If you looking for Serenity and Seclusion under the amazing Joshua Tree night sky, amazing sunsets/sunrises, surrounded by mountains in the distance, you’ve found it!! If you have yet to experience the healing, recharging that comes from unwinding in the desert, well you can find that and so much more on our land. You and your guests will have 2.3 acres all to yourself. Our land perimeter has been fenced, therefore you will not have to worry about knowing if you are in the right spot, or others invading your space. It may sound like I’m just being extra :), but once you spend a night or two here you will know exactly what I mean about the healing that can be found here. Come enjoy the peace that comes from being engulfed by God’s amazing creation.After a visit to the Milky Way Stay in Joshua Tree you will have no doubt that there’s something different about the Desert! The night skies on our land seem to awaken a childlike awe in the observer, the solitude and serenity bring healing and recharge to a busy, anxious soul. It may sound like I’m being extra, but after a stay here you too will know exactly what I mean😁 You and your guests will have 2.3 Acres all to yourself, surrounded by mountains in every direction, the views of the sunrise/sunset are simply amazing as this land sits slightly on a hill. The natural vegetation along with just being beautiful adds privacy to your stay here. The land has been fenced so you will know you’re in the right spot, as well as not have to worry about anyone else coming into your space. There are huge tree stumps provided for sitting around the fire pit and just living your best life, lol. We have recently added an Additional site for your enjoyment. You now have the luxury of choosing of a site that is more intimate, or one that is more open!! The sites are minimal for the simple fact that we want nature to be the main star of the show. A huge plus is that our site is located about 12 minutes from Downtown JT and about 18 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park... and Yes, in the summer you can see the Milky Way on a clear night! 😁

The perfect stay for star gazing

Loved the area so peaceful and quiet. It was a perfect spot to look up at the stars. Ralph was a super great host, he answered all my questions and concerns. Also the people around there were so friendly. I wonder off driving around to explore the area and got stuck in the sand. People came out and asked if I needed help and call someone who could pull me out thank god I thought I was gonna be stuck there the whole night. But other than that experience which was my fault . Everything was perfect

This was my first time ever camping and I loved it. The spot is pretty secluded but not literally in the middle of nowhere which I liked. Everything seemed well kept. The bathroom was very clean. We left some wood for the next guests to enjoy the fire pit! Lovely place, will definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Great location to camp if you're wanting to visit Joshua Tree National Park. Its a short drive from the west entrance. Its close enough to shops but feels secluded and private. The fire pit got a lot of use and loved that there were 4 tree stumps as seats!

Views of the sunrises, sunsets, and stars at Milky Way Stay were beautiful. It was far enough away from others but close enough to town - a perfect place to camp while exploring Joshua Tree National Park and the surrounding mountain preserves. Would definitely recommend.

Such an amazing time staying here. We tent camped and it was perfect! Getting to see the stars and blood moon was the highlight of the trip fs. It was nice getting to be away from all the sites in the national park but still being close enough to do activities. Will definitely be booking again!

Perfect solitude in the desert. The spot is easy to find and is very nice and quiet. We spent a relaxing evening with a gorgeous sunset and a quiet night. There was a light cloud cover so the stars were visible but not as bright as they would have been. Would definitely consider it again.

We have a new favorite place to camp near Joshua Tree. The space itself was flat, well laid out for tents or car camping, quiet with great views, has two gathering areas with fire pits, and a clean porta potty. Ralph was a great host who gave us perfect directions. We'll definitely be back.

This site was perfect to escape the city and be able to take in the quiet night sky. There are some homes nearby so you don't feel totally freaked out, but you have plenty of privacy. Having our own out house made a huge difference and it was clean. Directions are perfect and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

What a great little dispersed-feeling camping area. We had it to ourselves, the outhouse was a bonus and the kids loved exploring the varied plant life. Heard coyotes and saw every star possible. Super easy commute to Joshua Tree and the oasis in Palm Springs. Great to come back to after a day of bouldering.

Overall we had a great experience, due to our late arrival we didn’t get to use the space as much as we wanted. But we’ll set up and felt private and remote. Would stay again if in the area.

What an amazing site! I’d highly recommend this site to anyone that wants to be secluded away from most other popular camp sites and neighbors. We had a blast and Ralph was awesome! Will definitely be back!

This is my second time being at this spot and it’s still awesome. Love the pit, the openness, and the bathroom! The stars were absolutely a beauty and I did happen to see a shooting star. It was windy this time though and had to pull out the arsenal of stakes and tie downs, but we made it through! Recommend!

Milky Way Stay is a beautiful space to experience the quiet calm of the upper desert. For someone who lives about 70 minutes away in suburban Southern California, it is a convenient escape where there is no fear of hearing the roar of a gas powered lawn blower. My stay was close to a full moon, so not many stars on display on the nights I stayed, but it is a great desert sky space with not a lot of light pollution. I will definitely. book again during a different moon phase for a desert sky break! Easy to find; well marked with signs and the porta potty is clean and well stocked.

This was a nice and clean campsite. I was happy that the porta potty was clean and fresh and didnt stink. We had a nice time here. It was a nice fireside set up. The stars were gorgeous to see and far enough from town that there wasnt a ton of light pollution. I appreciate the stay.
