood is available however please refer to the local RFS guidelines at the time of your stay to ensure you are allowed to have a fire. The campground is available for one set of campers at a time however if you are part of a group we will accept bookings for up to four vans. Please select the site and just add the extra adults to the booking. For those that need to stay connected there is mobile phone service at the campsite.

Phoenix Flats offers a beautiful camping area with lots of wildlife that love to visit, including Emus, Kangaroos and Wombats. We also have friendly cattle on the property who might wander by for a visit. The property has a number of picturesque dams and walking tracks available to our guests. There are plenty of flat areas for caravan and motorhomes to set up comfortably. Enjoy a campfire in the evenings and gaze up at the star filled sky! Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. We are also super close to Goulburn River National Park, a beautiful place to explore. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times whilst on the property- without exception.

We loved our stay in the beautiful Belle tent on Lisa’s farm. We had everything we needed, the tent has its own (very clean) drop toilet, hot shower and camp kitchen that included a large bbq and even a tucker box fridge that kept our food cool. It was a heat wave when we arrived and Lisa suggested a swim in the dam that was a life saver. Our kelpie Chester loved every minute and especially the friendly morning visit from Lisa’s beautiful kelpie Arthur.

We loved our stay at Dunollie Ridge. The view over the dam and property is beautiful, with lots of farm animals roaming around the property. The campsite is very private and has multiple fire pits. Adam was a fantastic host and had some great tips on places to visit in Mudgee. I would highly recommend Dunollie Ridge if you're looking for an off-grid farm stay close to Mudgee.

My daughter had a great time playing with the farm animals. Lisa and Dan were super friendly and accommodating. We had fresh eggs to eat daily. This was our first camping trip. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The accommodation was very private. Night time we had a camp fire and watched the stars. We loved our stay.

Billy's Bush Retreat was awesome, all the sites were spread out so you never heard anyone from other sites. Mark was an awesome host, set up yabby fishing in the dam for the kids and also some land scurfing behind his buggy. The bar area looked amazing with all the old items scattered around. What was even better the broncos won the grand final when we were there which we watched on a big screen TV while Mark had the smoker going. Only 15 minutes out of Dubbo and you felt like you were in the middle of no where. Well done mate and happy 8th birthday to Billy's.

Our family loved camping on Adams land. He was friendly and approachable and we enjoyed a roaring fire using firewood provided by him. He was also kind enough to let us fill our caravan water tanks using his tank water. My wife and kids especially enjoyed their time with his farm animals including his dogs which came to visit us. Thanks Adam, we hope to stay again with you in the future.

We spent 2 days on July, instructions were clear but wouldn't want to try and find it at night. We arrived 4pm in time to set up and get the fire going before sunset with a view of the dam and valley surrounds (we took firewood). Cold at night but no problem with the offroad van. Ground is clay with small rocks but flat enough. Would recommend.

We had a great time at Lisa and Dan’s. They were really welcoming and accommodating. The farm is beautiful and the animals are lovely. Sitting by a fire, by the dam, amongst the gum trees was a delight. 10/10 would recommend.
