Description
This place is like a scene from The Neverending Story. Trap Pond was one of Delaware’s first state parks and the last remains of a once-extensive wetland. And the campground? Straight up magical. Most of the campsites are suitable for RVs and tents. There’s also walk-in tent sites and several cabins and yurts to rent. The adjacent, swampy Trap Pond is home to the mythical-looking bald cypress trees, which are adapted to the calm and shallow water. Embrace your inner eco-geek and pay a visit the nature center. And if you paddle through this prehistoric setting, keep your eyes peeled for gnomes and unicorns.
