Chief Keokuk Campground at Johnson-Sauk Trail State Recreation Area offers a plethora of electrical and tent campsites, modern restrooms and seasonally available showers. Watch the terrain’s response to the seasons at this nature grove. Roam through green, grassy fields exploding with wildflowers varietals--bluebells, field daisies, goldenrods, and more unfold in an hombre of bloom from spring until the fall on the north end of the park. Explore wooded & rugged & rolling terrain in the south. Come back in the winter for fresh pow pow and hot cocoa.
