Absolutely loved it, so did the kids.
Mini 4WD track, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boating. We loved waking up with cows and sheep surrounding us. Haha.
Definitely my new 'go to' camping spot. 💜

When it comes to camping, we simply do not look anywhere else we’ve stayed there over 10 times. Absolutely amazing place, fantastic host wonderful amenities very highly recommend recommended.

Perfect campground for our family with younger kids. The host set up a big water slide and the river was calm and shallow for the kids to swim. The campground was big, so although there were others there was the privacy of your own spot. Plenty to pick from. Would definitely recommend!

It was a great place, lots of spaces to choose, toilets are ok for a campsite. Many fireplaces to choose from. Lots of available river water pumped. After asking for permission Phil even allowed us to stay a few extra hours after packing up and checking out, which meant we go go for a swim

Second time we have gone to Jila and we would go again, loved it. Perfect amount of chill and nothing can beat the river, perfect for families with young kids. ❤️

The place has so much potential and with a bit of love it could be fantastic. Unfortunately I woke up at 7 and high tailed it out of there (in account of the flys)
Positives!
-Close to shops
-swim spot accessible
-host had good communication and seemed like a nice person.
Negatives
-I was swapped by flys ( I couldn't sit outside my van, further more about 20 ended up getting in despite my bug net.. was a serious mission to get them out 😂)
-cow dung everywhere
-toilets not great
-everything was a bit unkept upon entry
It's just too expensive for what you're getting. Again the place could be fabulous if it had some TLC.

We have come back from an awesome couple of days at Jila Campground. Super location which is made incredible by being situated by the river. We spent most of our day floating up and down the slow moving river, watching the kids jump in and splash about. There were many (10) kids Kayaks down at the river for everyone to use. We had an absolute blast.
There are a few negative comments on here regarding the driveway and cow pats. Personally I would take them with a pinch of salt, neither were a problem for us.
We will definitely be back, bringing more friends to introduce them to Jila!!

Went as a family of four, 2 kids and had a brilliant time. The river was beautiful and the campground was great.
Definitely recommend and will be back.

It was our first camping experience, we paid almost 60$ with GST and all, but it was a very bad experience. For 60$ it was unpowered, though we were aware of it, still was expecting at least clean toilet. Toilet was dirty, flush was not working. It was badly managed, cows dunk everywhere, insect all over the face couldn’t breathe, had to drive away as soon as we got up due to flies. Worst experience. Do not recommend.
Only good thing was a river, it made our hot day bit better and river was clean and nice.

We went with our 2 little kids camping for the first time and loved it. Accessibility and services were perfect for the first time. Highly recommend this for first timers and with young kids. Everyone there was careful while driving and many activities for the children

We camped with a tent and kids.
The location was amazing and peaceful.
The cows, sheep and goats were super cute to have around.
Toilets were super clean, could wash off under the hoses around. There were sprinklers there too which the kids loved to play in. The river was perfect temp for swimming we all had a fab time. You could also use their kayaks and paddle boards. Would definitely go back again
The entrance of the location had a rough road with dirty and rocks but we saw all types of cars go up and down without any issues.

This is the best place we have ever camped & we are very well travelled. We absolutely loved it! Couldn’t fault it. The river is pristine with all different depths and temperatures, amazing river for all different aged kids!!! Kayaks & SUPs on site, has clean toilets, shower, rubbish & recycling, a soccer field, zip line, ninja course, taps, washing up station, undercover BBQ area was surprised. The animals made it super special, did read some reviews prior but we had no issues with cow poo or the driveway and we had two days of severe thunderstorms. They have earthmoving equipment on site & did driveway repairs. Free fruit from the orchard was a nice touch. Has 1 bar of reception on the river, but full reception at the top of the property. Was a digital detox, but easy reception if you need it so good. Close to service stations & a bottle shop etc so ice was easy. We will be back again and again. Kind of wish I didn’t post on my instagram got so many comments I might struggle to book in now ha ha

Exceptional location, excellent communication with the hosts, great facilities and all the basics included like toiletries, kitchen utensils, gas BBQs and a fire pit. The kitchen, showers, toilets and seating were a bonus. Camping that is great for groups and families. Access to river swimming was magical. Lots of activities close by like kyaking and fishing - recommend going early as this is a very popular area. Unlike some reviews the animals were a nice feature and love that dogs are allowed.
Communal glamping not for me. I would consider staying agin for the location and camping. Not the glamping. Everyone on top of each other. Our tent leaked, the showers were cold and the beds hard. Take the broken tent down and create more space for gathering - fix the leaks and find a way to de-mould. An adventure but not quite what I expected for the same cost as a hotel room.

We loved it! Everyone had a great time but we did have some collective feedback amongst attendees…? Kayak were hard to find/ in different places each day and not enough paddles/life jackets available. We had firewood but the firewood area was always empty - we saw other campers trying to break up wood in very unsafe ways without any equipment. Toilets were excellent but very dark with the door closed. Someone had a generator running which was a bit annoying as this was one of the reasons we chose to come. Another person had a drone, which was not against the rules per se but was quite noisy. Left-most section was best for little kids as the water is shallow but access is very sketchy, I fell down it. Maybe it needs stabilisation? Flying fox had a broken caribeener on one side which looked a bit unsafe. The driveway was a bit nail-biting for some passengers. Riverwater taps were great! Hope our feedback is constructive and helpful! We will be back to enjoy the magnificent river.

Phil’s Jila campground is unreal. The river was refreshing. The available kids kayaks were a hit with the kids and dogs.
Great to have a fire, toilets well maintained and fresh eggs and produce available were delicious.
Also a great touch with the giant slide, soccer field and ninja ropes course.
Our group of families Loved it.
We will be back!

Let’s start by saying overall, this is a great camping area. We loved the campground and the river was a great place to relax.
We stayed in the flash camp, (glamping tents). These are very basic tents with a mattress on the floor. The showers only supported 3-4 people before the hot water ran out, one of the locks on the toilet doors were broken and the price is way too high for this kind of camping here.
I would recommend the much cheaper campground area in a tent or camper.
Hopefully this can be rectified by either a larger water tank or bigger batteries for the solar.
Still, after all this, it was a great experience with family & friends and I would still like to return again in the future another time.

We loved camping at Jila. It's a gorgeous spot that feels disconnected from the busy world but is in fact only 10 mins or so drive from major shops if you need supplies. The river is easy to access and shallow so perfect for our kids to swim and kayak. Phil and his brother set up a waterslide every afternoon for the kids to use and there is also a little ninja area that our kids loved. We will definitely be back!

Jila Flash Camp
We stayed at the Flash Camp over New Years. I was really impressed with the amenities, Bbq's & toiletries.
The whole site is very family & kid friendly. They put on an inflatable water slide for the kids in the afternoons, there's a park area with slack lines & a flying fox plus a soccer field.
The water was beautiful & peaceful, plenty of shallow areas for the kids & deeper parts for a swim.
I highly recommend Jilla, we'll be back!!

This place was perfect for us family of four (1 toddler and a dog). The space is big enough to find shade and flat areas. The river was the highlight though. Beach, shallow and deep water!
It was a great start of the year and we will be back for sure

We stayed for two nights on our way back from central coast. It was so lovely, the river is accessible from the campground and there is heaps to do for kids. The owners have placed a flying fox, kids monkey bars, and a soccer pitch with goals. They also come in the afternoon and inflate the inflatable water slide for kids. There are toilets and sinks for washing up. They also accept dogs and allow fires. The glamping area is very cosy from what we could see ☺️ thank you for having us, we will be back for Australia Day long weekend for more adventures
