Grady's Riverside Retreat

Grady’s Riverside Retreat was first established in 1979. The retreat is located 20 minutes west of Nowra and is set on 17 secluded acres on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River, surrounded by natural bushland, mountains, cliffs and dairy pastures. This makes Grady’s Riverside Retreat an ideal place to bring your friends and family to relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery. Grady’s has over 500 metres of direct access to the Shoalhaven River. The river is deep and also is tidal which means we have a large variety of fresh and saltwater fish that inhabit these waters. Majority of our well maintained grassy sites are located along the river or have uninterrupted river views. With a boat ramp and beach areas for you to utilise at your leisure.

Grady's is a pet friendly Retreat and we also allow campfires. We strongly believe these few extra things are essential to create a true camping experience.

The park grounds are well maintained throughout the year. The amenities are fresh and cleaned daily. If you are the adventurous type there are many activities to offer in the vicinity such as canoeing, fishing, swimming, bushwalks, 4WDriving, bike riding, jet skiing, water skiing and much more. Come and enjoy our absolute riverfront camping,

-We also have powered camp sites and Riverview cabins and cottages available. 
-The picturesque banks of the Shoalhaven River play host to the perfect escape from the burdens of city life. Only 2 hours from Sydney but feels like a world away. Amongst the trees and under the clear blue sky, sit around your campfire and allow yourself the time to reflect, reconnect, and revel in nature's abundance.

Surfside Cudmirrah Beach

Surfside Cudmirrah Beach is a small family-owned and operated holiday park located on beautiful Cudmirrah Beach. At times, Cudmirrah feels like a secret little hamlet that no one has ever heard of (it’s pronounced Cud-mee-rah). Located near the township of Sussex Inlet, right next door to Berrara and surrounded by Conjola National Park, visitors to Cudmirrah Beach are spoilt for choice with many options for enjoying the outdoors.

Cudmirrah Beach is ideal for long beach walks at any time of year, you can either walk north to Sussex Inlet (and take the dog who will love you for it) or south to Berrara then all the way to Bendalong if you are feeling adventurous!

Truffle Farm Camping

Our property is a working Truffle Farm, our land is fairly level but backs onto thousands of acres of Crown Land and the Shoalhaven River where you can relax in the fresh water, fossick for gold or enjoy bush trails.

If you'd rather read a book, you'll find lots of peaceful spots and the nights are just unbelievable with all the stars that shine so brightly.

Lyrebirds Nest

Welcome to Lyrebirds Nest, a quiet bush escape. 

Lyrebirds Nest cottage is situated in the bush with forest views from the balcony and rooms. The cottage is setup for glamping with an wood stove, queen bed (BYO linen), sofa, electricity, filtered water (hot and cold), hot indoor shower and composting toilet. A bar fridge and microwave is also provided. The open fire is not to be used. 

The surrounding land on the property includes a lake with jetty, sauna, olive grove, orchard and chicken coup. 

There are great hikes on the property or you can follow the creek and continue into the State Forest.

There is plenty of wildlife to see, a bird lovers paradise with plenty of Lyrebirds, king parrots, black cockatoos to name a few. 

You're welcome to stay in the cottage or camp by the lake.

Located half way between Canberra and Sydney, and 15 minutes walk from Penrose station with easy access to all the Southern Highlands has to offer.

Clyde River Retreat

Nestled alongside the upper reaches of the Clyde River, acknowledged to be the cleanest and most pristine waterway in Eastern Australia, lies the Clyde River Retreat – a haven of beauty, peace and tranquility.

This is a special place – surrounded on all sides by State Forest and National Park, miles from the nearest neighbours (other than the resident native wildlife) it is a perfect place to get away from it all.

In particular, the Clyde River Retreat is the perfect accommodation for visiting the spectacular Pigeon House Mountain (Didthul), or the many other scenic bushwalks in Morton National park. We are not far from the Clyde River Berry Farm (open in December and January).

Sussex Horses For Healing

A peaceful private 16 acre property an easy 5 minutes drive to the beach, lake and river around Sussex Inlet.

Paddocks and 2 dams, kangaroos, horses & alpacas, backing onto bushland, great area for bush walks. Plenty of space for caravans, motor homes or tents. Privacy in the back paddock for those that have their own setup. 

Good access for caravans. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place.

DOGS ON REQUEST. PLEASE ASK.

We have horses and you are welcome to interact/feed/brush/pat, just ask me on arrival.

**DO NOT USE OUR BINS, take all of your rubbish with you when you leave, guests will be fined if you put rubbish in our bins, no fireworks and abide by fire ban. Toilet is a Portaloo, no plumbing, watering can or hose used for flushing. Please never use our toilet to dump from you caravan/RV toilet cassette.
Check in 2pm, check out 10am.
No fires on our grass, use fire pit on sandy areas where there is no grass.

Country Camping on the Coast

The site is well grassed and provides abundant shade from the overhead canopy. Best shade is in the morning when you want to sleep in.&nbsp;There is a tranquil creek on the eastern side of the camp and horses and hand reared cattle graze on the western paddock.&nbsp;You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. Bring some books, set up a hammock and laze the days away.&nbsp;Beaches on the coast and beautiful Jervis Bay are 20 Minutes away.&nbsp;The Jervis Bay region has much to offer so if you're up for adventure, bring your kayaks and snorkelling gear. Our beaches have the whitest sand in the world. Why not check out the dolphin and whale cruises and get up and personal with the marine life.The property is 3 km off the Princes Hwy. Turn off is at Wandean Rd Wandandian.No pets please.

Woodenhead Experiences

This bush campsite is located very close to Sussex Inlet. We are just 10 minutes from the exquisite Bendalong and Berrara beaches. Here you will find great fishing, surfing and access to all watersport activities at Swan Haven. There is fantastic mountain biking through the Jerrawangala National Park.

Sit around the campfire and relax (firewood provided). This campsite suits self contained campers with own toilet/shower and water supply. You can use our BBQ and rubbish facilities. Well behaved pets on leashes welcome. 

Horses can be accommodated. Do not enter the paddocks with our horses but if you would like to meet the horses please ask.

Lovely cafes, pubs and shops 20 mins away at Huskisson to the north or Milton to the south. Go for an adventure to see the white sands of Jervis Bay. Enjoy waking up with wildlife and being central to many of the beautiful spots.  

Bamarang Camp @ The Nest Cottage

Welcome to Bamarang Camp @ The Nest Cottage, overlooking beautiful natural billabong's abundant with local flora and fauna. Stroll the laneway to discover the stunning and rejuvenating Shoalhaven River. 
Please note, for safety, we ask that you DO NOT camp directly by the river and in the designated camp site near The Barn Studio. However, you're more than welcome to head down there to enjoy during the day!

Indulge in this exclusive, heritage riverside property located on the upper Shoalhaven River. Private use of the 22.2 hectares of farm, forest and river frontage.

You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet and shower.

There are many varied beautiful walking tracks here in the Shoalhaven. Firstly, an intermediate walk is just off Bamarang Road to Pulpit Rock which overlooks the Shoalhaven River and Bundanon. Ben's Walk, Hanging Rock, Nowra, 
The Grotto, Bomaderry, Jervis Bay National Park, Greenfield Beach, Wirreecoo Walking Trail & camp; Mangrove boardwalk, Huskisson, Cunjurong Point, Gerroa to Kiama cliffside trail, Pigeon House Mountain, Boyd Lookout, Morton National Park.

These are all within 10 to 45 minutes travelling by car.
 Grade of walks, leisurely to advanced.
