Originally known as the Brick Making Yard in the early 1900s, the site was home to a brick plant operated by John F. Sherbahn until 1916, producing an impressive 45,000 bricks daily. These bricks were utilized in Wayne and surrounding areas, contributing to the local architecture. In 1965, the City acquired the property from Mr. and Mrs. Merle Tietsort for $1,000. The park underwent significant transformation in the early 1970s, with the sunken area filled to its current level, and it was officially completed in 1973. The City Council dedicated Victor Park in memory of Henry Victor in 1974.
