Incredible Valley Views Your private campsite offers a spacious area with a brand-new underground fire pit, a hammock station, and a picnic table that seats six. The pass-through driveway leads directly to your site off Sunway Drive. You’ll have 1.5 acres of land to enjoy, with plenty of room to roam and hike in the surrounding area. You’ll have excellent cell service and a strong 5G connection, so phone calls and social media are no problem. Please be respectful of the grounds and exercise caution with campfires and smoking. Guest Access: There is only one way to access the site, so please follow the provided directions carefully. GPS may lead you to a route that is not vehicle-accessible. You will drive through a residential neighborhood before entering the forest property — please drive slowly and respectfully. Other Things to Note: Please pack out all trash. We do not provide bins to avoid attracting animals or scattering debris in the wind. Important: You must have a self-contained toilet system and pack out all waste. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended, but standard cars and RVs up to 30 feet can access the site by driving slowly. Low-clearance sedans can also make it with care. Please know your vehicle’s limits. Parking is available directly on the campsite, leading up the driveway. We’re animal-friendly! Pets are welcome — just be sure to clean up after them to help keep the property beautiful. Take Pictures and Share: We love seeing your photos and artistic shots of the land during your stay! Loved this campsite. It was perfect for a group of eight of us. We stayed one night here and one night in Joshua Tree Park. This was cool because you have the place to yourself. You see a lot more Joshua trees here than you do in the actual Park. I will definitely be coming back.

We tent camped, the weather was nice, the firepit was a nice size. There was a little light pollution along the horizon, but the sky right above us at night was beautiful.

Directions were clear, the little road up to the site was fun. The views were perfect. A few campers on other sites, but nature camouflaged them. Our campsite was perfect. Higher than others, giving us great views & it’s very clean. Very tranquil & quiet at night. Nice camp table & wonderfully big fire pit! We just loved it & will be back. I camp a lot & must say this is one of my favorite spots. Thank you!

This issuch a great spot. First time at this site, but have spent a good amount of time at their other camp spot. I like the space, the fire pit, and the sunset and sunrises are worth the trip alone. I’m a very self contained and sufficient camper, and if that is you, you’ll love the place.

We had a guys night here and we loved it, our own little piece of desert, no kids, no worries, just the guys, a campfire and way too much food! We didn’t wander around the property, we just stayed in the main area and we had five trucks fit no problem. We will be back!

We have been using Hipcamp for a while now & this site is one of the best we have stayed at! As others have mentioned, you are able to see additional people camping in front of you & older campers to your right, but the site still feels private. We had no issue with our camper getting to the site. However, a low clearance camper could possibly have some problems. Also, just as a FYI for dogs & kids we did see a coyote in front of our camper on our last morning!

I loved tent camping on David's land. It was wide open! My dogs got to be off leash the whole time, which made their experience wonderful. There was no city noise. Peace and quiet! The nights were beautiful. If you are a stargazer you will have an amazing view. David was very helpful and the directions he provided were easy to follow. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a out of the way "roughing it" camp site!

The spot was incredible. Just like advertised it has a firepit and picnic table. The views are amazing. This location is best suited for vehicles that can drive uneven terrain. Would happily book again.

Great little quiet spot. Can see a couple other campers in the distance but still felt secluded enough. Easy to pull our 20' trailer, another 2wd low clearance car made it easily going slowly. Would book again.

This was a fantastic site—clean, well-maintained, and wonderfully secluded! It was much more private than being at any of the Park’s campgrounds, making it a great option for us, especially with our dog. He loved having the ability to explore safely off leash. The directions to the site were clear and easy to follow, and everything was exactly as described. There is some nearby property visible from the site, but it still felt very private and peaceful. Would definitely come back!

Joshua Tree is a magical place but we all know the challenges of getting a campsite in the park without planning months in advanced. David's Campsite made our spur of the moment, spontaneous adventure plans come true. The location was close enough to Yucca Valley for quick errands but private enough to feel like we were boondocking in the middle of nowhere. We were able to ride our bikes into Joshua Tree National Park and spent the weekend exploring. It was nice to have a secure campsite to come home to. Thank you David! We will be back.

Great spot! Directions are easy to follow. I felt safe as a solo female traveler. Some people riding dirt bikes/ATV’s and saw one other group camped out but it didn’t bother me. Very secluded other than that. Thanks for having me!

David's camping property reminded us of times when we camped inside Joshua Tree National Park, but better! Secluded site away from the city lights & noise & people. The campsite was large, flat, clean, and had lovely J.trees scattered thoughout the views. We enjoyed the wonderful sing-song of the coyotes in the distance every evening for a few minutes (accompanied by some local dogs in nearby area). The firepit and picnic table were a welcoming feature that we appreciated. It was a little tricky to navigate to the campsite, but follow David's exact directions and you'll be fine. Gracious host!! We'll be back for sure! Thank You David!

It was easy to find if you follow the directions give to you. They felt overwhelming at first, but when I was trying to find it, it was easy. Dogs had lots of space to walk around and the fire pit was very lovely.
