Had a great stay here, view was unreal, everything exactly as described. Alex was a fantastic host, super helpful, easy to deal with. Will absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed spot with a great outlook.

Super convenient to get to, Alex was great to deal with and this is the perfect camp for anyone with young children looking to get them started in their camping experience or groups that maybe don’t have experience going remote.. grounds were clean and really well kept, great views and easy in/out access for vehicles and flat ground for setup..

Location was stunning, with peaceful surroundings and beautiful natural scenery all around. Alex was incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering great tips about spots to check out and going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It’s clear he put a lot of care into the site and genuinely want guests to have a great experience.

We had the most amazing stay at Calabash Haven! The open camping area is surrounded by beautiful views in every direction—it really felt like a peaceful escape from the city, yet it’s so close to Sydney.
Alex was extremely helpful and welcoming.
It was perfect for our family, including the kids and our dog who absolutely loved the space to run around. Only 8 minutes to the shops and Berowra Waters, where you can enjoy a relaxing coffee and even tried a bit of fishing.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in nature without going too far from home!

Last minute Dash with 3 families and somehow i didn't want to travel?? Typing all my pre requisites in, Alex's property was available and ticked all the boxes we needed to just chill out relax and unwind before this year begins. What a lovely place it feels like your far away but in actual fact we were only 17 minutes away what a lovely place can't recommend this place enough they were so lovely and made us feel at home with Berowra waters 10min away shops etc if you really needed to it was there for peace of mind!! Thank you Alex for a wonderful getaway and we will be back again.

Nice open field with plenty of room for activities. Alex was very helpful and a great host. Only a 5 min drive to the water where we could drop a boat and the kayaks.
Alex provided bins to our campsite and assisted with any and all questions we had.

Such a lovely place, so close to Sydney city and yet feels like totally a different world. Easy to access, just nice to get away from your everyday hustle and bustle. We saw the storm come in and the view was amazing.
The host was very helpful and communication was great, everything was easy and smooth. Nice little weekend getaway:)

What a wonderful place to camp. Views are beautiful. Camping grounds are nice and flat. Fantastic bush walks right on the property. The host was magnificent. It was raining and we were struggling to get our fire going as the wood was wet. They went above and beyond to help us get it going. Thanks!

This is a great place.
So close to Sydney and yet you could be 1000kms away.
Alex was great and very helpful.
Nice grass cover , view over the valley and sunsets to boot.
We really enjoyed it here and will be back.

Alex was an accommodating and friendly host who met us upon arrival. The views were spectacular over the valley, and even better for both sunrise and sunset! The property was also extremely well maintained, with both firepits and firewood provided.

Really beautiful campsite with extraordinary views of Berowra waters National Park. Close to walking trails and water activities. The camping area is flat and grassy, fires are permitted in washing machine firepits. Our kids loved playing a few soccer matches and we managed to keep warm at night, we were given plenty of firewood. The best part: Less 60min drive from the city. Well suited for groups of friends or families with older kids.
A few things to consider:
-Toilets are not handy, there is a house about 100mts from campground you need to ask for toilet access every time you need it… not convenient if you have a call from mother nature at 1:00am
-There are dogs around and we found a lot of dog #2s in the campground which ended up in our kids shoes and all over our caravan. May not be suitable for people with dog allergies or sensitive to animals or smells in general
-We found broken glass scattered around so be careful if you enjoy walking barefoot or have young kids
-There are rusty metal poles laying around everywhere so again, careful with kids
-Have a general inspection when you arrive and look for hazards if you have small kids.. one of our kids fall into what we think it was a wombat hole literally 1 meter from the firepit. The hole was covered in weeds so we didn’t see it. Scary momment but thanksfully we managed to pull her out with minor scratches only
if the above points are addressed his property has the potential to become a dream campground only a few minutes drive from home

The view and the sunset were nice. Alex did a wonderful job making the camp fire, so I was able to sit beside it at night and keep warm. Generally very quite but on occasion in the afternoon you can hear the dogs in the kennels next door. Plenty of bush to walk through. Only toilet on the property was at the host's house. Camp site is very secure as its behind a coded gate.
