If you're eyeing this listing and thinking about staying, DO IT. Hands down one of the coolest Hipcamps I've ever booked, and we loved every second.

We had an absolute blast staying at Erika's mountain yurt! We weren't expecting it to be so elaborate and plush, so it totally exceeded our expectations. Equipped with a full kitchen, 3 separate bedrooms and a loft, it was spacious and comfortable for our family of four (plus our goldendoodle). We had a blast on the zip line and ventured into the town of Floyd for a bite to eat for dinner. The area is gorgeous and Erika was a fantastic host. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at the yurt. When there was an issue with the internet, Erika got right on it and resolved it. This was especially great since we were there for 4 days of straight rain from the hurricane.
It was lovely to osten to the rain on the yurt while being cozy inside.
The zip line was super fun and the dog pen was a really nice secure space for our pups.
My wife and I spent a lovely, relaxing couple of nights in the yurt just after our wedding! We used the time mostly for quiet relaxation. The yurt was perfect for that! We particularly enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen area and warming up by the gas fireplace. The yurt also features numerous cozy places to read and/or cuddle!
We would love to stay there again as a couple or with a larger group!
We decided to getaway for a weekend birthday celebration alone without the kids and pup. Amazing experience to stay in a yurt, definitely one of a kind, and happily checking that off my list. The place was extremely cozy and warm during our snowed in stay. It was a great idea to bring all our groceries because we arrived, we didn’t want to leave this inviting space. Loved the kitchen space and all of the special artistic yet thoughtful touches.
Erika was a great host, and extremely helpful and sweet when we extended our stay due to the foot of snow in less than 24 hour. Couldn’t have asked for more from a place and host.
Do check the directions route before driving to the yurt. Sometimes gps directions will take you the shortest route but not the smartest or only route there. We went up the “back” of the mountain which is a very windy switchback gravel road that is probsbly not as treacherous as it looks when driving in the dark.

This place is AMAZING! It provides a uniquely different way of exploring the mountains than your average camper, tent, or cabin. It was just a great evening. Erika made sure to cover every little detail in her instructions. The yurt was cozy, warm, and inviting. We felt an amazing sense of joy during our stay. I would definitely recommend and will surely return!

We had a really great time staying at this Yurt for Valentine's Day. It was very private and so beautiful. Everything we needed was available. Extra perk that it is dog friendly and we didn't have to leave our dogs at home! We filmed a bit while we were there, you can find the footage on youtube

It was incredibly lovely to stay at the yurt. Every single person in our group of five loved the stay,, and even discussed traveling back to Virginia just to visit the yurt again! We all felt like we could stay forever.
The yurt had the perfect amount of space for us. It was big enough for us all to have our own spaces, but open enough for us all to feel together. There were also a variety of cool and cozy spots to relax.
If you're looking for a unique and close to nature experience, this is the yurt for you!

The yurt exceeded our expectations in every way! It was much bigger than anticipated but also quite cozy. The zipline felt a bit more precarious than expected, but once we got the hang of it we all had a blast using it. We enjoyed hiking around the grounds, checking out the cows and horses nearby, and relaxing on the deck. We would love to return with a larger group to enjoy the space. Also, Erika was a great, responsive host!
