Please read before booking: This is a working certified organic farm, not a developed commercial campground. Tent bookings are for walk-in / away-from-vehicle camping. To camp with or near your vehicle, book the RV/Vehicle listing. You must provide a specific arrival time that we both agree on. This has rarely happened, but if you miss the agreed arrival window by more than 45 minutes, your reservation may be canceled. If you foresee not being on time, please make sure to communicate promptly and we'll do our best to accommodate you, but sometimes, regretfully, we may have to cancel your reservation. Amenities are rustic. Our 130 acre property is currently an organic heirloom vegetable seed farm that is only 12 minutes from Ann Arbor. We've converted this former conventional agricultural land to a beautiful oasis of Certified Organic seed production and homesteading. The rolling land is 1/2 forest/wetlands and 1/2 fields, making it a biodiverse hot spot for plants, animals, and fungi. Nature abounds at Nature and Nurture Farm so come enjoy our private camping spots.

"RV/Vehicle - Organic Farm Ann Arbor" For Main Camp or Nettle Camp use "Tent Only - Organic Farm Ann Arbor" For Sunrise Meadow, Sunrise Hill, Sunset Meadow, or Site #9 use "Tent Only2- Organic Farm Ann Arbor" Occasionally, if requested in advance and if we have time, farm produce is for sale and sometimes farm-to-table lunches can be arranged in advance for a suggested donation of $15+. The most likely days for a farm lunch would be on Thursdays or Fridays, usually around 12:30 or 1 pm. Please request a farm lunch before arriving and we'll see if we can accommodate you. We also sell fruit trees, seedlings, vegetable seeds, and certified organic produce. We are an organic farm so it's very important to practice proper sanitation and not to leave your waste here on our land (no foxholes - do not bury your waste, pack it out!). Sometimes this site is closed for special events without advance notice. Sunrise Hill Camp is a secluded site in the Northwest corner of a field and at the top of a hill. A 10-15 minute hike from the farmstead, it sits at the top of a hill with a beautiful view to the South. You will likely hear coyotes at night and get a great view of the stars here. Firewood from site 9 can be carried to this site. At your request, we can provide a table and chairs. It is a 10 minute walk to the portapotty so plan to pack your waste out or go for an early morning run. Sunset Meadow Camp is a seldom-used and secluded site on the east side of a field. A 10-15 minute hike from the farmstead, it sits mid-slope on a hill with a beautiful views all around. You will likely hear coyotes at night and get a great view of the stars here. Firewood from Sunrise Meadow or site 9 can be carried to this site. At your request, we can provide a table and chairs. It is a 10 minute walk to the portapotty so plan to pack your waste out or go for an early morning run. Site Number Nine is a farm favorite for being a secluded site. A 10-15 minute hike from the farmstead, it sits at the top of a hill with a beautiful view to the South. You will likely hear coyotes at night and get a great view of the stars here. It has firewood for sale. At your request, we can provide a table and chairs.. It is a 10 minute walk to the portapotty so plan to pack your waste out or go for an early morning run. What a beautiful property. We stayed in one of the two RV spots, but there are lots of other tent camping spots. Michael was very responsive and accommodating, and the land was spectacular. Beautiful restored native prairies and woods for daily walks. Also very close to Ann Arbor (even closer to Dexter!)

It was okay
The property was gorgeous and Mike was very friendly and communicative. We camped with a toddler, and having to park the car a 1/4 mile away from the site was a bit of a pain (that part wasn’t listed in this particular site’s description, though I did see it in the other site’s description). It would have also been nice had the fire been set up with a grill/enclosure for cooking and easy and safety. There was some poison ivy/loose dogs in the site which made letting the toddler play in the site unideal. The walk around the property Mike recommended was lovely in the morning, and the site was nice and secluded. All in all, it was a good place to stay, but the value was mediocre for the cost. Some relatively minor improvements would have dramatically increased our comfort and value, especially with a toddler.

Yes — toilets are available at every site at Nature and Nurture Farm. We have a portapotty that has with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. We are a certified organic farm. Please do not dig a cat hole for your poop while on our farm as it could jeopardize our organic certification. We are not willing to risk human health or the pristine ecosystem of our farm with your waste. If you have a larger group or just want your own portapotty, we can order an extra one for you with advance notice (approximately $125 extra).
