This site was nice and private with a serene outlook close to Coffs Harbour. However it is up a very steep hill with a tight turn and the listing says its suitable for small caravans but we needed to use the bobcat to to turn our caravan on the narrow site which wasn't ideal.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Middle Ridge Camping Site, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! The camp is nestled in a serene spot, offering a breathtaking landscape view of rolling hills that stretch out as far as the eye can see. Every morning, the misty hills in the distance seemed to greet us, and the sunsets were absolutely magical — the sky bursting with colors as the sun dipped behind the mountains.
One of the best features of this campsite is the proximity to amenities. It’s the perfect balance of nature and comfort. While you're surrounded by nature, you’re never too far from the essentials like clean washrooms, drinking water, and a small shop with all the essentials for a spontaneous BBQ or camping needs.
As for the bonfire experience, it was truly special. After a day of hiking or exploring, gathering around the campfire with family and friends, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories felt like pure bliss. The fire's glow and the quiet, peaceful ambiance of the lake view made for some of the most relaxing and intimate moments of the trip.
Speaking of the lake, the view is absolutely picturesque. Whether you’re relaxing by the campfire or enjoying a morning coffee, the serene lake provided the perfect backdrop for every moment. The stillness of the water, surrounded by trees and distant hills, was simply mesmerizing.
This is an amazing spot for families looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway.

Awesome spot. The host, Darcee, really looked after her guests. Toilets, showers if needed. Dump point on site. This was great for the length of our stay. Probably only negative wax the cost of the firewood, recommend bringing your own.

We stopped here on our way up to Northern NSW and honestly, I could easily stay longer. Our site is a top a hill with 3 other sites, bathroom and shower over looking a large dam/lake and it was so quiet. Such a change from the caravan/holiday parks. All grass area, power and water. It’s a little off the main highway, but it is so worth it. Friendly caretakers onsite to assist with anything.

Our families first camping trip, and we could not have picked a better spot. The Lake View site was very well maintained, close enough to amenities to be comfortable but far enough away to feel secluded. Waking up to cows as our neighbour was an added bonus. The Caretaker on site was very friendly and approachable.
We will definitely be coming back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Valley View. It is very peaceful with lots of space. Our kids and dog enjoyed swimming in the dam and river. It is also only a 25 minute drive to some beautiful beaches. It was a great base for us to explore the area. We would definitely come back.

We stayed one night at Valley View Escape with 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog on our trip back up to Queensland. We originally booked a powered site but ended up switching to an unpowered site down in the new river flats section. The powered area was mostly on a slope which made things a little hard as we were travelling with 2 caravans and the site is quite close to other campers, more like caravan park spacing, which isn’t really our style as we prefer a bit of privacy. That being said, the site we had originally booked (powered site 4) is located at the end which meant it had the most space and a great view.
The caretakers were fantastic, very friendly and accommodating when we asked to change sites, which we really appreciated. The unpowered river flat site ended up being perfect for us, with plenty of space between campers and a lovely sense of peace and quiet.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, incredibly green, and the views across the property are amazing. We didn’t use the amenities, but they looked well kept.
We finished the day with a swim in the lake, which was a real highlight. The water temperature was great and the kids had a ball jumping off the jetty, a perfect way to wind down after travelling.
Overall, a beautiful property with stunning views and a great option if you’re looking for space, nature and a quieter camping experience.

We stayed at a River Flat site, easy access to the small creek and amenities nearby. The area was huge with the ability to find a spot away from other people (if you didn't require power)
Cows were spotted across the creek each day. Dump point and rubbish bin also available which was great! Beautiful dairy farm with green hills every where you looked! We towed in a 16ft caravan with no issues. We would absolutely stay again, it was a very peaceful place

This was a great base for us to visit family in Nambucca Heads. Hosts were great, beautiful lush green grass, very quiet and loved that it was dog friendly. Will definitely be back!

Lovely site in the countryside. Good clear location instructions.
However the power was insufficient to run some items in our motorhome e.g. air con (which is why we paid for a powered site!)
Those wanting power were all quiet close together.

Easy to access campsites. Toilets and showers are basic but clean and great hot water. No issues with power. Working farm so be prepared for 530am machinery or a motorbike. Friendly staff and great dam for swimming. Dog friendly and great to walk around the creek / whole property.

Beautiful spot. Plenty of room in unpowered sites to have privacy, awesome views across the valley.
Hot shower was a luxury and watching cattle be moved between paddocks less than 5m away over morning coffee was a unique treat.

This would be one of our top Hipcamps.
The camp was neat, tidy and well maintained.
We stayed at the Lake View site. We got 2 19.6 foot caravans set up with no issues. The lake was fantastic and our dogs loved it! The were also great swimming holes on the creek to enjoy.
Amenities were clean and well maintained and having a dump point on site made life easy.
Make sure to bring your own wood for the open fires, you can buy some there but the price is a bit steep.

We enjoyed our time at valley view escape over the new years break. The lake is super nice and the views are great. I'd note that the river isn't really swimmable at the moment but that's probably due to lake of rain. Also, the grass was very long. The site would be much better if they'd had given it a quick mow. Other than that it's a great spot!

This was the second time staying here and it didn’t disappoint. The showers are a true camping luxury; hot and overlooking the valley and cows grazing. The sites are conveniently separated for privacy but you feel safe being on the property amongst others. The bird life is absolutely fantastic! The only consideration is that there is no shade on the sites- a must to bring your own awning or shelter if staying here.
