I had a bit of an unfortunate experience with this site. Im not posting to complain, just to set expectations for future campers. I ended up leaving early that night because what was advertised on the website was not what I was provided. Showers were not available (not hooked up) and they were pretty run down. The hike to the river was pretty flooded with a lot of mud that not even a truck can get through. (which I can’t put any blame to anyone) but it will take quite some time for it to clear up. The firewood listed as to be available is actually the woods. You have to find your own campfire wood. Since it’s rained a lot recently, most of it is wet. Luckily I had a little left over from my prev camp trip that lasted an hour or two. There was a DJ with really loud music testing out their sound equipment at the site that the host warned us about when we got there. It was a long trip to get there so I wasn’t going to turn back. They played til around 10pm.this site was more expensive than most and was falsely advertised.

Lo Siento Mucho Emanuel, Sorry to read about your experience. Showers are solar power and normally get hooked up first weekend in June. This is mainly because it can be cold in May just like it was the days before your stay. I will have to take pictures of the showers and put them on the site so others can see what they look like so no confusion. Yes it rain for days changes the landscape and also makes it very muddy. Its takes a few days to clear up after heavy rains. We give you the option on finding your own wood and burn all you want or we can deliver wood for you and we tell everyone this when we check you in. Most guest like that idea because its all free to burn as much as you want. We also understand that some campers don't want to look for wood so we give them that option. I have someone that will be cutting wood for future campers and we will improve this amenities concerning this exact situation. This was memorial day weekend and these guest told us about playing music and asked if was okay. They told us about a sound system they were testing and said that other guest were invited to come and enjoy if they would like. These guest also went around and ask campers if it was okay. I told them to keep the volume down and to turn it off at 10pm. They again later went out and asked the closes campers to their site if the volume level was okay and all agreed it was. Since you were camping the greatest distance away I guess they must not have asked you. I have to disagree with false advertisement because we want campers to be happy and enjoy their experience. We tell everyone coming in if they need something to come and ask us because if we don't know, then we can't address the problem. We did talk to you when leaving and took your trash when this is a leave no trace property. We asked you then how was your stay and you said it was fine except for the music. Again I'm really sorry that your experience wasn't what you thought. We will take more pictures and post them soon. We strive on making this a good experience. My wife Patricia gets her joy from helping others achieve their best experience too and is happy to refund as long as we know that is what you prefer.

Big, generous site. Plenty of space and privacy. Quiet, clean and with all the necessary conveniences and amenities for primitive camping. (Porta potty, shower bar, fire rings.)
Host was hospitable and friendly. Spent a lovely weekend on the river and stargazing at night. Dog friendly. Directions are accurate, beautiful drive, not difficult to find.
Overall great experience.

We could not have asked for a more hospitable stay. We drove my car down to the river and camped there. My AWD vehicle made it down just fine but somewhere along the way got a puncture in a tire wall. We noticed the next morning that the tire was flat and the hosts helped us get our spare aired up and get us ready to go. The place is beautiful but for our first time out the hosts where what really stood out. We're very excited to go back (with 4 new tires) to get to take in the rest of the beauty.

It’s a beautiful piece of land to explore. We drove down the 4x4 paths to the river. Very natural land with lots of wildlife. We pitched our tent near the creek and our dogs had a great time exploring. I would recommend not taking your car back past the main property because the roads/paths get pretty rough, but the drive to park at the main area of cleared land with fire pits is easy to get to with any vehicle.

Beautiful private peaceful space on Lance's personal property. Backs up to the woods, lots of hiking, and down the trail a bit is the river. Great convenient port a potty but not so close that it's in your face or nostrils. Two really friendly dogs who played hard with our heeler. Shower looks cool but we didn't get a chance to use it this trip. Shopping is 15 minutes down the road. Overall really really nice spot. We plan to come back and perhaps bring friends!

We dropped our s'mores skewer down in the circle table...wondered what else was down there. It's yours if you can retrieve it. : )There are clear paths plus the resident dogs will guide youMore trails River was flooded so we could go no further. The campsites are at the top of a hill above the river. Good is no worries about getting flooded out and we camped through strong rain. Bad is if you plan to float it's probably gonna be a trek from where you camp.

The campground was nice, our kids had a blast, we walked down to a creek and they played in it for a couple of hours, if there is one thing that really makes this campground it's the host. Very hospitable, make you feel very comfortable, and inform you of the area.
