Welcome to Mountainview at Long flat, a picturesque property surrounded by mountains, river flat and the beautiful Hastings river. Our property is located 45 minutes west of Port Macquarie and 20 mins from Wauchope. Located on the edge of the small community of Long Flat. Mountainview offers approximately 15 acres/700mts of riverside van sites which cater only to self-contained vans. Public toilets are within easy walking distance in the local township of Long Flat where you will also find a great pub and general store to resupply (1 km from property entrance). The property features a gated entrance and graveled road for your convenience and safety. We have 13 designated van sites available with plenty of space for privacy. If you are booking with others, please let us know so we can site you together. We are unable to accommodate tent sites. The river is a perfect spot to swim, kayak or fish with plenty of wildlife around to see, river shoes are advised for your comfort. The river can sometimes be swollen and fast flowing. Please watch children at all times. Camping fires are only allowed outside of fire restrictions. Fires must be in a proper container / bucket. Please leave site clear. If you forage for wood please clear site of whats left before leaving This property is pet friendly though we do ask that owners leash and clean up after their fur babies. Dump points are located at Wauchope and Port Macquarie. We ask that all rubbish is taken with you upon leaving. Please be mindful that we do have neighbours and we ask that you be respectful and keep all noise to a minimum after 11pm and before 6am. Please DO NOT cut through our neighbours property to get to and from pub. This is classed as trespassing and you will be ejected from property. If broken glass is left behind on the site it will result in an instant ban. Ph service is available in the area. Absolutely NO dumping of black water on property. We loved our time at Long Flat. We originally booked at the pub but changed due to a shift in dates. As it turned out it was a good move because the pub was packed and we had a very generous space to ourselves in a tranquil setting. The river was beautiful and we loved floating down the mini rapids on our tubes. It’s a very peaceful setting. Deposing of rubbish was a challenge, and having your own toilet to last 4-5 days is a must. Overall we were stoked with our stay. Thanks for having us guys 😄

Thankyou Brett and Melanie for allowing us this beautiful camp spot. Very tidy , beautiful views , lovely place for kids, beautiful swimming. Melanie was very lovely as well. She came down and met us and made sure everything was OK. Highly recommended

Stunning area to visit and play. Very well maintained with sites mowed/slashed and clear access and visual to the river. Melanie went above and beyond to accomodate our last minute booking being readily available to assist with coded access to the property - thank you. If you are using the public toilets in Long Flat just remember to take some toilet paper - the area and surrounds become very busy in peak holiday periods. Ellenborough Falls was a fabulous sight to see. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at MountainView Long Flat.

Honestly 11/10 Absolutely beautiful spot with view of the river. The allocated sites are all very generous and allow for easy drive through access and privacy. Sites were well maintained and hosts Mel and Brett were fantastic! I’d also recommend this place for anyone who wishes for security - the coded gate is a reassuring extra. We were able to relax, fish out the front of our campsite and head out to explore the stunning surroundings. The local pub was good too, where we could have our fur buddy sit with us in the beer garden.

Had a awesome time camping at Mountainview at Long Flat. The site1 we stayed on with our caravan was nice and level with beautiful green grass. The site was also huge with lots of room to spread out out camping accessories and to laze around on our large chairs. Ample room for our joolca shower tent and very private for our bathroom setup. At least 40 metres away from site2 next to us. At Mountainview there are 13 sites to camp on so it did not look packed at all even though it was fully booked for Easter long weekend, I could only really see 3 other caravans further up from us insane. The hosts were very nice and down to earth people and left us alone but did a drive by on there quad bikes everyday to see if we were ok.The freshwater river was awesome for my son to swim but just a little bit too chilly for this old duck. Had the best time camping here and will be back regularly as we only live 40 minutes away in Port Macquarie. A definite hipcamp to check out. Your mad if you don't.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Mountain View, Long Flat. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We stayed on Site 8, which had a lovely amount of shade and stunning views of the flowing water. The campsites are well spaced, offering plenty of privacy, and the level ground made setting up our camper trailer a breeze. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.

Melanie and Brett were very welcoming and made our trip so easy. We spent 2 nights at this gorgeous place right on the river. Was perfect for our first little getaway in our van. Peaceful, quiet and amazing views. We will definitely be back again. Thanks for having us and thanks for offering a perfect little piece of paradise to reconnect with nature
