Welcome to our beautiful 40 acre property with 800 mtrs of river frontage, just a stones throw from the historical village of Mogo and some of the best beaches on the South Coast. There is a lovely deep swimming hole with sandy area that all can enjoy. Shallow sandy areas are along the river, great for younger kids. Bring your kayaks, fishing gear, small tinny or SUP! We have eight beautiful, peaceful, spacious, riverfront, campsites ready for our guests. Just a short drive to the best south coast beaches of Broulee and Tomakin. Located halfway between Batemans Bay and Moruya, and 5km from Mogo. Great for shopping, eateries and Mogo Zoo. You can even frequently hear animals from our campsites! Campers need to bring everything and remove everything, leaving no trace. Bring your own supply of water. Firewood can be purchased by the wheelbarrow load, please add to your booking if required. Otherwise, BYO firewood. We have nine portaloo's available for use, they are situated throughout the property. Dogs are welcome if controlled at all times and do not bark or chase livestock. We have two Border Collies, so we are dog friendly for friendly well-behaved dogs. Please note, if we do not have availability, please get in contact with us anyway as we may be able to accommodate you by opening another site.

Children under 2 are free.  Our camp sites are from 40 to 150 metres from the river, Please note, in peak season, we may allocate sites. The river in this area has everything from sandy bottom, weedy, shallow, to deep areas the river is tidal up to a 1 metre variation. Fishing is fine, other types of water activities. swimming, canoeing, SUP, boating with smaller boats access all the way to ocean depending on tide.

When booking, please mention the name of the existing guest so we can ensure you are placed at the appropriate camping area. Children under 2 are free. All of our campsites are on or near the banks of the river. You may camp within close proximity of the river, or you can camp 50 metres back. It's your choice as long as your campsite is within allocated areas. Please note, in peak season, we may need to allocate sites. My partner and I came here for the Australia Day weekend and it was perfect. The campsites were super spacious so you didn’t feel like you were cramped in next to others and there were plenty of port-a-loos available which were kept very clean. We loved having a fire each night and watching the cows and horses nearby. Only a 10/15 minute drive to the beach was also great!

Huge sites, clean toilets, close to shops beaches and a great distillery only 5 mins away. Campfires and wood to purchase. Lisa was helpful and friendly.

Lisa’s place is beautiful you get the experience of secluded camping with the safety of being on someone’s property. We stayed with our two young daughters and our dog and had an amazing time.

Great spot to camp, the sites are very spacious and you are away from other campers. It’s a lovely property and the river was good for a dip to cool off. Lisa the host was very helpful and friendly.

We had a great 3 night stay at Tomakin River Camping over the January long weekend. We’ve stayed here before and it was just as great as our previous stays including listening to the lions roaring at night! The porta loos are clean and serviced daily, and Lisa is an attentive host checking on campers daily. Large spacious campsites amongst well kept grounds, each with a fire pit with wood able to be purchased as an extra. The Jeremadra Creek is tidal and flows into the Tomaga River. You can kayak directly from the campsite to Tomakin and Mossy Point, the return trip is 16kms. Lots of shade but still good opportunity for solar charging. We highly recommend Tomakin River Camping to other hipcampers.

We had an amazing time! Lisa's instructions on getting to the camp ground were simple, and our site easy to find.. We pre ordered firewood when we booked, and every afternoon Lisa would bring it down to us in a Golf buggy, and we would have a chat. There are several port a loos within the camp ground, that Lisa cleans daily, they were spotless. Camp sites are nice and big, and very well kept. We will definitely camp here more often.

This was our second stay here, great spot for a quick getaway. Easy access, level ground, plenty of amenities, and very peaceful at night, with a bonus of hearing the residents at the zoo nearby. Communication with the host was seamless. Highly recommend if you’re passing through the area!

One of favourite sites of our four week trip. It looked like it was booked out but Lisa was able to accomodate us on the same day, which was a lifesaver. Wonderfully big and spacious sites with lots of privacy. Toilets dotted throughout which were clean. Nice swimming hole. Close to Batemans Bay and all the site seeing. Thanks for a great stay!

I recently stayed at Lisa’s property at Tomakin River and it was such a beautiful, peaceful spot. The outlook over the paddocks was stunning, with kangaroos bouncing around from dawn till dusk, a real highlight. Lisa was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful, especially during a 44mm downpour, offering assistance and great local advice on where to stay dry. She checked in to make sure I was comfortable and even encouraged me to visit her farm animals, which was absolutely adorable. A lovely stay with a caring host in a truly special setting. I’d happily stay again and highly recommend it to others.

Beautiful bit of land close to Mogo and Tomakin. Had a lovely swim in the river. Camping blocks are nice and big so there was a good distance from other campers. Lisa is a gem and was very helpful.

I loved the peaceful environment and the abundance of space, which made it perfect for privacy and relaxation. It’s an excellent place for swimming and kayaking. I truly enjoyed my time here and will definitely visit again.

Awesome spot just outside Mogo. Stunning campsite with loads of space. Portaloos provided and kept immaculately clean. Easy access to the MTB bike trails, 5 mins by car.

Such a lovely place and lovely host! We definitely got some use out of the kayaks available around the river and the swimming hole is beautiful!! Definitely will be staying again and would 100% recommend staying here!
