The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has dubbed Gooseberry Falls State Park “the gateway to the North Shore,” and who are we to argue? Lucky for all of us, the state allows camping at Gooseberry Falls State Park Campground so you can stay awhile and soak it all in. Breathtaking waterfalls, the river gorge, bluffs overlooking Lake Superior—did we mention the campground is on the shores of Superior? Make Gooseberry Falls your annual camping destination and discover something new and amazing every time.

Beautiful falls here, definitely a must see! Park isn't all that big but its a good one night stop when visiting the parks of the North Shore!

If you are hiking the Superior Hiking Trail, this is an awesome spot to get away from the crowds!

Not my favorite place to camp. The sites are very crowded, loud, and busy. Would be a good place for kids. The hiking trails are busy, but the scenery is beautiful.
