McGrath State Beach campground is not messing around, with 174 campsites that is great for families and all types of visitors. The campground has normal amenities, including water spigots all around the park and quarter-operated showers. A major plus is that all the bathrooms have been renovated after the campground was shut down a little while back. Due to its size, the distance from each site to the beach varies, although the time will always be somewhere around 5-10 minutes. A great group campground as well as hike-and-bike sites are also available. There is a solid ranger show for kids at the amphitheater on Saturdays during peak season.
