Simply put Rock Island State Park...well, rocks! Seriously, this place is your perfect getaway from the thick, southern summer heat. World class rapids will challenge expert kayakers and there are tons of whitewater rafting events held annually. Those looking to relax in the water can sun on the shores of Center Hill Lake at the swimming beach or take a canoe or boat out on calmer waters. The incredible Caney Fork River Gorge offers epic waterfalls, scenic overlooks and some of the best fishing in the state. Rangers are happy to help educate you on keepin’ an eye on the ever changing conditions in the gorge. When the day is done rest your noggin’ at some pretty nice campsites and cabins; you’ll want to rest up for another day of hiking and exploring at Rock Island!
