If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
From the moment my family got there we knew we made the rigjt choice. The host Sam is truely great guy and was extremly kind amd helpful. The property is breathtaking and the river beautiful. We had a perfect spot not 20 feet from waters edge. And if you love fishing this is the place to go at 0630 in the morn i got up and within 15-30 mins i had caught 4 bass and almost landed a 10lb plus blue channel catfish. Ive tried to be far and think of something negative to say no matter how small and can come up with nothing. Thank you Sam we will be back a few times more this year alone.
Riverside Farm is a BEAUTIFUL property in a super convenient location. Sam and his dog Luna greeted us and helped us pic out the perfect spot anywhere on the sprawling property to set up for the night. The sunset was amazing and at dusk we had our own personal light show with thousands of fireflies. Sam was very communicative and kind and supplied us with a really nice fire pit next to our tent. Sam left us to our own devices and we were able to explore the whole property and got the opportunity to walk around the impressive CBD farm which was awesome and not something you see every day. Overall we had an amazing time here. Sam is very laidback and kind we had great conversation in the time we saw him. Definitely want to come back here this place is a total gem.
Wonderful riverside spot
We stayed under the big oak tree on the river and it was wonderful! We had enough room for two very large tents and hang out area with all day sun. The river was no more than knee deep with lots of beautiful tiny waterfalls that made for perfect relaxing and exploring for the adults and child alike. Sam was very nice and helpful, he brought us a firepit, trashcan and lots of wood. There was another property across the river but the whole experience felt very private, like we had the river to ourselves. Highly recommend!
Amazing camping spot
Wow! What can I say? The property was amazing. Better then I expected! Sam was an excellent host and very gracious. The land is beautiful and private. The river was perfect for wadding and cooling down. The sunsets were breathtaking and the stargazing was perfect for the sky watchers out there! Town is close by if you need supplies. If you have an adventure dog or two they are more then gonna be happy you took them there and there is a very friendly dog named Luna to greet you when you arrive. I can’t wait to go back.
Riverside Farm could’ve not been a better choice. Not only surrounded by beautiful farm but with plenty of land to camp (sam the owner lets you choose your site) and a river on it. Dreamy. Plenty of interesting corners to set your campsite. Sam was incredible welcoming and a fabulous host. We will definitely be back.
Perfect spot down by the river!
This is a great spot down by the river! The property is wonderful, and it's really nice to have able to get away. The sound the river and wind in the trees. Just a little ways from the big city.
Sam was great and brought down our ordered supplies once we got setup.
There is a bit of a steep angle headed down to the camp sites for RV or non- 4WD vans, not an issue for pickups, or cars. Sam also has a tractor if you need help. Thought I'd have trouble with my Promaster but it was ok, in dry conditions with only a little slip. But this is what adventure looks like!
We'll be back!
This place is a gem! Sam is super nice and very accommodating. Upon arrival he brought us down to the sites along the river and let us choose whichever spot we wanted. Later he brought us a crate of kindling and newspaper and offloaded a bundle of firewood for us. He explained the rich family history behind the land and offered us the freedom to roam as much as we wanted. It was a real treat to walk along the CBD crops and take in the fragrance! Sleeping to the sound of the river after watching a glorious sunset and chasing fireflies was ideal. We were stoked that the drive up from the city was short and so close to Mohonk and Lake Minnewaska as well. I would highly recommend this place, can't wait to get back there.
